10 Movies Needing a Muppet Remake

blog.wired.com — Have you ever considered just how funny a lot of movies could be, if only the producers had cast Muppets instead of humans? I mean, if you think the Terminator movies couldn't get any more awesome, imagine them with Animal playing Schwarzenegger's role. Hear Animal saying "Come with me if you want to live" in your head, and try not to laugh.

    Consider this:
    Miss Piggy as Arwen facing down the Witch King of Agmar "Get not between the Nazgul and their prey, for no man can defeat me...", Arwen removes helm, revealing Miss Piggy "I am no man! HeeeeeeYaaaaaaa" (slays Nazgul)

    Rowlf stands in the dimly lit Bag End holding his crumpled wizards hat in his furry hands "Keep it secret, keep it safe". Later, picture him standing on the Bridge of Arnor Facing down the Balrog with his lyrical goofy voice, "I am the keeper of the secret fire, you SHALL NOT PASS!"

    Kermet was born to play Aragorn, how could he pass up saying "There may come a day when the courage of men and muppets will desert them and they break all bonds of fellowship, but it is NOT THIS DAY! Today we fight" Kermet gets a gleam in his eye and charges single handedly into the legions of Mordor.

But consider Fozzie and Gonzo as Vincent and Jules, and replay the "Royale with cheese" scene in your head. Now add Kermit as Butch (Bruce Willis's character), Sam the Eagle as Marcellus, and Floyd and Janice as Pumpkin and Honey Bunny. Now how awesome is it?"

    Someone needs to make this. I don't know or care who, but someone needs to do this.

    Its Miss Piggy as Éowyn, niece of King Théoden not Arwen daughter of Elrond who gets to say that line. It also allows her to do the unrequited love thing with Kermet/Aragorn.

    Its the "Bridge of Khazad-dûm" in Moria where the Balrog fights Rowlf/Gandalf not the "Bridge of Arnor". Arnor is the ancient realm of the Dúnedains east of the shire around Weathertop, where Aragorn's folk once ruled.

    I've got no corrections to Kermet/Aragorn's adapted speech, but for reference, Aragorn's line from the film (FYI: no speech was said in the books) was; "The day may come when the courage of Men fails; when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship; but it is not this day - an hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the Age of Man comes crashing down - but it is not this day!!! This day we fight!"
