- int2str, on 10/10/2008, -1/+28Spectacular pictures!
- gutterboy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+22Boston.com's photos are outstanding. I loved the Singapore GP ones.
- Catchpen, on 10/10/2008, -0/+21MotoGP blows NASCRAP out of the water. Tie a tennis ball to a string, twirl it and viola' you have NASCRAP
Pic #7 Colin Edwards' in the zone! - sailadayaway, on 10/10/2008, -0/+10And it's not a photoset of the umbrella girls!
I was a little disappointed about that, to be honest... - inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+10Dreaming of having a ride in MotoGP.
- uptwolait, on 10/10/2008, -0/+9The pic of Hayden and Rossi will be on computer desktops all over the world. I know for a fact it's on at least one now.
- aflaks, on 10/10/2008, -0/+8you have no idea what i would trade to be able to race like these guys
- BelatedHero, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7Love that Yamaha YZR-M1.
- Calder0n, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6What happened to the seagull?! Did it explode? :(
- bluebovine, on 10/11/2008, -0/+5Amazing pictures of the greatest motor sport on earth!!!
Hayden + Ducati = Greatness! - kolyana, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4Great picutres - hi-res, all on one page! Great sport, too (as a woman having a mid-life crisis with a 'crotch-rocket of her own!)
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4So actually go to a MotoGP race in the States and SUPPORT the sport!!!!! The reason NASCAR is so succesful is that the fans support the sport and its sponsrs. Did you see the crowds at Laguna and Indy GP races? Pitiful. Why do the riders complain about the safety of US MOTO-GP races? Our tracks are crap. NASCAR continues to be the biggest moto-sport draw in the States. That's why all the money, technology, safety gear, and new tracks are going exclusively to NASCAR events.
Sorry for stating the true facts.
No fan support, no races. - metalgel, on 10/10/2008, -2/+6trackdays, because golf is for *****
- Duke999R, on 10/11/2008, -0/+4There are three classes in GP motorcycle racing. 125cc, 250cc and 800cc. These represent the engine capacity. 125cc and 250cc are two stroke. 800cc are four stroke. All require a different style of riding.
Stoner & Ducati 2009...FTW! - spritom, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4An Instamatic 25 with 126 film...I'm sure of it!
- dipdog21, on 10/10/2008, -1/+5Those racers have got to have reflexes that rival COD4 players!
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4lol AMA...
- morcheeba, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4It's more the lens and the skill of the operator (getting in the right position for a photo, editing out the 99.99% of bad pics) that makes the difference. And lots of luck.
- ialwayswin7, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3can there be a "before/after" of that seagull one?
- Jforsyth89, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3My favorite picture is #3. It really is amazing how extreme their angle is when they go around turns.
Their heads are so close to the ground. Unlike being in a car, they must really feel their own speed. - quiksilver846, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Man I'd give my right nut to be able to race with these guys. Absolutely amazing.
- buffalodan, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Make that 2
- scoottie, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3I just want to know what camera was used for those pictures
- scoottie, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3well of course but you can have all skill you want but you wont get near those pics with a disposable camera
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3rossi is my idol.. :)
http://digg.com/world_news/Gun_Auction_What_You_Ne ... - idlebyte, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Number 19 on the list is awesome. The high resolution of the photograph lets you see it's eyes clearly for that wtf in 3..2..1.. moment.
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3WHAT? ***** YOU.
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -1/+4what about F1 and rally drivers?
- jbhopper, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3The 250cc and 125cc bikes are 2 strokes, so more powerful than a 4 stroke equivalent. The MotoGP class is a 4-stroke 800cc motorcycle that puts out over 225hp (most 1000cc street bikes only put out 160-180, tops) and weigh 320lbs, 80 or more less than a street bike.
- Victorface, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3Most likely a Canon. I've never seen anything else at sporting events.
- Brentg7, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2we can only hope.
- branndon, on 10/10/2008, -4/+6Great pictures! Did any of those riders get seriously hurt? I know that seagull did!
- Brentg7, on 10/10/2008, -0/+26th at indy wasn't bad for not knowing track/bike. At least he is trying to get a ride. Mladin should have tried long ago.
- branndon, on 10/10/2008, -2/+4Why in the world would someone digg me down for that comment?
Oh yeah, this is digg - forestballa, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2amazing pictures. Amazing how a good camera can freeze time, making something that is going incredibly fast look like it is standing still.
- carterx, on 10/10/2008, -4/+6Go Rossi .... World Champ 2008
- Handonam, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2I just wish it was a little bit bigger to put on my desktop monitor. Such a great shot!
Currently i have a collage of Randy De Puniet's crashes - hmalik, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Thanks for much needed new wallpaper for my screen!
- hwy9nightkid, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Mladin would suck in MotoGP
- aimhelix, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Excellent pictures! Thank you for not scaling them down. Really makes them shine - especially the perfectly panned shots. I love motoGP!
- M0pper, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2I also think they're a bit too small for a desktop pic. However, I found some nice pics here: http://www.roadracerx.com/category.php?cat=7
Some of them are a bit older and watermarked, but who cares? - morcheeba, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Yep. I should have been more specific - any SLR could have taken those pictures, analog or digital. Of course, some cameras will make it easier for you -- digital lets you take more shots, and a good focusing system will make sharper pictures.
- lennybird, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2The Georgian conflict ones was pretty intense. I love Boston.com submits.
- Naomarik, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2These pics make me want to go ride right now.
- Indydad, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2Great Pics! Can't wait til' the MotoGP comes back to Indy next summer.
- Handonam, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2"Elbows" did have some wildcard appearances in MotoGP though (Suzuki). I would have to say he did pretty well.
- hwy9nightkid, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2ziiiiiiiiiiing, true..
Spies wanted WAY too much money. oh well, WSBK will have em - inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2I don't know anything about motorcycles. So, when it says 250cc, is it the same as saying 600cc, 900cc, 1200cc? If so, why is the cc number so low?
- poogy21, on 10/10/2008, -1/+2Get out of the way, Bird!!!
