- koltregaskes, on 11/02/2008, -2/+117The last race the last last the last corner and Hamilton wins the championship - what an ending!!!!!
- nibkey, on 11/02/2008, -1/+59Pretty pedestrian up until the last 15 mins, then you couldn't make it up. Unbelievable but fantastic. Congratulations to Lewis, your country is very proud. Comeriserations to Massa however, World Champion for 10 seconds and how awful to win your home Grand Prix and still lose. Both drivers however should be proud of their journeys from humble beginnings to sportsmen of global respect.
- imafish2002, on 11/02/2008, -18/+68The funniest moment in f1 history goes to ferrari - celebrating away thinking they had it in the bag. Couldnt help but laugh watching Massas dad realise!
- xrEE, on 11/02/2008, -3/+42Congratulations Massa, top bloke. But Lewis Hamilton World Champion!! Britain's Proud of you!!
- rikwakefield, on 11/02/2008, -2/+33Holy mother of God, that was an exciting finish! I was resigned to him losing and then he pulled it out; I nearly screamed the house down. :D
Did anyone see the Ferrari team celebrating? I lol'd. - BN2L, on 11/02/2008, -8/+39Undoubtedly the greatest sporting moment I have ever seen. What a race! Congratulations Lewis and the team.
- huwloaring, on 11/02/2008, -2/+32Just goes to show - never give up hope ! What a race ! Congratulations Lewis...
- mwc191, on 11/02/2008, -4/+33best last lap ever..
but before anyone blames glock.. he gambled to keep the dry tires on.. he didn't stop so that's why he was ahead of hamilton.. the rain got more intense and so he had to go slower.. so not really glock's fault! - Jon211, on 11/02/2008, -1/+30He didn't yield the position, he was on dry tyres and it started raining heavily at the end.
Trulli, the other guy on dries, was even slower than Glock on the last lap. - rikwakefield, on 11/02/2008, -1/+29Don't see the colour. See the man. See the achievement.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -3/+30Seriously. Take your politics to political threads.

had to be done. - mrbutter, on 11/02/2008, -1/+26You do realize F1 isn't an American sport right? They don't even have a race in the U.S. let alone North America.
It's world champion because:
1) That's the actual title given by the FOM/FIA
2) There are drivers and teams from all over the world and they travel all over the world to race. So I don't think "world champion" is an unfair term. - Spetz, on 11/02/2008, -2/+27Formula one at its greatest. Epic finale.
- Comanche, on 11/02/2008, -0/+25Wow, your brain skills are without equal.
Formula 1 != NASCAR - nevetssav, on 11/02/2008, -0/+25Your inability to discern Formula 1 from NASCAR (TRASHCAR) is without equal.
- Disgod, on 11/02/2008, -0/+24I was on my feet screaming at the TV wondering where Glock was!! They weren't showing him and I knew he had to be losing mad amounts of time staying on dry tires.
That was an amazing race, and although I wanted Hamilton to win the championship, I felt really bad for Massa. That poor guy thought he had won it all for probably half a lap, and it was gut wrenching to watch them go from just utter happiness to utter silence in the Ferrari pits. - iain76, on 11/02/2008, -1/+24I was reading the text commentary on the web and I had to turn away I couldn't believe it when I came back and it said he had taken Glock!!!!
- slicecom, on 11/02/2008, -2/+24You're an idiot.
Glock was on dry tires in heavy rain. Did you see the end of Spa? Same thing happened. Driving these cars on dry tires in rain is next to impossible. - physco827, on 11/02/2008, -2/+23Unbelievable end to the race, what a great end to the season. GO LEWIS. Massa was also a true gentlemen at the press conference in congratulating him, congrats to ferrari on the constructors also.
- Attunement, on 08/02/2009, -1/+22He was using dry tires on a wet track, couldn't really expect him to keep up with the pace of everyone else could you?
- Capicuaman, on 11/02/2008, -1/+20Congratulations Hamilton and Massa; wining a F1 race as a local is no small feat by any means.
- nibkey, on 11/02/2008, -3/+21I guess if he was a big star before then he's going to be a global superstar now. It's easy to forget - this is only his SECOND season and he is only 23 years old. Most who are not very well versed in Motorsport would not even have been aware of him three years ago. To go in at this level is astonishing. Possibly the 1st driver as a result of the Playstation generation (he's spoken about hours and hours on games and simulators to know the tracks before he ever drives them)? If he keeps this up he could be one of the 21st century's major sporting icons. As an Englishman, that makes me extremely proud.
- d3lta, on 11/02/2008, -9/+27You know, thats really rich coming from you Ferrari fans. Hamilton had already wrapped this up until the FIA decided to fine Massa but deduct points from Lewis... even though the had to blur the rule's in Lewis's case about the conceding the advantage after cutting a corner.
And the kind of ***** that the anti-Lewis spanish fans/media has been churning out is despicable, but not surprising considering the conduct of recent Spanish teams. Racist *****. - Disgod, on 11/02/2008, -0/+18Dude that was gut wrenching, and funny. I felt so damn bad for them. It was like watching someone flick a switch from complete joy to sadness.
- StefanArak, on 11/02/2008, -1/+18That was incredibly tense, I was screaming at my TV in the last couple of laps!
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -2/+19http://www.ukimagehost.com/uploads/1ccc56ebc5.jpg
- nibkey, on 11/02/2008, -0/+16It was the F1 equivalent of the moment in The Simpsons where Lisa breaks Ralph's heart. "Watch this - You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half. "
- ArchivalQuality, on 11/02/2008, -1/+17When he got passed by Vettel with three to go I had my head on the sofa yelling "***** ***** *****" and then when he passed Glock I got up and did the airplane dance.
- inactive, on 11/02/2008, -7/+22Racists of the world: EAT CRAP!!!
- ahoyhoy1, on 11/03/2008, -1/+15Can't wait for Nascar to leave the U.S. ....and find a quiet place to die.
- fenderjazz, on 11/02/2008, -1/+15Can't wait for F1 to come back to the U.S.
- bbardlbradd, on 11/02/2008, -0/+14***** THE FIA!!!
- hookai, on 11/02/2008, -0/+13Thanks to the opening and closing downpour which added up to the drama. Watched it from start to finish. Awesome finale!
- jamdogg, on 11/02/2008, -0/+13Toyota, that is.
- BN2L, on 11/02/2008, -0/+13Indy is where F1 drivers go to retire.
- nibkey, on 11/02/2008, -0/+12Is Black the new Black?
- kevdotbadger, on 11/02/2008, -3/+152nd best moment of the race!
- Zurvanian, on 11/02/2008, -0/+12http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51BPsX-pvRc
- slicecom, on 11/02/2008, -4/+15I'm ashamed to admit I was laughing my ass off as well. ;)
- HenryLegge, on 11/02/2008, -1/+12No it wasn't, Hamilton deserved the win, like if he hadn't unjustly had his points taken from Spar then he would have won anyway.
- KyloOb, on 11/02/2008, -6/+17Great job Lewis, I can see Glock having a hard time leaving Brazil unharmed =D
- chump, on 11/02/2008, -0/+11You're going to do some research... then you're going to find out that you are wrong.
Then you'll cry a little bit to yourself. - slicecom, on 11/02/2008, -1/+11Good idea. Go on a NEWS site with a MOTORSPORT section when you don't want to hear the results of the World Driver Championship.
Idiot. - mickstephenson, on 11/02/2008, -0/+10Well if an American team took part then perhaps you might get a stage, shame American cars are ***** eh?
- nevetssav, on 11/02/2008, -0/+10He decided to stay on Dry tires and just hope the rain would go away. It didn't. It started to rain more, and so he had to slow down, since he couldn't grip the corners as well.
- kevdotbadger, on 11/02/2008, -1/+11Not sure if he was told to slow or if the rain did enough, either way well done.
- michaeltime, on 11/02/2008, -2/+11http://fotos.subefotos.com/a984babe3db3feffe4e295c ...
- hookai, on 11/02/2008, -2/+11Best mood swing moment (whichever side you're on) of motorsports in 2008.
- rento, on 11/02/2008, -0/+9At the end I was gutted for Massa to be honest. Still I would have been gutted for Hamilton if he would have lost. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...............
I am happy for Lewis, sorry Felipe you ran so well sigh. -
