Where in Long Beach did they hold that event? - JonTheGoose, on 11/27/2008, -3/+13I respectfully disagree. Look at Japanese drifting. It's difficult to do what they do and requires an incredible amount of coordination and reflexes. On top of that, the engines need to be tuned and the cars need to be balanced to get the weight and center of gravity in the right spot. How is that any different from any other motor sport that demands the same from its drivers and technicians?
- beerwench, on 11/27/2008, -1/+8this is so much easier to watch on the intertubez than try to do in your own car :)
- jseres, on 11/28/2008, -0/+4So much hate. If you don't like it go watch Nascar you country *****.
- thellamafarm, on 11/27/2008, -1/+5^^ are you ***** me, drifting is hella fun to watch. Nascar is boring to watch
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -9/+12Awful.
- glenSM, on 11/27/2008, -3/+6beats nascar I guess, they can turn right!
- GeorgeStone2, on 11/27/2008, -10/+13Drifting has to be the most pathetic motorsport there is.
- paker, on 11/28/2008, -0/+2Wow, lots of time spent in the tire store.
- strangewill, on 11/28/2008, -0/+2I liked the part where they drifted.
- soogy, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2And yet ricer kids worldwide have already jumped out the door, ran into their Honda Civics and started drifting out of their driveways. Presumably to race against Mustangs on the highway, of course.
- JonTheGoose, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2what the ***** is this *****.
- thellamafarm, on 11/27/2008, -1/+3It started in the 90's i think, drifting takes alot of skill to do, it also take alot of practice and time, plus you have to tune you car to fit the track's means.
- cyrix, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1People never seem to understand that though. They think that driving in a circle making on left turns takes more talent than drifting. Granted the drifting they've shown on ESPN isn't that exciting (i mean let's be honest it was damn boring) but there are drift events with insane tracks that are pretty damn long and require immense talent. I wish the US got to see THAT kind of drifting. Then maybe people wouldn't pass over it so easily. In my honest opinion I'd probably rank racing somewhere along the lines of F1, Rally, Drifting, Indy, Nascar ....etc....etc....etc... To me indy is just barely above nascar....pretty much the same idea, just faster cars. I know this comments going to piss off quite a few people. Can't wait....
- InsaneWookie, on 11/27/2008, -1/+2It's better on Need 4 Speed
- nshop2, on 02/24/2009, -0/+0Nice review... I liked it.

- SteaminTmann, on 11/27/2008, -1/+1Noone wants to see that website, asshat
- Samohtneas, on 11/27/2008, -2/+2Drifting was around long before Fast And The Furious came with its Koni Adjustables and more-then-you-can-afford-pal crap. Don't be upset just because you have trouble cornering on a standard figure-8 track.

- orangester, on 11/27/2008, -1/+1I'm not doubting it wasn't around long before that god awful movie, but since the movie, the sport has been completely bastardized (for the lack of a better word). I'd much rather watch WRC than Formula D now. And what does my cornering have to do with anything? Just because I like the old Mustangs you assume that they would be my choice to drive? I'd much rather drive a RUF, BMW, or Audi on the track.
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -5/+4Drifting, fun to do, boring as hell to watch.
- WhoDoneIt, on 11/27/2008, -6/+5Yawn. Wake me up when drifting is an actual motorsport worth watching.

- orangester, on 11/27/2008, -4/+2The Tokyo Drift fad is over, can we let this "motorsport" fall into obscurity already? Regardless, dugg for the Foxbody 5.0.
- TheHEARSEDRIVER, on 11/27/2008, -2/+0It looks like Terminal Island. It's pretty near the Terminal Island draw bridge.
I live in LB and never heard ANYTHING about it going on! - CrushThemTorg, on 11/27/2008, -3/+1I admire the skill and reflexes it takes to drift properly, but I still think it's incredibly stupid.
- memper, on 11/28/2008, -2/+0St Peter: So what did you do with your life?
Drifter guy: I learned to be the best rear drive import drifter guy eva. I looked so cool. It was extreme and stuff.

- PFCWilliams, on 11/27/2008, -10/+2"Bitchen" ???? Is this the 80's?
Are you ***** serious? And you got 6 diggs for saying that? No way that's legitamate, you logged into 6 different accounts and dugg you're own comment.
And drifting is for children, grow up.
