- mrferg, on 12/01/2007, -1/+19505hp on the water is not too impressive, nowhere as much as on land.
- D3koy, on 12/01/2007, -2/+11Honda makes 250hp engines...you can throw 3 on the back of a boat...
- svartgotik, on 12/01/2007, -2/+10For what is in it and what they want for it, you think it could look a little sportier and not like a souped-up fishing boat?
- that1jewishguy, on 12/01/2007, -4/+11That's pretty badass and with the LS7 engine... I'm not a domestic car type of guy but thats a badass boat
- D3koy, on 12/01/2007, -0/+5100 or so is enough for fun on the water if your boat is under about 20 feet
- Puppetfunk, on 12/01/2007, -2/+6Algorithm. 'Nuff said.
- JK1150, on 12/01/2007, -3/+7He's driving on the wrong side
- iVision, on 12/01/2007, -0/+4I'd rather have that boat with the dual viper engines down in Florida.
- CaviMike, on 12/01/2007, -0/+3I was hoping for a lot more.
- spyd3rweb, on 12/01/2007, -3/+6No that'd be a hemi orange dodge charger.
- kevinmoore, on 06/13/2009, -0/+3Because most people aren't nerds that would associate the names with computer error messages.
- stou, on 12/01/2007, -2/+5tacky looking
- evanmancini, on 12/01/2007, -0/+3lol, how much
- minimalism, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2Because I need a car, not a boat
- kevinmoore, on 06/13/2009, -0/+2Corvettes are mid-$50K. Why did you pick $80K? You might as well say that $250K will get you a better car.
- andrew522, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2I'll stick with my Bayliner Ciera, thank you. It sleeps 6 on 3 beds, has a shower, mini-kitchen, and kickass stereo.
but its in storage now... - trev0006, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2The rear of the boat doesn't look too good but the front is awesome. http://www.discountpartcenter.com/
- bradym80, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2This is nothing new. Tons of boats have v8 engines
- HappyScrappy, on 12/02/2007, -0/+2I'm a big LS7 fan, but I don't think I'd want one in a boat. No need for a high-revving hand-built dry-sumped motor in a marine application. Just put in an LS2 and add a blower if you need more HP.
- Ultramagnus0001, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2When I win that ther lottery, Gon go get me one a dem 505 hp Vettes with a 505 hp boat to haul to the lake and catch me some bass. Yeeee Haaaaaa...Sweeet doggie
- VertigoOne, on 12/01/2007, -1/+3A little insecure perhaps? Don't let them get to you so much. :P
- SeventhSon, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2I'd rather have Bill Nye's car/boat.
- TheCasablancan, on 12/01/2007, -1/+3I'll give you multiple choice. A particular style of denim cut off "short shorts" were named after a character in what famous television show?
A) Jimmy's from Lois and Clark
B) Secrets from Secret Squirrel
C) Earl Greys from Star Trek TNG
D) Daisy Dukes from Dukes of Hazzard - trev0006, on 02/15/2008, -0/+2Now all they have to do is to make a boat with the 600+ horsepower engine currently in the Corvette ZR1. http://www.dpccars.com/
- nailbunny, on 12/02/2007, -0/+2What a piece of *****. Nothing funnier than a boat that's so ridiculously overpowered that it takes a hundred bucks' worth of gas just to get it in and out of the marina.
- SaxmanTrav, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1Vettes cost $50k because that's the only way that anyone will buy them: they cost less than the proper sports coupés of today.
- FireStrife, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1because while the Corvette Z06 is fast its also MUCH more comfortable than the Viper.
- tcasey22, on 12/01/2007, -3/+4Hasn't this already been done in that 80's movie "One Crazy Summer"?
- Ultramagnus0001, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1My VW with the VR6 engine and the turbo will eat your Honda for a snack while sounding like a real car and not a fart.
- Puppetfunk, on 12/01/2007, -2/+3There aren't paths on the water so the steering wheel can be where ever.
- chris8535, on 12/01/2007, -1/+2I've never liked Corvettes. Not so much because of the car, but because of the guys that buy them.
I mean for 80k, you can get a car with just as much power, and a lot better taste.
And in boat form, this merely emphasized that point. - vraicovi, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1It was done with a Ferrari. Great flick!
- Darkgh0st, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1I call *****. Name any stock 505HP car for 80k..
- tcasey22, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1Damn, thanks for correcting that!
- DTJunkie07, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1Your just jealous and you don't know it.
- SaxmanTrav, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG - 500 and 507 hp, respectively.
Yes, OK, they do cost a little bit over $80k US, but it's close enough. - senfo, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Not that I'm arguing with you or anything because you're certainly right, for the most part, but that boat is a little bigger than my 2004 Honda Aquatrax (jetski) with about 3 times the power. I'm sure it's more than enough to get a lot of people in trouble.
- NismoZ32, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1About 10 years ago at the Barret-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale there was a boat powered by a Ferrari V-12. It's a cool idea though for car enthusiast.
- cambob76, on 12/01/2007, -3/+3Buried, article says "below the jump". I hate you.
- lawrra, on 12/01/2007, -2/+21 Because Chrysler vehicles have issues.
2 They have to use a V10 to put out that much power.
3 They cost considerably more than a Corvette.
4 Corvettes have been in production much longer.
5 A Corvette can put out 600HP with some bolt ons and a few tweaks of the PCM.
6 The 2009 Corvette ZR1 will put out out 650HP stock from a 6.2L SC V8...Vettes are better - mal1964, on 12/01/2007, -3/+3I cant drive 55!
- maxlightz, on 01/27/2008, -0/+0fuerte knows his stuff
- HanSolo69, on 12/01/2007, -5/+5Wow that looks hideous.
- lolo2007, on 03/01/2008, -1/+1I've never liked Corvettes. Not so much because of the car, but because of the guys that buy them.

- Anand999, on 12/02/2007, -2/+1What about "sure it's fast in a straight line but it handles like a boat"?
