- Dagarik, on 03/01/2009, -1/+18Good to see Bathurst is included in there.
- unitqm, on 03/01/2009, -1/+10Is it sad that I recognize all of these from video games?
- ElTomacco, on 03/01/2009, -3/+12nurburgring comes in fifth?
- SpookyBoots, on 03/01/2009, -1/+9Dugg for Laguna!
hookedondriving.com - AaronRoss, on 03/01/2009, -0/+8Monaco is badass
- inactive, on 03/01/2009, -1/+8Mosport and not Montreal makes a sad panda.
mind you i would love to see an F1 race at Mosport. - JakeBC, on 03/01/2009, -0/+7I would love to see F1 race on some of these tracks again. New tracks are boring.
- sinurgy, on 03/01/2009, -0/+7Here is that google earth pic of the nascar track some of you have been wanting to see (sorry only have it in black and white):
0 - howdareyou, on 03/01/2009, -1/+7Jalopnik thanks for the incredibly horrible thumbnail gallery! Would it have killed you to link to google maps instead?
- Dinsdale77, on 03/01/2009, -2/+8Nuremberg ring in a van!
- TheAutoInsider, on 05/22/2009, -1/+7You've gotta be kidding...haha ha h...right?!
- flyingpj, on 03/01/2009, -1/+7Dugg for Spa-Francorchamps
- jfts09, on 03/01/2009, -1/+6Dugg for Isle of Man being the most psychotic race in the world
- cambob76, on 03/01/2009, -4/+9I can drive in a big circle weeeeeeeee!!!!
- TheAutoInsider, on 05/22/2009, -1/+5So this is what the crew of the I.S.S. looks for.
- TheAutoInsider, on 05/22/2009, -0/+4Likely because it's the go to favorite.
- sumokitty, on 03/01/2009, -1/+5nurburgring whould be #1 by far. no other track has the prestige that Nurburgring does
- Mankind121, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3I thought it was pretty awesome to see Laguna Seca too
- 4LeggedtriPod, on 03/01/2009, -8/+11No Indy?
- Trendy2, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3RoadAmerica in there, alright!
- jeffness, on 03/01/2009, -3/+6it was a joke but guessing from the negative diggs i guess the sarcasm didn't come through as obvious as i had hoped.
- radix2, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3Unfortunately JakeBC, some of these circuits are just too dangerous for the mid-corner speeds of F1 racing.
- Virgule, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3Nope. It's alright :P
- fotbr, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3No, this was about places they do real racing.
- MaxterICC, on 03/01/2009, -2/+5watkins glen should have been included
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axEjzA4Tous - quikbmwkid, on 03/01/2009, -1/+3nurburgring isn't number 1? gtfo
- TheAutoInsider, on 05/22/2009, -4/+6Indy sort of lost its shine after the USGP left. Who actually watches open wheeled oval racing anymore?
- fotbr, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2So go to maps.google.com and type them in.
- akchrs, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2Moto GP?
- zmigliozzi, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2/cheer for laguna seca and monaco, no bahrain though :(
- slicecom, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2Mosport is better than the temporary Montreal circuit. It's one of the few courses not ruined by the addition of chicanes over the years. I've been to both many times. :)
- josiemiller7, on 03/02/2009, -0/+1no slotcar?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8-gly1ZBqI - daridave, on 03/02/2009, -0/+1Well, the bad road conditions notwithstanding, the Gilles Villeneuve circuit is actually one of the pilots' favorite. It's very hard on the breaking, and it requires a lot of driving intelligence to win. It really should be in that list...
- slicecom, on 03/01/2009, -1/+2Dugg because all my favorite tracks are on it. I expected to be disappointed by the picks, but I was pleasently surprised. Personally my top 3 favorite tracks are:
1) Suzuka
2) Spa
3) Mosport - friday1970, on 03/01/2009, -6/+6Actually, I think Daytona should be there, being the center of Nascar, and hosting one of the best 24hour endurance races in the world (2nd only to LeMans, IMHO).
I don't think Road America should be in the list. It's a great track, but doesn't have the prestige of either Indy, or Daytona. Sazuka is a another great, fast track. But not one of the best 15 in the world.
And the 'Ring should have been either first or second. It is one of the greatest tracks in the world, far better than Bathurst. - microview2007, on 03/01/2009, -1/+1I agree. The article was lame with all those ads and thumb nails that link to a static pic. Wasn't even any info about each of the tracks. I think if he had taken more then 20 minutes to create the page it would be a lot better in content.
- crabber1967, on 06/18/2009, -0/+0Click on the thumbnails, and you can see the photo(s) in full size, and can look through them all!
- AaronRoss, on 03/01/2009, -1/+1thought the same thing, from gran tourismo
- zmigliozzi, on 03/01/2009, -1/+1NASCAR man! Wooo get me a budweiser!
- jeffness, on 03/01/2009, -13/+12what, no ovals? you're kidding me! nascar has the best and most interesting racetracks!
- klui, on 03/01/2009, -3/+2Although I am not a fan of ovals nor Nascar, it would have been appropriate to include Indianapolis. It is probably as well known as a course like Monaco. But I'm happy it was not all F1 courses.
- uremomsnitemare, on 03/01/2009, -3/+1i kinda actually would like to see daytona and indy and those kind of tracks in google maps
- akchrs, on 03/01/2009, -3/+1No Dragon or Tantalus. sucky list.
- chip626266, on 03/01/2009, -4/+1No NASCAR?
- jfts09, on 03/01/2009, -6/+2I think concrete walls are a little bit more dangerous than trees
