- copypastry, on 07/09/2009, -2/+18Egon is a buffet of manliness.
- AndrewDB, on 07/09/2009, -1/+16I'm the biggest Ghostbuster's fan ever, I own Ghostbusters 1 & 2 both on DVD, and Bluray (don't even have a bluray player), I still have my Ghostbusters Sega Master system game from when I was a kid and dressed up as Egon for Halloween, I have the Real Ghostbusters dvds and the crappy cartoon one dvds, but I'm sorry, I'm -extremely- worried about this.
Please Dr. Spengler, Mr. Ramus.. from the bottom of my, and several other fans hearts. DO NOT ***** THIS UP. - smacksaw, on 07/09/2009, -0/+14You ought to see a doctor and get that checked out.
- rocknog, on 07/09/2009, -0/+12Glad to see someone in the industry who recognizes that visual effects aren't a substitute for characters, good writing, etc.
- Bowd99, on 07/09/2009, -0/+10Are you a God?
- markgl, on 07/09/2009, -0/+8Then... DIE!
- ShingoEX, on 07/09/2009, -1/+9Don't like it? Don't watch it.
Stop being stupid. - Kidddrunkadelic, on 07/09/2009, -0/+8When someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!!
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 07/09/2009, -0/+7He-Man!!
- unrequited, on 07/09/2009, -2/+9...after what they did with the new Ghostbusters video game, I'm very excited for the next movie. They haven't lost it, even though "Yahtzee" doesn't like it. > )
- frepnog, on 07/09/2009, -1/+8i will be VERY surprised if Ghostbusters 3 actually gets made. They have said that for all intents and purposes the new game IS Ghostbusters 3. I mean, we'll see and all, but I am not holding my breath. The guys are just too old and I really don't want to see NEW Ghostbusters. I mean, come on, do you REALLY want Michael Cera, Jack Black and or Seth Rogan chasing Slimer?
I know I dont. - soothslayer, on 07/09/2009, -0/+7I collect spores, molds, and fungus
- planetmatt, on 07/09/2009, -0/+6No.
- rft3rd, on 07/09/2009, -0/+6I feel gypped. I was expecting 19 more seconds.
- DankJemo, on 07/09/2009, -0/+6I will be pleasantly surprised if they actually do make a Ghostbusters 3. I would want to see another Ghostbusters, especially after the video game. The Ghostbusters movie was the first thing I ever remember watching as a kid, I wore out multiple copies of my Ghostbusters VHS tapes, and Ghostbusters II was the first movie I ever saw in theaters. I can't help but have a connection to the characters, the stories, and the actors themselves. Even though I don't know them personally for a period of my life I watched them almost everyday. Even today, I am still amazed by the amount of imagination that went into making the first two films, and still regularly watch the movies.
The one thing I am stuck on, is how would they pull it off. The Actors are obviously much older than they were when the first two were shot, and I still think it could be pulled off if they had some "replacements" and kept the original Ghostbusters around as consulting and investigating, or things like that. I would just kind of be at a loss for who would actually play these "replacements". I have a hard time wrapping my mind around replacing the original actors, at least in the way of the guys doing the "busting." Even though the films are timeless, the actors aren't.
I do like how Harold Ramis mentioned that they don't need to do another Ghostbusters, or that we as fans don't "need" another Ghostbusters, and they aren't looking to make more money. It just sounds like it is a project that they are interested in doing, which is something that I think is lost on hollywood, and has been for quite some time... As for special effects, I wouldn't mind them using all the old tricks, I don't want to see a CGI slimer, and I liked the models, and people dressed up in costumes. I really think that helped make Ghostbusters what it was, and if they use CGI through the entire file I feel like that would be killing an important part of the movie... He does make a great point when he says something to the affect of "you can tell when it is fake." At any rate the movies are gold. If they don't make another one I wont be heart-broken, but I would be curious to see what they could do with it. - TownIdiot, on 07/09/2009, -1/+5Off topic - I wish he would consider making a Groundhogs Day sandbox video game.
- buddamus, on 07/09/2009, -0/+4WHO YOU GONNA CALL!!!!!!!!
- eloestea, on 07/09/2009, -1/+4Harrison Ford got 65 million for Indy 4?

Alan19 is quoting from the new jaded douchebag fanboy handbook they are handing out in the wanking rooms at comic con.
I love these smug, cynical little ***** who spend their time trying to be too cool and perfect and pretentious about things like Ghostbusters (meant to be fun.) You can't "destroy" a classic by making a sequel anyways. Stop letting Trey Parker and Matt Stone tell you how to think. - St8ofmi9, on 07/09/2009, -1/+4That would probably be a horrible game, but I'd play it.
- AndrewDB, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3Hopefully he stays true to his word on that Visual Effects statement.
- AndrewDB, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3I know. :(
- AndrewDB, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3I have to wait to pick it up.
I'm redecorating my house right now (remodeling my kitchen - Laying tile is a ***** load of work.. ) and it drained my gaming expenditures. :( - JustLetGo, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2Egon, your mucus.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -1/+2montecito pic company...
- Elranzer, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1The only way I would see it is if there are no CGI ghosts. Once I see the trailer, I'll know for sure.
There's a 99% chance I won't see it, since there's a 99% chance they'll go the lazy route and do CGI ghosts. - b8man99, on 07/09/2009, -4/+5Wow - took 10 minutes to stream 2 seconds of footage.... any better sources?
- thecat3290, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1Are you, Alice, menstruating right now?
- TheRealMisterd, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1This is what he looked like in the original movies:

- Elranzer, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1I once had part of a Slinky... but I straightened it.
- Ajajadude, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1The game was just like the movies. I started playing the game, decided to go watch the 2 movies before going too far, went back to the game and it felt like the 3rd movie.
- Ajajadude, on 07/09/2009, -0/+1I think the Ghostbusters game is probably the best thing we could hope for, as far as having the original cast of characters and getting that feeling that you got out of the 2 movies. I just don't see an actual movie with the original cast looking good, it's been too long. Ramis and Akroyd don't really look the part anymore, they certainly don't look like they could be running around after ghosts.
- Elranzer, on 07/09/2009, -2/+2If the script to Ghostbusters: The Game and his latest movies like Year One are any indication, it's going to suck. I'd say he's lost his touch.
Plus the movie nowadays would only be made as a full out animated movie, or a "live-action" movie where it's just the actors against green screen and tons of bad CGI effects. Gone are the days of REAL special effects, like the original two movies had.
Ghostbusters 3 is better off just not being made. - liquidxtension1, on 07/09/2009, -2/+2Play the newly released video game. It's Canon and the story is really feels like ghostbuster movie (originally i think it was supposed to be the 3rd film).
- markgl, on 07/09/2009, -1/+1gotta love the movie scene comment chain.
- deslock, on 07/09/2009, -1/+1Cera... certainly.
He is just the right kind if personality to make it work.
Deer in headlights smile.
Not sure about who else could be in the cast. - Elranzer, on 07/09/2009, -2/+1I felt the Ghostsbusters video game contained 90% rehashed jokes from the two movies and just kinda sucked. Since Ramis has been getting pretty chummy with The Office writers, who helped co-write the unfunny Year One, coupled with the disasterous but highly likely chance of CGI ghosts, I feel that Ghostbusters 3 is doomed to suck.
- OfNumbers, on 07/09/2009, -7/+2What's the telescope for? Spying on trees?

Stop destroying the classics, let it go.
