- neio, on 01/08/2008, -2/+38I actually though Sean Connery was pretty good in The Hunt for Red Oktober.
- SevenTwo, on 01/08/2008, -1/+23Poor Natalie couldn't escape the suck of those prequels. I'm sure she drys her tears with 100 dollar bills.
- borez, on 01/08/2008, -2/+21How about Robin Williams in probably his last ten films?
- scoreboard27, on 01/08/2008, -0/+17Also, a great title for the adult video equivalent.
- MasteRR, on 01/08/2008, -7/+22Great.... another list...
That's all I see on Digg anymore. Ron Paul and dumb lists. And the occasional squirrel testicle. - plizard, on 01/08/2008, -2/+17they said great actors, nicolas cage doesn't fit into this category.
- plizard, on 01/08/2008, -1/+14wtf was wrong with deep impact, bruce almighty and outbreak???
- PhairOh, on 01/08/2008, -0/+13Eddie Murphy - Everything since the mid 90s
- dvdmations, on 01/08/2008, -0/+12Christopher Walken should be there somewhere, he's a great actor but he's been in more crap then I'd like to count. One that comes to mind is that bear movie ... I saw a poster of it ...
- CloseTheCode, on 01/08/2008, -2/+13He was, and that film was pretty good too. "Truly Sucked" my arse.
- CloseTheCode, on 01/08/2008, -0/+11Linkage to the squirrel testicle?
- fnaqzna, on 01/08/2008, -0/+11Robin Williams plays the same character in every film.
- fnaqzna, on 01/08/2008, -0/+11The key is to act in front of a greenscreen. Then it's okay.
See Sin City or 300? - ChuyMatt, on 01/08/2008, -0/+10the "TRUELY Great Actors" bit would kind of disqualify him, i would think.
- br0ck, on 01/08/2008, -0/+10Travolta was in Battlefield Earth because it's a book written by the Scientology's founder. Whitaker just thought it'd be fun to play an alien:
"Of course, the subtleties in a lot of Forest Whitaker's work (The Crying Game, A Rage in Harlem) were completely abandoned when he joined John Travolta in the execrable Battlefield Earth, one of the great flops of all time. Whitaker knew Travolta from their time together in a much better film, Phenomenon. "I was at his home and he was talking about what he was doing. I told him I always wanted to play an alien. I didn't realize that Scientology was going to be such a big issue." (from http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,58498,00.html ) - FuZ3, on 01/08/2008, -0/+9Wow, Lists like this make me appreciate the Cracked.com lists organization.
- entrophize, on 01/08/2008, -6/+14Eddie Murphy - Norbit.
- Killeroid, on 01/08/2008, -0/+8What about "Balls of Fury" (2007). that ***** sucked. It was not funny at all.
- dyreschlock, on 01/08/2008, -0/+8What about Cuba Gooding Jr. in that crappy boat comedy.
- Llanowar, on 01/08/2008, -0/+8Or Unleashed and Along came a spider?
Seems to me you just don't like the guy. - uberchaoslord, on 01/08/2008, -0/+8This list needs to include Raul Julia in Street Fighter.
- Llanowar, on 01/08/2008, -2/+10Virtuosity was awesome.
- manstein01, on 01/08/2008, -0/+8Remind me not to let you select my movie rentals :-p
- shinyhappydan, on 01/08/2008, -0/+7Jeremy Irons - Dungeons and Dragons
- skav, on 01/08/2008, -0/+6Dude watch the new Coen brothers movie called "No country for old men." You might change your mind about Jones.
- rabbit65434, on 01/08/2008, -0/+6i think a good actor can read a film and know if its the part for them and if the film is good.
sometimes the film is not directed in the right way or it just did'nt cross well from paper to screen - keithc01, on 01/08/2008, -0/+6I have to say this is pretty poorly written and seems to come from a fairly weak knowledge of film. For one example, citing Brad Pitt as a bad actor is always a sign that someone is more into Hollywood than film (see Fight Club & Snatch). I don't disagree with most of the list. But good actors do ***** movies all the time, it's a fact of life. This could easily have been a list of 20-30. I also don't find Flixster very credible in general. Especially since it seems like their primary mission as a company is to annoy the ***** out of me on Facebook.
- cbrunet, on 01/08/2008, -1/+6Wow, you are a disturbed individual. Gangs was a fantastic film, and There Will Be Blood has been getting nothing but heaping amount of praise. It's sitting at 90% on rottentomatoes.
- LordVance, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5Exactly; it's not that he did a poor job in recent films in comparison to his previous work, it's that the man has four jokes and half as many "funny" accents. Doesn't take many films for that to get old...
- yfguitarist, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5Flixster is like the demon spawn of imdb. Horrible movies like Step Up and anything by Tyler Perry get four stars, while actual good movies that are considered classics get three stars because they're "BOREING!"
- cbrunet, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5He decided half-way through Prince of Thieves that he didn't want to use an accent anymore. Doesn't that say anything?
- postalblowfish7, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5Raul Julia in Overdrawn at the Memory Bank:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC3cqMlKX10 - cbrunet, on 01/08/2008, -1/+6The list says good actors... and if we want to say he's good, then how about Eddie Murphy - The Adventures of Pluto Nash.
- Speck, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5They missed Marlon Brando is "The Island of Dr. Moreau".
- TheVirus, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5What's worse is this list is terribly formatted. It puts the movie they are talking about in the middle of the paragraph instead of stating it up front. Not skimming friendly.
- crackedplastic, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5What the hell is with the shameless "flixster" branding throughout that whole page? We're on the site already, guys.
- PhairOh, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5half-way? At exactly what point was he actually using an accent?
- SpectralSounds, on 01/08/2008, -0/+5Yes, really.
- PhairOh, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4I miss MST3K a little more with each passing year of awful movies.
- eradicator, on 01/08/2008, -2/+6Where is Nicolas Cage in Wicker Man? "NOT THE BEES!!!"
- dsendecki, on 01/08/2008, -2/+6Daniel Day-Lewis sucked in Gangs of New York? Prepare to be Dugg down like nobody's business. He rocked the role as Bill the Butcher. Great movie. And no, that's not a subjective call. The movie is awesome; I have proof.
- Nougat, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4He's really good. I don't think he's been given much opportunity to prove that. Kind of like Brendan Fraser. Yeah, I know, Brendan Fraser? But he's really really good in the crappy movies he gets handed.
- skubiszm, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4Didn't Eddie actually write that garbage?
- EvilDr.X, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4No mention of Harvey Keitel in Monkey Trouble?
- SpectralSounds, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4It is most definetely one of, if not the best film ever made. And yes, the prequels were infinitely worse than the original trilogy.
- blaket, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4Garden State was good.
- PhilThePhenom, on 01/08/2008, -1/+5Jack Nicholson in Wolf?
Harrison Ford in K19: The Widowmaker??
The entire cast of Dick Tracy???? - neio, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4Is it just me or is Flixster trying to get people to watch these bad movies by linking to them?
- Charlotte_Web, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3And don't forget "Zardoz" -- a young Sean Connery with a pony tail and a beard, running around in a diaper.
- BedPost, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3If you're not being sarcastic, gtfo.
