- WhoDoneIt, on 11/04/2009, -1/+12I wonder if Michael Bay will kill Freddie by blowing him up in this new movie?

Uh...huh.
Also, Freddy* - Barackalypse, on 11/04/2009, -0/+6Well, I guess if you can't come up with any good new ideas I guess you'll have to settle for retelling old ones.
- Akaziel, on 11/04/2009, -0/+6Just from the trailer though, I wonder if they'll make it too serious? I mean I know they're going for the horror factor, but Freddy was a wisecracking son of a bitch. He did nothing but talk ***** the entire series of films, and I really hope they keep that! I dunno the trailer didn't thrill me. It didn't piss me off, it just kinda got a resounding "meh".
- thegamingguy, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6I am pretty sure that he auditioned for the original movie and Johnny Depp rode with him and ended up getting his first acting job. Nice full circle story. I am curious to see if he can compare to Robert Englund.
- mtcantor, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5... brought to you by the Illinois council for tourism and economic development.
- diggnutty, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5I hope michael bay loaded this new film with plenty of sassy-talking black people, inane babbling, obnoxious closeups, inappropriately corny moments and loads of overall cringe-inducing douche chillyness
- MacHarborGuy, on 11/04/2009, -0/+410 pages? really? Somebody REALLY wants to make money on ad impressions
- DonAlfred, on 11/04/2009, -0/+4and all their remakes sucks. They should join the franchise instead and continue with their bad movie-making skills there, instead of destroying the originals.
- DangerousP, on 11/03/2009, -1/+4While Chicago is offering films a 30% tax credit to film there, LA is increasing its tax burden and ratcheting up the costs of everything related to the film industry. Can't understand why people are filming elsewhere.
- Zenkitten, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I have to say Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween wasn't THAT bad. I really liked his interpretation of Michael's origins.
- santiago1, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2 California is doing that to many industries. They can't figure out why the state can't make any money or hold any residents..... Silicon Valley has been pretty much a ghost town for several years.
- FriesandCoke, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Is it just me or does Kellan Lutz have a tiny head?
- Catalyst, on 11/04/2009, -1/+3One, Two, Freddy's coming for you
Three, Four, better lock your door
Five, Six, grab your crucifix
Seven, Eight, better stay awake
Nine, Ten, never sleep again...... - TeCuervo, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2An eighteen wheeler spins out of control and its all like BRAACSH! And this huge tanker full of giros goes CRASHHH BRASH WRHASHS
Those aren't ideas. Those are special effects. - dronkmunk, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Should have been called "3 or maybe 4 questions that were sorta interesting and then some other ones to round it out to 10"
- astrotrain, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2e..leven, twelve, this remakes doomed for hell....
- Raoulduke310, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2All remakes of classics are Poopy
- TeCuervo, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Really, When was the last time Michael Bay has ***** up?
- TeCuervo, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Actually is not as creepy when I read it.
- Zenkitten, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1@DonAlfred & @astrotrain Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Halloween (the original). It's one of my all time favorite horror movies.I'm not saying Rob Zombie's remake is the "OMG BEST MOVIE EVAR!!!!111!!1" All I said was is it wasn't "THAT bad". I've seen plenty of other remakes that were absolutely terrible, and I just don't think his take on Halloween was one of the worst.
I understand leaving some of the story up for imagination, and we all have our own ideas of how Michael got to where he is today. Rob Zombie just decided to put his idea out there in a movie to share with people and I liked his vision of it.
Geez, didn't need to get all crazy on me @DonAlfred :-/ - geoman2k, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I was psyched about this until i saw the trailer. it looks like a standard remake, which means it won't be able to touch the original.
i was pissed off when i saw the friday the 13th reboot and it was horse *****.
i propose a new law: whenever a studio decides to remake an old horror movie, they should be REQUIRED to have rob zombie direct it. and micheal bay shouldn't be allowed within 10 miles of the studio. - damnshoes, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1@DonAlfred
I think the reason remakes are so common because Hollywood funds them.
Someone who wants to make a new movie would require using money from their own personal account. - boozedrinker, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2Freddie is one of my top three movie franchises....I am praying that they don't ***** this up.
- Kronos6948, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2These were all remakes. They mean they don't do a sequel to someone else's movie. In that vein, they're right.
- Akaziel, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I don't necessarily want goofy Freddy like the later films, but he still talked a lot of ***** in the earlier ones. It was taunting and threatening, not bad puns. I'd like to see that, even if more brutal.
- geodebug, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1In the first film Freddy was more scary and less goofy. The movies got less scary and eventually, IMHO jumped the shark.
We've already seen goofy Freddy and we all love Englund's character but we have that already.
I hope they take the new series into a darker, more brutal area. - EvilDeadAsh, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1Robert Englund is over-rated as Freddy and someone needs to call the Waaaaaambulance for Wes Craven. I guarantee that i'll like the remake much more than the past 19 sequels of the series. Excluding the first and second Nightmare.
- yosafbridge, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Yes, sure, make Freddy more brutal...because lord knows we don't already have about a dozen serious, brutal serial killers in the movies.
Freddy's trash talk and jokes are what made him stand out from the herd in the originals...but nah, just throw all that out and make him just another personality-less killer. - Yage2006, on 11/04/2009, -0/+110 to many pages to click through.
/Buried - Raoulduke310, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1But the danger in these remakes is that for a lot of younger folks, they don't even know its a remake. Take the Taking of Pelham 123, kind of an obscure movie from the 1970s. Here comes the shlocky Travolta/Denzel remake, now 30 years from now you ask someone about Taking of Pelham 123, they say, "oh you mean that bomb that Travolta made...no thanks"
- astrotrain, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1The original "series" (well execpt for 3...) is a masterpiece... the song and image of "Mr. Sandmand" from ][ is forever etched in my mind...Yes they got a bit silly later on with 666, etc... but still a classic.
Sometimes you just need the "broken" story line of horror movies to leave the piecing together up to the viewers imagination. - astrotrain, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1""Robert Englund wasn't interested in doing the movie," Fuller said. "And Wes Craven (series creator) wasn't involved, so we felt we had to make it our own"...
Reviewing my elementry school mathmatic "word" problems, this tells me... they're gonna ***** it up.
The re-make of "The Amityville Horror" was awful, they really blew it out of proportion compared to the original version which stuck to the book and the actual story line.
The new one had this huge maze of prisons, and a hige room, etc under the house. There was none of that BS, talk about Hollywood really fluffing it up. Sooo many more issues with the "re-makes" when they try to "re-write" the story line.
Lets see...Leatherface, Michale, Jason and Freddy are all have been remade.. I guess its time for Chuky to get his re-make lime light. Or what the hell, lets do a remake of Dr. Phibes... and watch as Hollywood crushes and crumbles our beloved classic horror movies. - boozedrinker, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Transformers 2, *****.
- nofrickenway, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Occasionally, but I would usually remember the kids from #3 saying you control your dreams and kick his ass, or wake up.
- DonAlfred, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Stop remaking classic!
- DonAlfred, on 11/06/2009, -0/+0Sorry. But i just hate remakes. Nothing personal. And i think we do agree that the remake was bad, just not as bad as some other remakes, yes?
- riverstyx, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1"I'm your boyfriend now, Nancy!"
*tongue sticks out of phone* - nofrickenway, on 11/04/2009, -2/+1Why do rappers like Chicago.

Bury away, I deserve it. - DonAlfred, on 11/04/2009, -3/+1It was really ***** bad.
Halloween is a classic, one of the best in it's genre. Then this Rob douchebag comes and makes a complete ***** movie. Closing all the open spaces and trying to explain the whole movie. Oh thanks a lot, like i can't think anymore. It's degrading towards the viewer!
You don't go make a remake of Godfather or Rosemary's Baby. It's blasphemy.
Should show the original to the young kids instead of showing them "motion-pictured *****", like the remade Halloween or all these disgusting saw movies. They're not about movie-making. They're about making as much money and be as disgusting as possible. I guess this is what "movie-making" has come to these days. Sad. - DonAlfred, on 11/04/2009, -2/+0"wuhuuuuu, I'm here to finger you. HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA"
- searcade, on 11/04/2009, -5/+1saw freddie in my dream when i was 3 or 4 and i still remember... the thing is i never watched the film then i just used to hear about it from my uncle and its still scary...
did anyone else see freddie in there dreams?
