Anakin's character was just so off compared to Vader's. Vader wasn't a "Ah do what Ah want" type evil, he was loyal to Palpatine until he saw Luke's side. Vader believed in what he and the Emperor were doing. Episode 1 set some (shaky) ground work for some good potential. The loss of Anakin's mother would have been a great start for Anakin to turn to the Jedi and the Republic as symbols of support. A true turn to Vader would have have to involved the Jedi and the Republic failing Anakin somehow. What a shame...

- SeniorScrapper, on 11/21/2008, -1/+4Great article. The Luke one was great and so was this one. Star Wars has good visuals and a rich history but the characters definitely lack some depth and intelligence. Pointing out their stupid moments is enjoyable.
- h0ser, on 11/22/2008, -0/+1it's a Movie. You should really be bashing the writers. If you pay a person a milllion dollars for acting like an idiot, then you're the idiot for paying the million dollars.
