  • OrqwithVagrant, on 07/07/2009, -1/+8The Joker wasn't telling Dent the truth, he was saying what he needed to say to manipulate Dent into a certain state of mind. Virtually everything The Joker says and does throughout the whole movie is of this nature; very rarely can anything he says be taken at face value - it's all about provoking the responses and reactions that he wants. If you missed that, I think you missed a major point of both the character and the movie.

    On a note to the author: Peter Parker had to wear glasses in the first movie before he was bitten. When he wakes up the next day he puts his glasses on, only to find he doesn't need them. So when he was losing his powers, he naturally has to start wearing them again.
