- badqat, on 11/01/2009, -1/+58Stallone as Axel Foley...ugh. That would have been horrible.
- AmyVernon, on 11/01/2009, -1/+51Is it just me, or does the casting choice of Jodie Foster over Nicole Kidman seem kind of "who cares?" Now Murphy over Stallone? THAT was a good choice. I have to say, though, that Lance Henriksen would have been an interesting Terminator. In hindsight, Schwarzenegger was totally the right choice, but Henriksen would have been cool, in a totally different way.
- Darthmaul4114, on 11/01/2009, -1/+37how old is this page?
FTA: "And three (soon to be four) movies later, who can imagine Indy with a ‘stache?" - fragMasterFlash, on 11/01/2009, -1/+3211. Dustin Hoffman as Deckard in Blade Runner.
- fcruz1331, on 11/01/2009, -0/+29Will Smith as Neo in the Matrix
- fuzzytank, on 11/01/2009, -0/+28good thing he turned it down to make Wild Wild West
- Hu99, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2111. Mick Jagger as Dr. Frank N. Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jagger desperately wanted the role but Tim Curry owned it in the stage version.
- GusterBear, on 11/01/2009, -0/+17"You know the difference between you and me? I make this look good."
- joshsirjoshules, on 11/01/2009, -0/+17Paul Dano is a ridiculously talented actor. His performance in Little Miss Sunshine is really overlooked, who else could have gone nearly the whole movie without saying anything and let out that beautiful "FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!"
- Arramol, on 11/01/2009, -0/+13Orlando Bloom played Legolas, not Aragorn.
- KyotoWolf, on 11/01/2009, -1/+14let's just try to forget the fourth film
- Coolkidchris, on 11/01/2009, -1/+12To be honest, Tom Selleck probably would have been a good Indiana Jones.
- badqat, on 11/01/2009, -0/+9Me. It wouldn't have been the same movie, that's for sure. I do believe Nicole could have pulled it off, but it would have made a tremendous difference in everything. I like the movie as is. I think I'd like it with Nicole, too. I kinda digg Nicole, and have to wonder what the hell is wrong in Tom Cruise's mind. Major malfunctions, there are.
Indeed! I simply cannot imagine how bad the BHC movies would have sucked with Stallone in them. - Lykil, on 11/01/2009, -0/+8"Soon to be four [Indy films]"
Don't usually like complaining about old articles. Come to think of it, the world was a better place when there were only three Indiana Jones films. - Tubal22, on 11/01/2009, -0/+6Uhm... better run some malwarebytes. I got no popups.
- Hu99, on 11/01/2009, -0/+5What a mistake that would have been.
- Dervish108, on 11/01/2009, -0/+5Not a film, but Michael Richards as Adrian Monk.

"King of men my ass. This chump change was pissing me off left and right during the movie. "I'm afraid of the temptation.. I'm afraid... boo hoo, I'm a sissy boy, don't give me the ring, I might start wetting the bed again." What a pussy."

- coolaids, on 11/01/2009, -0/+4A more recent one I read about was for Ingloriouse Basterds. The character of the "bear jew" was originally going to be Adam Sandler. Yeah, try to think about how that would work for a minute.
- Kerath, on 11/01/2009, -0/+4Christopher Walken and Nick Nolte were considered for Han Solo. Nick Nolte also turned down Indiana Jones.
- EvanVolm, on 11/02/2009, -0/+4I think Selleck actually would've been a pretty good Jones. There's footage of him rehearsing on one of the new trilogy sets, and it wasn't bad at all.
- az2zej, on 11/01/2009, -0/+4nic cage as randy the ram in the wrestler
- FearlessFreep, on 11/01/2009, -1/+5How old is this article?
- markus6986, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3I was confused at first too, but three films later would be Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and then Crystal Skull. You don't count the first one.
Or maybe the article is ancient, I dunno. I guess its a little bit of a stretch then... I tried. - jase08, on 11/01/2009, -1/+4I really don't think Keanu Reeves was really that great as Neo even though his face has now become synonymous with that movie.
- prettychristy, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2Did you know that LL Cool J was originally considered for the part of Blade. Seriously.
- Hu99, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2Jagger was considered, but ultimately rejected. Is that good enough for your highness?
- Kvasaari, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2Who cares. Haven't seen it before.
- GusterBear, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2Never have Computer-to-Computer Intercourse without a rubber.
- inactive, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2A few of these don't really move the needle for me (do we really care who played the lead in Panic Room?) and, though I know this will get me a severe beating at the next Comic Con, I think Lance Henrickson would have made a very fine Terminator.
- Kvasaari, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2How hard can it be to click a button to see the next picture?
- DulcetTone, on 11/02/2009, -1/+3Panic Room? Really? Who cares, indeed.
- Jamiekin, on 11/01/2009, -0/+2David Fincher wasn't happy that Kidman had to drop out, and he said that having Foster in changed the whole dynamic of the movie (and not in a better way). He said that Foster's persona is already strong - she pulls off the mega-tough female character with such ease that audiences already know she can take those intruders on, whereas Kidman can play a much more vulnerable character which was needed for the movie. I would have thought Kidman would have been great for that movie.
Probaby what made Fincher even more unhappy was that Foster got pregnant during the movie, so they had to try to hide as much of her growing belly as they could, and reduce the amount of physical requirements from Foster. - bazzarr, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2ouch
- Lykil, on 11/01/2009, -0/+1The Raven King is the king of Faerie
- Bluucandi, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1I have to say he's makes a better cowboy (i.e. "The Sacketts", "Quigley Down Under") than an adventurous professor type.
- jase08, on 11/01/2009, -0/+1Robin Williams (instead of Charles Grodin) as Jon Mardukas in Midnight Run.
- ryrocker, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1how funny they mention panic room in this piece...
i was just thinking to myself, that at any given moment my room can be transformed into a panic room...
all i have to do is lock the door, pray the don't have a credit card. - Sparky9292, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Ewan McGregor was offered to play Neo first. His agent(s) turned it down, so then they offered it to Will Smith, but he turned it down
- clayh, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Can't believe John Travolta as Forrest Gump didn't make the list. I couldn't imagine that film without Hanks.
As a bonus, Dave Chappelle did screen tests for the role of Bubba - I'd pay good money to watch those. - Bluucandi, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Vigo Mortensen over Stuart Townsend for the role of Aragorn? Hell, yes! I'm a longtime Tolkien fan and Vigo was very well suited for the part.
- Bluucandi, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Considering her roles in "Taxi Driver" and "Silence of the Lambs", Foster was definitely a better choice.
- aronnyc, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1John Tarvolta was almost cast in As Good As It Gets and An Officer and a Gentleman.
- masterstghm, on 11/01/2009, -1/+1Navigating this website sucks. Why can't they list them all out instead of making me click next a bunch of times?
- david4041, on 11/02/2009, -1/+1
I read that OJ was considered for the role of The Terminator. - bazzarr, on 11/01/2009, -3/+3How about a list of ten things nobody gives a ***** about.
- Akairenn, on 11/01/2009, -4/+4Disclaimer: I earnestly wish nothing more for Peter Jackson than to be bound and carted off one night to Angband, there to remain for an eternity of torture at the hand of Melkor, who is Morgoth, Black Foe of the World.
Meh. I'm having a hard time coming up with anybody better to play the role of Aragorn. I'll even up the bet and say I can't think of anybody better to play the role of a non-Jacksonized Aragorn, either.
The man might not have had the best reading comprehension, but he knew how to cast. - iritegood, on 11/02/2009, -1/+1Angry much? Does insulting people on the internet get you laid? Maybe I've been trying the wrong things. Next time, I'll walk up to a girl and insult the nearest guy. That'll get me some, right?
