- capheine, on 11/16/2009, -0/+71Actual car racing >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NASCAR
This video is ***** sweet. - diggB, on 11/16/2009, -1/+63... All we know is, he's called The Stig!
- playbedar, on 11/16/2009, -0/+55He didn't touch a single car! I can't even do than in Forza 3 for christ sake.
- sghod1212, on 11/15/2009, -0/+43That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
- macmcraeart, on 11/16/2009, -1/+37that ***** is frightening to watch.light cars ***** rule.
- borez, on 11/16/2009, -1/+32Late on the brakes, early on the throttle, balls of steel.
- bstew22, on 11/16/2009, -0/+28Is it sad that i new every turn from that race.... not because i'm into racing, but because i've played Gran Turismo entirely way too much?
- tomazws, on 11/16/2009, -0/+261:20 was soooooo close! If you watch closely, he's the ONLY one out there using the entire track. Awesome driving!
- Shitokki, on 11/16/2009, -1/+25*****. Awesome.
- dsmx, on 11/16/2009, -1/+23Actually that's the exige that uses the toyota engine.
Still the elise is coming up on 15 years old and is still a fantastic car. The handling is something else it may not have much power but when you don't really have to slow down for corners that's not much of an issue. - brazilianwinter, on 11/16/2009, -3/+23You know what's crazy? Lotus Elise shares the same Toyota engine as your mother's Camry. The weight to power ratio is insane in Elise though.
- aralls, on 11/16/2009, -0/+18agreed - Anything >>> NASCAR
- ThantiK, on 11/16/2009, -2/+19A+++++++++++++ WOULD BUY FROM AGAIN. DELIVERY MAN WAS FAST AND HAD BALLS OF STEEL!!!!!
- ldsan, on 11/16/2009, -1/+17no, just the guy with the biggest balls
- decker12, on 11/16/2009, -0/+15This is just like my racing in Forza Motorsports 3. Except I'm usually slamming into the other cars, and getting slammed into by M.Rossi.
- BionicPimp, on 11/16/2009, -1/+15the type of racing that is popular directly correlates with the type of driving we do all day.
1. Europe - twisty, hilly mountain passes -> rally driving
2. Japan - Tight Urban driving -> SuperGT (Tracks are really tiny, super technical)
3. USA - Long freeway commuting -> Nascar
Simply put, Nascar is simulated freeway driving. - borez, on 11/16/2009, -1/+13Yeah but computer opponents severely lack the ability to see correct and manoeuvre around the other cars like a real driver does, they usually just find a line and stick to it regardless of the car damage it'll cause.
- justinjones, on 11/16/2009, -1/+13It isn't the Exige, it's the Evora.
Both the Elise and Exige use versions of the 4 cylinder ZZ.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_ZZ_engine - Luzo33, on 11/16/2009, -1/+12amazingly good driving
- pinguz, on 11/17/2009, -0/+11Just curious, are you guys frantically googling right now or just typing all this about Toyota and Lotus engines off the top of your heads?
- harrygibus, on 11/17/2009, -0/+10It's like the other cars are standing still on the downhill.

- docbaily, on 11/16/2009, -1/+11Wheel to wheel racing really is all about who has the bigger balls.
- bbscience, on 11/16/2009, -1/+10Its not every day that my heart gets pumping like that. SWEET!
- IHeartNY, on 11/16/2009, -1/+10The Toyota engine in the Elise is actually from the Corolla. The Evora uses the Camry V6.
- motivatedguy, on 11/16/2009, -0/+9They use the 2ZZ-GE w/ VVTL-i. The same engine that's in the 2000+ Celica GT-S. However the ports are slightly modified to bring the max horsepower up.
- meddelem, on 11/17/2009, -0/+7mirror?
- sgvprelude, on 11/16/2009, -0/+7This guy must smile at LA traffic every morning.
- osfan456, on 11/16/2009, -0/+7So amazed when the guy passed 3 people right before the downhill section.
- terrapurus, on 11/17/2009, -0/+7Balls of steel? Try balls of diamond ... got to have some major kahunas to do that on THAT track. For non Australians, Mt Panorama is a race track that goes up the side of a MOUNTAIN and down again. The track is 6.2km and the steepest incline is 1 in 6.13. Every October they hold a 1000km race there with the V8's that are speed limited to 296km/hr down the main straight. Outside of racing days it is an open street and you can drive on it at the speed limit of 60km/hr - the corner at 1:54 in the vid you are on the breaks at 45km/hr in family car. Across the top of the mountain? Well, its concrete walls all round. Get off line and you kiss the wall and they tow whats left of the wreck back to the pits. And of course there is the occasional kangaroo to deal with if it decides to jump accross the track.
This is what it is like at full throttle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SdLqr5rDwg - hokiedan99, on 11/16/2009, -0/+7***** M. Rossi! He is the dirtiest driver in the game!
- OneOfTheElect, on 11/17/2009, -0/+6Would drive with again! A++++
- piieerrrree, on 11/16/2009, -0/+6If races were broadcast by cameras on dashboards like this, I would probably watch racing.
- brokenwatch, on 11/16/2009, -0/+6Lotus Elise MSRP: $47,250 - $54,990
http://autos.yahoo.com/2009_lotus_elise/
BMW M3 MSRP: $54,850 - $66,500
http://autos.yahoo.com/2009_bmw_m3/ - abhishek23, on 11/16/2009, -1/+6brilliant stuff...
- oyflaaaayvin, on 11/16/2009, -0/+5I found myself wanting to step on the imaginary brake pedal below my computer.
- Vapor17, on 11/16/2009, -0/+4I'll be in my bunk....
- rweiss11, on 11/16/2009, -1/+5WOW! That's all I have to say!
- IHeartNY, on 11/17/2009, -0/+4Outside of the US, such as in Australia, the base engine for the Elise is the 1.8L 1ZZ-FE which is found the Toyota Corolla.
- cobrabyte, on 11/17/2009, -0/+4I call B.S.
I'd love to look at the debris field behind him.
Gah, as an Elise owner I was cringing the whole time. Damn good driver. - Drakoi, on 11/16/2009, -1/+5cool, what's the story on this? was that like the one pro amongst a bunch of amateurs?
- sturmgiest, on 11/17/2009, -0/+3except that even interstates have right turns every once in a while
- karan1003, on 11/16/2009, -0/+3Bathurst is a ridiculous track. Want to drive it so badly.
- fack0, on 11/16/2009, -0/+3..too easy
- Baconation, on 11/17/2009, -0/+3Thank you, when they took it off youtube I almost cried.
