Thinking about buying a Ford truck? Read this first.

toolmonger.com — When the heater core failed on my F150, I figured it'd be an easy job just it has been with past cars. Nope! Replacing the 'core requires removing the entire dash and HVAC ventilation system. Twelve hours in and I'm still working. You've got to see the picture I posted to believe how jacked up this is.

    There are lots of cars of all brands, that have to have the dash removed to replace the heater core.

    I recall replacing a heater core in a '73 Pontiac. It took about 15 minutes.
