- IvenomI, on 11/07/2009, -1/+25Primer. $7000 dollar budget, one of the best movies I have ever seen.
- thewhits, on 11/07/2009, -1/+20Mindblowing?
Not even close. All these movies look like teh suck. - bobbymoney, on 11/07/2009, -1/+10How are any of these movies mindblowing? what was the point of that list? That didn't make the least of sense.
- TheKriket, on 11/07/2009, -0/+9agreed. I was coming here to say the same thing.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390384/ - firesights, on 11/07/2009, -1/+7Personally, I hated this list. The format is annoying, and when they repeatedly use, "Hey, it's actor X!" as a reason to see a film, it tends to kill my interest.
I'm betting the digg commenters can come up with a much more competent list. With better reasons. - Lowenfels, on 11/07/2009, -0/+4Long Flat Balls...I'm praying to the distribution gods right now.
- JediPilot, on 11/07/2009, -0/+3That's it, I'm going to find a way to watch it. It has been mentioned too many times here.
Also have yet to watch Moon. - JoeHague, on 11/07/2009, -0/+3You can watch it on Google video. Although it isn't high resolution, I think it's still watchable.
And by watchable, I mean you're going to have to watch it four times to really understand what the ***** happened. - bigpun, on 11/07/2009, -1/+4See it all on one page - mind you, not a great list anyway imho

...maybe due to the Google Video resolution, but even on DVD you'll have to watch it 3-4 times to really know what's happening. - eliburford, on 11/07/2009, -0/+3Same with Rambo V - the film they started the list with.
- kkthxbye, on 11/07/2009, -0/+2Everyone who hasn't seen Moon yet, should give it a try. I think I remember reading, it had a budget of around 5 Million USD.
I personally loved the movie. - JoeNaguib, on 11/07/2009, -1/+3Dugg for Kevin Sorbo.
- acknotSW, on 11/07/2009, -0/+2Fools, all of you. Don't you realize that if low budget movies, made with actors and directors who haven't proven themselves able to bring in 30 to 150 million dollars on opening weekend, can be made and get a decent level of distribution it will end hollywood as we know it?
If a flood of actors with more talent and ability than tom cruise or nicolas cage suddenly get nationwide exposure, then established actors like those mentioned might not be able to get millions of dollars per movie. We might even reach a point where so many movies are known to the general public that they won't have time to watch even a tenth of those movies.
Then what would happen? Chaos on a scale you can't even imagine. If too many movies are made and they all get fairly wide distribution and the general public is aware of them, then people might only watch the good ones; hollywood can't survive if that happens. - stonedgeek, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Saw that on the weekend. Good movie but I feel like I have to watch it again to really get what's going on
- pikpikcarrotmon, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1I recommend Timecrimes (Cronocrimenes), a tiny little Spanish movie made on a threadbare budget. It has literally four actors in the entire movie, but has an awesome plot. It spirals out of control and weaves in and out of itself but yet never once gets confusing. It's also due for an American remake in 2011, which at least shows that it was good enough for big studio heads to notice it.
This article is pretty bad, though. I'm fairly certain that Rambo V is not going to be "modestly budgeted". - pbgswd, on 11/07/2009, -1/+2why is this on the front page? Georgia isnt even out yet.
- jeremymccurdy, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1Especially because that poster makes it look like Hercules with a sword instead of space captain with bad haircuts as we saw in Andromeda.
- JoeDiggsIt, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1I think I'm getting used to the expensive CGI, because the fairly mediocre special effects in Moon was the one nagging annoyance in Moon for me. That said, I absolutely loved the story. And the nihilism. Sam Rockwell was incredible also.
- Jektal, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1Plus Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) in a movie is way more interesting than Val Kilmer
- nseb, on 11/07/2009, -1/+2The Man from Earth
$200,000 budget - styx31989, on 11/07/2009, -1/+2you just summed up everything I was going to say.
- monkeysama, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1Primer
Brick
Equilibrium
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Boondock Saints
...off the top of my head, I think those were all fairly cheap and all awesome. - Jektal, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1Netflix has it as Timecrimes: http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Timecrimes/70084258?s ...
- reticulate, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1Holy *****, Chevy Chase.
Whatever happened to him anyway? - dave122, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1good flick.
- monkeysama, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1http://www.hulu.com/community
- cjr71244, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1very good, but not for everyone
- firesights, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1Not sure about the budget, but Sunshine looks awesome too. Haven't seen it yet, but I've heard good things.
- pikpikcarrotmon, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1Cronocrimenes is its original untranslated name, but yes, that's definitely the movie.
- dmcaudio, on 11/08/2009, -1/+1someone on that page commented,
"Silent Venom? As opposed to the noisy kind?"
Noisy Venom = Nickleback - billb914, on 11/07/2009, -1/+1Dammit Primer was the first movie that came to mind when I read the title. This list SUX
- 5thdigg, on 11/08/2009, -1/+1buried, cause the article and movie list were *****.
- diggduggjoe, on 11/07/2009, -2/+1Or, try the independent film makers like a friend of mine. Now they have low budgets!
