http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QYJMnika0Y - hellengineer, on 10/06/2009, -1/+51my jaw sure has dropped, thanks Pixar for some of the best movies I've watched.
- ModernTenshi, on 10/07/2009, -0/+33How could they forget the opening to Up? The emotion conveyed in those five minutes is beyond anything they've done before. I'll admit, I started tearing up watching it.
- hpi5555, on 10/07/2009, -13/+4320 moments on 20 different pages. Buried.
- mattyz0r, on 10/07/2009, -0/+24Pixar did an amazing job at telling Carl and Ellie's entire life without saying anything.
- Dagreenman, on 10/07/2009, -0/+19The plane scene from the Incredibles was ***** unnerving and genuinely suspenseful.
- NJSlacker, on 10/07/2009, -0/+16Glad to see my two favorites on there (Ego's childhood flashback, and the moment Dash realized he could run on water). Both of those scenes made me smile sooooo wide!
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 10/07/2009, -0/+13I can honestly say that I have never cried that quickly into a movie before. Thank you for posting that for me to watch again.

- imacmike, on 10/07/2009, -0/+7The moment Doug talks.
- majortom1981, on 10/07/2009, -0/+7UP was more of an adult movie when me and my fiance watched it all the children were bored but all the adults were contently watching it.
- dareyoutomove, on 10/07/2009, -0/+7Thanks for almost making me cry again at that scene
- ozroy, on 10/07/2009, -1/+8I don't think it's hitting DVD in the UK yet since it hasn't even been on at the cinema. Opens in two days.
- inkubusfan, on 10/07/2009, -4/+10NOTHING from Up or ANY of the shorts?!?
and on 20 pages?!?!?!?
BUR-*****-IED! - olivcarla, on 10/07/2009, -0/+5Why pictures and not videos of the "jaw-dropping" scenes?
- dmcaudio, on 10/07/2009, -1/+6do the world a favor and never become a movie critic.
- LarkStew, on 10/07/2009, -0/+5Ratatouille is my favourite.
- jerfoo, on 10/07/2009, -0/+4That Anton Ego scene is one of my all-time favorite scenes in ANY movie. It's brilliant. When the scene comes up, I usually have to rewind it a few times because it's so beautiful.
I really didn't like Ratatouille the first time I watched it; I wasn't sure if I'd be able to watch it a second time. Then my 2 year-old got hooked on the movie so I ended up watching it many times.
I realized that what bothered me about the film was it's weak 2nd act. But I noticed that, apart from the minor story flubs, the film is absolutely amazing and has now become one of my favorite Pixar movies. Nearly every shot it amazingly composed. - mywhitenoise, on 10/07/2009, -0/+4Up is one of their best. I've watched all the Pixar movies since I was kid (starting back when I was 9 when Toy Story came out). I'd say Wall-E is best, followed by Up, then Toy Story.
- hughesj919, on 10/07/2009, -1/+4Kevin!
- Jektal, on 10/07/2009, -0/+2Seriously? Wow. That is a killer lead-time. If you haven't pirated it yet, go see it as soon as it opens. And if you have pirated it, I don't need to convince you to see it.
- HIMcDunnough, on 10/07/2009, -0/+2Probably the best sequence of any movie without dialogue. Thanks for linking.
- Rikushix, on 10/07/2009, -0/+2I love how many people here are thinking just the same thing I am. I've never seen a scene in ANY movie that is that short (~10 seconds max?) that captures so much emotion, passion, and power. The best part was that Ego wasn't even a true villain - smarmy and patronizing he may be, but he was nothing more than a minor antagonist. So even as he was "taken down a peg", so to speak, you still liked his character.
- aakoch, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1Jaw dropping?
- valis, on 10/07/2009, -7/+8Yeah - hover and click is such a hardship.
- limabone, on 10/07/2009, -0/+1I cry every time I watch that scene. I wouldn't have before I was married but I certainly do now.
- Spire3660, on 10/07/2009, -0/+1I loved the Dash thing, but i wish they would have added the moment when the whole family meets up in the jungle right as the flying pursuers arrive and they all instantly go into a battle stance and the music theme flares. In that instant they became a superhero group.
- halomaker, on 10/07/2009, -0/+1it's for the UK release... they explain it in the text below the digg headline.
- tamajared, on 10/07/2009, -0/+1Uh, why the diggs down? I'd call the moments heartwarming, nostalgic, smile-inducing. . .
just not jaw-dropping. - mrpunman, on 10/08/2009, -0/+1The moment Alpha talks.
- tdogg241, on 10/07/2009, -0/+1The first one is Luxo Jr.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/07/2009, -0/+1I was going to say, the US doesn't get it until next month.
- maximm, on 10/08/2009, -1/+1Up was one of their worst I'd have to say.
- dramaqueenmama, on 10/08/2009, -0/+0Jaw dropping I do agree but they leave out all the Pixar shorts they have done. I think Bounding is one of my favorites about the little lamb and learning being different is great. Each of the Pixar shorts give a small lesson in a very short time and can either leave us with a tear in our eye or laughing....with a tear in the eye.
- PiddlyD, on 10/07/2009, -2/+2The thing about Toy Story 1, all of the scenes, but it is particularly strong in the "You. Are. A. Toy." sequence and the arcade thereafter, is that it captures a late 70s, early 80s feeling. The toys, as well, as representative of that time, and although there are several anachronisms throughout the movie that make it impossible to place in time relative to reality, I think that the alternate reality of this movie is clearly set in the 80s. There are just so many subtle little cues, from the shape of the car to the kind of lights in the parking lots, that set this tone and feeling, and I think it is brilliant.
- majortom1981, on 10/07/2009, -2/+1Your right. Maybe they didnt see the movie?
- TheEggAndI, on 10/07/2009, -3/+1i have to agree, UP wasnt all that spectacular. im not sure where all the hype was coming from. the icon behind UP, the image of a house floating in the sky by thousands of balloons, is a beautiful and creative one. but it didnt really make for a great film premise. i enjoyed it, but halfway through when im watching an old man and a little boy riding on the back of a large bird who is towing a floating house, i couldnt help but ask myself, "what the hell am i watching?" but the intro sequence was very touching. theres no doubt about that
Wall-E was their best film in my opinion, its the height of pixar's talent. - valis, on 10/07/2009, -7/+4So ... I'm guessing you think that what we really need is a list because Pixar isn't about images?
- uptwolait, on 10/07/2009, -8/+1Her insides were a rocky place where my seed could find no purchase.
- rygoke, on 10/07/2009, -11/+0Pixar robot finds true love and then goes around the universe searching for her. O come on, it's that little dingy thing that messes up the lighting at the beginning of the movie.
- tamajared, on 10/06/2009, -16/+5I love Pixar, but I wouldn't call these moments "jaw-dropping."
- maximm, on 10/07/2009, -14/+1Up was lame, worst Pixar movie yet. It was boring, my 5 year old got bored of it and re-watched Finding Nemo instead.
