- flipao, on 10/31/2008, -2/+11Without meaning to defend the people who actually are racist, I do have to say the British press seem to be on a mission to apply a racist stigma to all people from Spain because of a number of headlines in sports related incidents and without any other actual research, none of their articles does actually list any statistical data (i.e. hate crimes) that could add weight to their arguments, all they have is the same 4-5 stories they've been talking about for the past 5 years.

Take it from a person of colour born here, sometimes I even feel bad for White Canadians. I went to 2 football matches both in Madrid and there were monkey chants and other sickening examples of racism at both... if that happened it in the Uk in this day and age it would be an absolute scandal but it happens every week in Spain..
