- dcramps, on 05/28/2009, -0/+89I cannot stand the narration in these videos.
- rupertd, on 05/28/2009, -5/+58can't really have sympathy, endangering himself, not to mention everyone else on the road.
- SonicPanda, on 05/28/2009, -2/+38Yeah, street racers are complete *****.
- dvsbastard, on 05/28/2009, -1/+27Just out of interest, what makes people think these were street racers?
It was broad daylight, and the first two riders do not appear to be going faster than the flow of traffic! I'd be inclined to think this was just an over excited rider who severely misjudged the corner... Although calling them street racers is certainly more dramatic! - Pinkertinkle, on 05/28/2009, -1/+25Darwin almost got him.
- Jeepinator, on 05/28/2009, -0/+24I like how the narrator says that the biker panicked because of the white van. The biker actually would have fit perfectly between the two cars. He was just going too fast and the bike slipped out from under him. Happens all the time in real bike racing. ***** these stupid illogical and inaccurate narrations.
- idolwalrus, on 05/28/2009, -0/+21Whoa! That dude got run over by a car... if you catch my drift.
- n0friends, on 05/28/2009, -3/+20he didn't panic from the fat van. he just lost the front wheel. He was at full lean, tires can only go so far, its up to the road and the rider from then on. Sometimes its just too dangerous. Same thing happened to me last year on a road here in Texas, except no oncoming cars. people underestimate tires way too much.
- TheBigBad, on 05/28/2009, -0/+16probably because he had someone deliberately filming him.
- BugMeNot2, on 05/28/2009, -0/+9That wasn't that crazy.
- REV0R, on 05/28/2009, -1/+11Buried for sensationalist garbage. First of all, the way over-hyped title. B, "Russian roulette"? Watch the clip of the bike before the guy that crashes, the on ramp has it's own lane, you don't even need to merge. How is that even dangerous? Ok, so the guy was going a bit too fast for his comfort zone, or hit the brakes maybe causing him to lose traction, but it really doesn't look like street racing. It looks like a guy who botched a simple thing and suddenly everyone wants him to get backed over on the freeway.
- seventhc, on 05/28/2009, -0/+9Nebraska?
- flutezilla, on 05/28/2009, -1/+9unless its the guy from Maximum Exposure
- cyrix, on 05/28/2009, -0/+8No, ***** you. You cannot "haz" sympathy.
- jawni, on 05/28/2009, -0/+7We underestimate tires? I don't know about everyone else but I think my estimation is pretty accurate.
- flaminglips, on 05/28/2009, -1/+8"Fortunately, he'll survive."
In what kind of state? - mqmartin369, on 05/28/2009, -1/+8he didn't, he was rolling around
- Jeepinator, on 05/28/2009, -1/+8What do his tire pressures have to do with anything? Your comment makes no sense unless you switch out underestimate for overestimate. Underestimating a tire's ability would not lead to a crash such as this. Overestimating a tire's ability would lead to this.
- SystemicThought, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6My brother wound up in the hospital after a motorcycle accident, and he wasn't riding irresponsibly (though he was wearing shorts and a tee-shirt). Watching this makes me feel sick to my stomach. Motorcycle accidents are no joke.
Also, in a typo, I think I just invented the coolest weapon ever: The mortarcycle. - GregLoire, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6It is indeed possible to ride a motorcycle without trying to pull stunts like this.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -2/+8dumbass.
- robbob, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6one of the lamest freeway onramp accidents ever
- uptwolait, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6and when they dub in fake accident sounds.
- ifruit, on 05/28/2009, -1/+6Yea, there was just a guy filimg that corner because he was bored that day.
- TheBigBad, on 05/28/2009, -3/+8I like it when idiots do stupid things and wreck their fancy toys.
- Entroper, on 05/28/2009, -1/+6He actually did. If there had been a car in the passing lane next to the Golf, the Golf would probably have swerved into it.
- shaelen, on 05/28/2009, -0/+5I'm not sure how you gathered that. The video pretty much ends with the guy moving around.. You can't see the car, how do you know it didn't stop outside of the video?
- lukas88, on 05/28/2009, -7/+11I'm too much of a sissy to watch these but I like to read the comments.
- bencefeher, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4Hey man, don't knock Star Wars pj's ok?
- goteki45, on 05/28/2009, -2/+6What a ***** idiot
- floridiot2, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4I think the driver of the motorcycle was just a little tired
- shaelen, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4What.. You've never seen small groups of people randomly hanging out at onramps with video cameras watching and waiting for someone to crash? =)
- teknomaker18, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4Good footage but the sound effects are atrocious. They need to keep this stuff organic rather than milk it for what it's worth. Listen to the Blues Brothers squealing sound effect. And the lightning quick honking! WTF no one honks like that after hitting someone!!! I don't think the biker panicked when he saw the van, he just lost control at the worst possible time.
- mparker21311, on 05/28/2009, -0/+3That car was like OM NOM NOM
- OneManArmy, on 05/28/2009, -0/+3and the over dramatic music!
- themastersb, on 05/28/2009, -0/+3I can't stand the added sound effects.
- fattehboi, on 05/28/2009, -0/+3Guess he wasn't catching a brake
- JasonZX12R, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2I would second that, not a terribly hard lean and it was a banked corner too.
- Paralys, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Well, i figure the bits of him stuck to the tires will survive in whatever state the car that hit him stops in.
- shaelen, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Paralys, if you watch the video again you will see they were taping a full 7 seconds before the bike is laid down. The person taping it was following him from WAY back before the road even curved.
Yeah, I'm sure it's random. - thefreshjive, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Low sides in most amateur cases are usually the result of the loss of traction of the front tires. He could have possibly squeezed the front brakes a tad bit too hard.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2You're an *****, had it been a semi, his organs would be useless, haven't you thought about that?
- dlequyer, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2your family would kill you if you died?
how? - SoCalDissident, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2That's not full lean. Not even close. That's poor brake/throttle control putting too much weight on the front or he hit something slick
- feliks2, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2If you actually watch it, the car hits the guy first, as he seemed to be about a meter in front of his bike (from the car's point of view) upon impact.
- JasonZX12R, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1Strangely enough I have been riding daily for 12 yrs and dont own a car. I outlived my family.
- SoCalDissident, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1You never lose the front from too much gas. If you don't believe that, watch the pros wheelie out of a corner while still leaned over.
- EricAnderton, on 05/30/2009, -0/+1I would wager it was oil on the pavement. It was right at the spot where novice drivers like to jam their brakes, or even stop, if they're too timid to merge.
- EricAnderton, on 05/30/2009, -0/+1"I think I just invented the coolest weapon ever: The mortarcycle."
What, like this?
http://www.longstoryshortpier.com/2007/01/08/mle-5 ... - SEN5241, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1Was it just me or did that car appear to speed up when the motorcyclist was spilling in front of him?
