- grngolet, on 09/29/2008, -0/+35It's good to see some MotoGP news making the front page
- Velicos, on 09/29/2008, -0/+19MotoGP news on the front page of Digg!?
There's nothing better than watching Rossi wear down his opponents throughout the race. Maybe MotoGP is catching on in the states? Nice... - amadeusdemarzi, on 09/29/2008, -0/+17Go Rossi Go!
Perhaps one of the greatest riders yet! His performance at Laguna Seca was spectacular, not to mention some brilliant consistency lately!
(I am sad that there aren't many MotoGP articles that make it to the front page these days :( ) - LuckyASN, on 09/29/2008, -0/+15First things first: MotoGP = best damn motorsports in teh world!!
Second: Kudos to Rossi! - Orbity, on 09/28/2008, -0/+11Well done Valentino.
- BelatedHero, on 09/28/2008, -2/+13Rossi is the man. But maybe Nicky will be able to challenge him next year in a Ducati.
- Thumprr, on 09/29/2008, -0/+11Fantastic to see MotoGP news on digg. Cheers to Rossi (and I'm still waiting for Pedrosa to crack a smile).
- drstock, on 09/29/2008, -0/+8The doctor delivers!
- anshuman, on 09/29/2008, -0/+7Best part is , He did it with Yamaha :) years ago everyone wrote Yamaha out :D
Rossi is da best. - FarSide792, on 09/29/2008, -0/+6What a tank.....I really enjoyed going to the Laguna Seca and Indi race this year :) well worth the trip(s)
- shrugs, on 09/29/2008, -0/+6MotoGP is just like Formula1-- except rather than manufacturer domination, it's racer competition...
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+6there isn't a more overrated rider than hayden in the motogp paddock. you'll be lucky to see top 5 finishes over the next 2 season from nicky. pffft
- TBolt, on 09/29/2008, -0/+5Bravo Vale!!!
- Handonam, on 09/29/2008, -0/+5uh, you're garbage..
Rossi>you - Arkanoid22, on 09/29/2008, -0/+5He's not even 30 yet. Kid's a machine.
- ExSlashdotter, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4He's only 29 and he's still kicking ass. I mean, he's still 11 years younger than Duhammel...
- ktickner6767, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4Moto GP is the two wheeled equivalent to Formula One racing (cars)! In my humble opinion, Moto GP is the most exciting and fantastic sport in the world. I club race motorcycles myself so, I may be prejudice. ;)
http://www.introtomotorcycleroadracing.blogspot.co ... - one1082, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4Why retire when you're still as sharp as he is?
- CrushThemTorg, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4MotoGP? On MY Digg?!
- tomy265, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4the laguna seca was the best performance yet. his pass over stoner on the cockscrew!
- Dmtalon, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3Congrats to Rossi, and what a great surprise to see this on Digg!!
- Teknikscian, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3on digg no less. good one! Cant wait for some more MotoGP action next season...wish they covered it better over here in the states..
- kmlove, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3I work at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and for those of you who didn't watch or hear of the conditions during the Red Bull GP at Indy, they were the worst conditions that place has ever seen, and he handled it like a champ. He only increased his lap times when the rain increased and the wind reached more then 60MPH. He truly deserves to be the champ.
- davedekker, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3The guy is not Human... amazing rider, and team.... lets clone Jeremy Burgess... good luck to Nicky next season... and F%#k the DMG, they will wreck racing in the USA like GLRRA did in the midwest
- kalkin, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2i like nicky but he's got to be the slowest world champion rider out there. he only wont it through good fortune and he's never impressed me during a race. saying that he does seem to find his way to the front at the US races but is usually not at the front at the end of the race.
- amadeusdemarzi, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2He has 2 more years with Yamaha, is still dominating, why should he retire?
I smell a Stoner fan :P - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Congrats to Rossi! I love watching him race... I even have a Rossi replica motorcycle http://www.danddexhaust.com/img/owner/chrismena.jp ... , but I can't wait for Jorge Lorenzo to take it next year...
- quaunaut, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Honestly, I've been cheering for Stoner. But Rossi did earn it this year, I'll give him that.
- drstock, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2I was standing right there, that maneuver scared the ***** out of me!
- caferace, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Scusate il ritardo
It doesn't think what you think it means. :) - kalkin, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2yup do remember his first race with yamaha? everyone was expecting him to be in the mid-field or on the podium at best but he won. and what a race it was.
it's refreshing to see a form of motorsport where the human can make a difference over the machine. - DiggItalia, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Grande VALE!
(what's happening? MotoGP on Digg? awesome!)
and btw, this is his 8th world title.
Six world titles in MotoGP, one in 250cc and one for the 125cc at the age of 17. - LuckyASN, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Ducati's been kicking ass with the rule change from 990cc to 800cc. Hopefully they'll give Nicky the edge he needs to get a better season. That and to STOP BREAKING YOUR HEEL!!
- crazymonkey, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1It'd be better if there were more than 15 - 16 riders on the grid at once.
Lap traffic is exciting... - Napiertt, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1Why the digg downs? It means Greatest Of All Time. Absolutely correct IMO
- kalkin, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1agreed. i've saved that race on my sky+ box. one for the archives. how many times did the leaders change positions? 6 or 7 times before stoner dropped it? fantastic race
- alex1015, on 09/29/2008, -1/+2Forza La Doctor!
- FarSide792, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1The Indy trip was eh.....coulda done without the rain AND the WIND lol
- drstock, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1I would say those doubts were wiped away when he won the championship on a Yamaha in -04, and defiantly when he became champion again the next year on a Yamaha.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1NO WAY! You went to both of them.. I'm jealous... I made the trip for Laguna Seca but was too broke for Indy.. good for you.
- bnuk013, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1yeah except I didn't watch the race yet...
The doctor is in. - LeekMibles, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1If I was gay I'd wanna marry that dude. Rossi is the man. Go!!!!!!!
- kalkin, on 09/29/2008, -1/+2are you so bored that you have to leave comments on subjects you aren't even interested in?
thanks for your contribution to the world - late8, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Yeah but the Yamaha is now a top machine- Its performance, agility in corners and breaking is second to none- true it lacks a little squirt compared to Ducati and the improved Honda, but sometimes that's not what you always need.
oh and he moved to Bridgestone ! - dreesemonkey, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1MotoGP is hardly place-how-you-qualify like F1, which is why it's exciting to watch.
Last year Rossi didn't have a great year, it wasn't the rider. Hard to win races when the Duc was so much faster than everyone else, not to mention the michelins were sub-par. So I would argue that it's not just the rider. - downneck, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1VVLF!
GO!!!!! - HRF1, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1Watched Rossi win the Championship at Motegi. His performance after the victory was awesome but ridiculously time consuming...
- Aceman196, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Nicky is good. He won a championship. It's just Honda designed that bike for D.P.
- Duke999R, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1The man can ride. I'm a Stoner fan, but all props to Vale.
I'm off to Phillip Island Friday. It's gonna be killer! Stoner FTW! -
