    "His goal was to rid the country of a government that escalated to power through killing, chaos, and destruction."

    Uh the government used FEAR. Killing, chaos and destruction were the results of the decision to make the people afraid of their gov't.

    Also, V allowed himself to get killed because he knew that was the ultimate sacrifice of his "image."

    I don't know about the rest of the movies in this article, but if this person deciphered them the way they did V for Vendetta, then this article is pure *****. No wonder why there is soft core porn.

    Edit: I saw butterfly effect and I think they got their message across quite well. Way to get hung up on time travel.

    Don Cheadle refers to his girlfriend as Mexican and she gets hella pissed telling him that she is from El Salvador or Argentina or something and isn't anywhere close to Mexico, to which he calmly replies:
    "Well, I guess the only mystery then is how all of those remarkably unique and separate cultures all learned how to park their cars in their front yards."
    It's not verbatim but that line cracked me up for weeks man. Hilarious.

  • Kire56, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1What about the fact that the reason V for Vendetta was compelling (well, the comic-book anyways) was because you found yourself rooting for nobody. V wasn't a hero in the book, neither was the government. They were both representative from each extreme end of the political spectrum. The idea, or the "point" of the story was that an extreme of any end generally ends up in chaos and killing. So yeah, V did create more killing and chaos... but that WAS the point.
