- fitzwillie, on 09/04/2008, -0/+22Of course the ultimate would be Lord of the Rings:
Aragorn: Kermit
Arwen: Piggy
Frodo: Scooter
Sam: Fozzie
Saruman: Sam the Eagle
Gandalf: Rowlf
Smeagol: Gonzo
Boromir: Link
Faramir: Floyd - mockidol, on 09/04/2008, -0/+21FTW: The Swedish Chef as Chewbacca.
- petebot, on 09/04/2008, -1/+21Correction: ALL movies need muppet remakes. Except for the (original) muppet movies, which need live action remakes.
- BXRWXR, on 09/04/2008, -0/+15If they remade some porno movies, would that be bestiality or more of a furry thing?
- monkeeofevil, on 09/04/2008, -0/+11Sadly, Electric Mayhem drummer Animal was put to sleep after brutally attacking the host of Star Search "Ed McMan".

^--Electric Mayhem, behind the music (Robot Chicken) - MattFromSeattle, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9I'd have cast Scooter and Skeeter for Luke and Leia.
- eeemart, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7"Spartans! What is your profession?"
"BORK!! BORK!! BORK!!" - Refluence, on 09/04/2008, -0/+6Dug for:
Prince Humperdinck : Sam the Eagle - ddonahue, on 09/04/2008, -1/+7Fitzwilly, your Muppets LOTR casting is just fantastic! I can hear it all now, it just writes itself...
Consider this:
Miss Piggy as Arwen facing down the Witch King of Agmar "Get not between the Nazgul and their prey, for no man can defeat me...", Arwen removes helm, revealing Miss Piggy "I am no man! HeeeeeeYaaaaaaa" (slays Nazgul)
Rowlf stands in the dimly lit Bag End holding his crumpled wizards hat in his furry hands "Keep it secret, keep it safe". Later, picture him standing on the Bridge of Arnor Facing down the Balrog with his lyrical goofy voice, "I am the keeper of the secret fire, you SHALL NOT PASS!"
Kermet was born to play Aragorn, how could he pass up saying "There may come a day when the courage of men and muppets will desert them and they break all bonds of fellowship, but it is NOT THIS DAY! Today we fight" Kermet gets a gleam in his eye and charges single handedly into the legions of Mordor. - gethelaw, on 09/04/2008, -0/+5I think it'd be funnier if Arnold Schwarzenegger had played Animal's role all along.
"It's not quite a mop...and it's not quite a puppet..." - NumbersAndNoise, on 09/04/2008, -0/+5"7. Pulp Fiction - Yeah, a lot of it would have to be cut, because there are some things that you just don't do to Muppets. But consider Fozzie and Gonzo as Vincent and Jules, and replay the "Royale with cheese" scene in your head. Now add Kermit as Butch (Bruce Willis's character), Sam the Eagle as Marcellus, and Floyd and Janice as Pumpkin and Honey Bunny. Now how awesome is it?"
Someone needs to make this. I don't know or care who, but someone needs to do this. - bagboyrebel, on 09/04/2008, -0/+5He mentioned Star Wars and didn't go with Rowlf for Chewbacca?
- h4mx0r, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4Please don't make Gonzo creepy :(
- HalsMyPal, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4fozzy should completely be obi-wan
- jeremyduffy, on 09/04/2008, -0/+4This is an awesome idea. If you haven't seen Muppets treasure island, you really, really should.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3Aww... hell naw
- ferrofluid, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3'Meet the Feebles' Peter Jackson's film from 1989.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meet_The_Feebles - PoopOnPaul, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3YES
I have ALWAYS said I wanted a Back to the Future Muppets movie. I immediately scanned this list to make sure it was included. - BTConan, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3I prefer not to ask those kinds of questions. Or think about them.
- thrillki1l, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3what about pepe la prawn (he was introduced in muppets from space) I love that little guy. at least give him a part as an extra.
- whazdown, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Harry Potter ftw.
- zodiaqace, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2Bunson as Tyrell is simply genius.
Also, Gonzo howling while chasing Kermit in the Bradbury would be amazing. - Gotar, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2Meet the Feebles looks like it's worth a look.
- ferrofluid, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2Blade Runner !
- D3koy, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2If we're doing Peter Jackson we need Braindead (dead alive)...
- vladikoff, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2No way could Gonzo be Mr. Strickland. He's obviously Sam the Eagle.
- belac88, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2does anyone else think the author of this article has an almost creepy level of muppet knowledge... I mean "Link Hogthrob"... seriously? Who the hell is Link Hogthrob?
- ddonahue, on 09/05/2008, -1/+3Ok, remind me never to make LOTR references from memory ever again. Corrections follow:
Its Miss Piggy as Éowyn, niece of King Théoden not Arwen daughter of Elrond who gets to say that line. It also allows her to do the unrequited love thing with Kermet/Aragorn.
Its the "Bridge of Khazad-dûm" in Moria where the Balrog fights Rowlf/Gandalf not the "Bridge of Arnor". Arnor is the ancient realm of the Dúnedains east of the shire around Weathertop, where Aragorn's folk once ruled.
I've got no corrections to Kermet/Aragorn's adapted speech, but for reference, Aragorn's line from the film (FYI: no speech was said in the books) was; "The day may come when the courage of Men fails; when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship; but it is not this day - an hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the Age of Man comes crashing down - but it is not this day!!! This day we fight!" - Gimjee, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2This would be SO AWESOME if they actually did this.
- theMooseKing, on 09/04/2008, -0/+2"WHAT DOES MARCELLUS WALLACE LOOK LIKE?"
"um...a bird?" - root1657, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1OK, I like it, lets go with it!
So now we get WAY more latitude in picking the human actor to fill in for each muppet...
Arnold is totally in for Animal
Rosie is in for Piggie (screw that betty rubble bs)
Rodney Dangerfield for Fozzie (i'll accept substitutions if someone has a living fit) - Nick519, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1i think i would make floyd gandalf, but other than that, i dig it.
- Nick519, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1come on! "who is link hogthrob"?? --- PIIIIGSSS INNNNN SPAAAAAAAAAAAACEEEE!!
- Tonamel, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1Okay, Gonzo can be Merry or Pippin (or both!), and Gollum can be one of the Yip-yips.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -1/+2Did you notice how many times the writer referred to Miss Piggy as 'beautiful' ?
- dirtyfrog, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1and Rizzo could be which ever Gonzo isn't
- sanman, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Beaker has it all
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfkuvqIqPYk - majortom1981, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1They showed that when jim hensons wife came here to the cinema arts center. that movie is all sorts of screwed up but it was really good.
- Ahnteis, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1I think this one would actually work (unlike most of theirs).
- LLLSecretChimp, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Muppet Tango in Paris
The relationship between Miss Piggy and Kermit would finally be fully explored. - deaconyermouf, on 09/05/2008, -1/+2Maybe it's just me, but I feel like any movie instantly becomes better when you paste Animal's head onto the poster.
- trestevenson, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1That has to be one of my least favorite movies of all time. I hardly believed it was done by Peter Jackson when I watched it. Absolutely awful.
- donna1234, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1Fun stuff:

http://www.webthe.info - wracker92, on 09/05/2008, -1/+2Corona's Coming Attractions did this first back in 1996 when the site made an April Fool's Day film listing for "PULP MUPPETS".
- greatgatsbyII, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Man scooter is getting all the leads. When has that ever happened before?
- DrSarcasm, on 09/05/2008, -1/+2Dug for sheer awesomeness! Muppets + Classic Films = Win!
- SpiraetSpera, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Dugg. Also, if you haven't seen the Greg the Bunny Pulp Fiction Parody sketch, you should.
- caddyalan, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Thanks to a podcast, I heard talk on what a movie along the lines of "Good Morning Muppet-nam" would be like. It would be hilarious.
- the42ndpotato, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1I can't stop laughing at Beaker in the Eraserhead poster
