- RandomEyes, on 09/29/2008, -12/+427I'm sorry, but if you are a man and cried during Titanic, please put your hands down the front of your pants, and check for testicles.
- IndustrialJones, on 09/29/2008, -2/+196Who in the hell cries during Batman Begins?
- DeskFlyer, on 09/29/2008, -2/+142Anyone else shed a few tears when Forrest Gump was reading the letter in front of Jenny's grave?
- badwithcomputer, on 09/29/2008, -3/+136batman begins...really?
- neveroddoreven, on 09/29/2008, -1/+121what if you cry because the acting is so very very bad?
- scottmbeggs, on 09/29/2008, -3/+105I cried when Goose died. There, I said it.
- Shaman760, on 09/29/2008, -3/+94Life is Beautiful. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. I warned you....
- joshreed104, on 09/29/2008, -2/+81Titanic?! Nooooo.... Men are permitted to watch that movie because the sinking scene is freaking awesome... but no, you cannot cry because Jack dies. They knew each other for like two days and I'm sure there were other ***** doors somewhere around.
- vivisimonvi, on 09/29/2008, -4/+77No Schindler's List?
- Sornos, on 09/29/2008, -1/+70The Green Mile
If your eyes don't so much as jerk, you have no soul. - TheBigBad, on 09/29/2008, -12/+79If you are a guy and you have seen Moulin Rouge, I weep...for you.
- Wigmeister, on 09/29/2008, -3/+67Lion King.
Nuff said. - TheBigBad, on 09/29/2008, -0/+64that's perfectly acceptable.
- SpectralSounds, on 09/29/2008, -1/+60That was my first thought. Titanic? Batman Begins? Come on, seriously?
Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption and Big Fish are all movies that if I didn't cry, I at least got choked up some. - mario323, on 09/29/2008, -4/+62Umm, Saving Private Ryan? Maybe. The rest? WTF.
- SarcasticGenius, on 09/29/2008, -2/+59"A Field of Dreams" wasn't on the list, a terrible oversight.
"Dad, wanna have a catch?" ...... "Yeah, I'd like that." - drew52686, on 09/29/2008, -3/+53Buried. No "Bryan's Song" a.k.a. the official guy-cry movie.
Also, personally, I do not know of any guy that cried at the Titanic and who didn't cry at The Green Mile. - Homerr, on 09/29/2008, -5/+49Saving Private Ryan = no
Band of Brothers = yes - Rikushix, on 09/29/2008, -5/+49It's OKAY for guys to cry.
There. I said it. I'm expecting the lightning bolt any second now.
I have to say though...what a weird assortment of movies. Moulin Rouge? Really? I'm perfectly comfortable with saying I got pretty teary at the end of Saving Private Ryan, and I UNDERSTAND crying at Titanic even though it doesn't affect me that way...but like...Batman Begins? Huh?
Other movies I'll freely admit have the power to make me cry:
- Gladiator
- Big Fish
- The Pianist - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -1/+43Uh... Shawshank Redemption??
If we all watched it together, I'm sure we could provide enough water for Africa to last the next 5 years.
(PS: You shouldn't really try to drink your tears.) - doople, on 09/29/2008, -1/+41The scene where Ben Afleck lived?
- apothekari, on 09/29/2008, -0/+38I remember when in the theatre for LOTR:Return of the King a couple of 12/13 year olds were sitting next to us and overheard me quietly explaining to someone I went to the movie with about why the hobbits were so SAD that Frodo and Bilbo were leaving with the elves and wouldn't be able to return and how it was Tolkien invoking the Celtic myth of Summerland which is were you went when you died.
I was getting choked up myself and I feel a tap on my sleeve and I looked to my right and the 2 kids are looking at me with tear filled eyes and saying "You mean Frodo is DYING?",All I could think to say was "Yes, In a sense"...Man, I felt really bad then. - TheBigBad, on 09/29/2008, -1/+39WTF, no "Old Yeller"? Who the hell makes this list and leaves off "Old Yeller"?
- FeloniusMonkey, on 09/29/2008, -3/+40In that case, I cried all throughout Indiana Jones 4.
- filmstruck, on 09/29/2008, -3/+37The one film I think men should be ashamed to cry at is not on the list 'Schindlers List'!!
- alenade, on 09/29/2008, -9/+42The Iron Giant! I freakin' balled at that last scene. Last week. Brad Bird somehow gets me. Iron Giant, I cried, the Incredibles, I regularly watch and cheer aloud at most scenes, and Ratatouille is almost the same way, a little less though. I hope 1906 continues the trend.
- santiago1, on 09/29/2008, -0/+30 I cry (well, more like teary-eyed and goosebumps) when David Gilmour launches into the solo during "Comfortably Numb", does that count?
- LemonHerb, on 09/29/2008, -0/+30Grave of the Fireflies. If you don't cry there's something wrong with you. Just like if you cry at most of the movies on this list, there something wrong with you.
- VIJoe, on 09/29/2008, -0/+26That last episode where they interview the real guys. Ballin' like a Bitch.
Something about seeing old men cry gets me every time. - bluebirdgm, on 09/29/2008, -4/+30How about the scene that any boy of the 80's must've shed a tear at...the death of Optimus Prime in the animated Transformers feature film?
Other film moments that admittedly get me misty-eyed:
- The final scene of the original "My Sassy Girl."
- The kite scene (and its aftermath) in "All About Lily Chou-Chou."
- "Dancer in the Dark"--don't watch if you're borderline suicidal, it'll send you over the edge. - Aidje, on 09/29/2008, -2/+28What about Bambi?
- triferlinks, on 09/29/2008, -5/+29The Dark Knight has a more credible reason for guy's to cry.
good job leaving out Schindler's List and Brian's Song - PhillyMJS, on 09/29/2008, -0/+23Saving Private Ryan, yes, at the end. And Band of Brothers, the episode where they liberate the concentration camp gets me every time. Powerful stuff.
- GuyDanger, on 09/29/2008, -3/+26Where the hell is Braveheart?
Wouldn't cry at any of these movies...the lister must be a little fruity! - MaxMWood, on 09/29/2008, -3/+25The only film I remember crying at and was sad enough to make me never want to watch it again was, Click. Anyone with me on this?
- ericthegreat, on 09/29/2008, -1/+23The only thing sad about Batman Begins is Katie Holmes acting.
- palehorse864, on 09/29/2008, -0/+22I'll never let go Jack *Dumps him in the water*
- MRintheKeys, on 09/29/2008, -1/+21Joel Schumacher
- doople, on 09/29/2008, -0/+19Why the hell didn't they take turns on the door?
- pap232323, on 09/29/2008, -1/+19i cried watching the notebook i think it helped me get laid.
- flangle, on 09/29/2008, -0/+18Where the Red Fern Grows. Book is even more cry-making.
- Rikushix, on 09/29/2008, -1/+19OK there, Mr. Emotion Nazi.
- NeoCortex, on 09/29/2008, -1/+19I cried when Spock died, or at least during the funeral scene. I still get choked up during Kirk's speech.
- JEWestbrookJR, on 09/29/2008, -2/+19The part of LOTR:FOTR that was a tear jerker to me was when Frodo was trying to go alone and Sam, who couldn't swim chases him into the water. I about lost it.
- ryanpw, on 09/29/2008, -1/+18Who in the hell cries during Lord of the Rings !
- EvilFerret, on 09/29/2008, -0/+17There's a few tearjerkers on that list, although some not so much (Titanic WTF???). That said, Jurassic Bark from Futurama blows them all out of the water. It's easily the saddest thing I've ever seen on TV.
- vikblazin, on 09/29/2008, -0/+17i sobbed like a little bitch when mufasa died
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+16Loss of a giant kickass robot = acceptable sad moment.
- Rikushix, on 09/29/2008, -4/+20Liar. You aren't sorry at all.
