It has always been an excellent way to gain impressions about the culture and society that actually produced the film.
- TheLoneWolf071, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude, Know your stories. The reason they put on oil before there final battle here is because they were getting ready for death. This helped them to appear better for their final resting pose. As for the leather, well that's just the movie, help show off the movie. the real spartians valued armor.
