- DevinWatson, on 11/04/2009, -0/+54I love the movie but the car was actually a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 and they just overlaid the soundtrack from a Ferrari...
- ParappaDaCrappa, on 11/04/2009, -2/+23It's the stig's cousin from the mid 70's
- jeriqo, on 11/04/2009, -1/+21And he drove it himself, not a professional formula 1 driver.
Thumbs down shortsbay.com - danconia, on 11/04/2009, -0/+19For those of you who like this kinda stuff, Google "Getaway in Stockholm"
Essentially these guys take cars and drive as fast as they can. Several cops try to follow them but don't even come close. And naturally I assume it takes place in Stockholm (I wouldn't know, I've never been there). Here's a clip:

- Sexercise, on 11/04/2009, -0/+11The Ferrari sings FAR better than that, even though it was a Mercedes :(
- TheDiggAbides, on 11/04/2009, -1/+12I have a projector, lots of DVDs, and a big white wall to project on so I use this as an excuse to hold parties at my place.
Anyways it was funny seeing this article pop up because one night about a year ago I was hosting at my place and I had this exact short running on a loop to set a cool ambience for the party (btw, Ferrari volume was lowered and music was blasting). I guess through word of mouth more people showed up than I had expected, in fact many people I had never met, including several outrageously drunk French people. Now when these people finally caught on that there was this movie being played on a wall nearby the ringleader of their group stood up and shouted "OH OUI! PARIS!" then ran towards the wall obstructing the projection and instead having part of the movie play out on his shirt and pants. As the car zipped around the city these cheerful Parisians insisted on pointing out every meaningful location to themselves, and sharing it with the rest of the steadily growing liquored-up audience. "ZEES ES WHERE I WENT TO SCHOOL" one would shout while making a dark impression on the screen in the shape of a pointing hand. "OUI! ZEES IS MOST BEAUTIFUL AREEYA EEN PARIS YOU MUST GO ZERE!" another would say. Anyways it was a great time had by all and I'm glad this article just reminded me I have this DVD somewhere. - nambio, on 11/04/2009, -0/+10...which is a 4 door sedan with a 3-speed automatic gearbox. Amazing how fast everything feels when you have a screaming Ferrari engine as the soundtrack.
- capblast, on 11/04/2009, -0/+9early google street view
- lisafeel, on 11/04/2009, -0/+7the making of video:

- Sexercise, on 11/04/2009, -3/+9omg...
I've been looking for this video for 4 years.
Dugg. - oyflaaaayvin, on 11/04/2009, -0/+6It only seems fast because the camera is so low to the ground. Plus I don't think the tire squeals quite match up what should actually be happening.
- gvoakes, on 11/04/2009, -0/+6That would be so much fun.
- gren99, on 11/04/2009, -0/+6it was also one of the most badass 4 door sedans of it's age. think of it as the aston martin rapide of its era (i won't equate it toe porsche panamera -- cars that look like 4 door pacers don't get much love from me.)
- Furrything, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5Yeah...I knew this film looked familiar...
- epyon180, on 11/04/2009, -3/+8Doesn't digg have a dupe detector? This might be the 10th time I have seen this on the digg front page. And if you haven't seen this yet.. welcome to the internet.
- danconia, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5And we're not talking about that Nic Cage *****.
- fragomatik, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5Holy *****! I remember watching this on VHS cassette 25 years ago. Still awesome!
- borez, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5Ahh, so that's why there were no visible signs of torque as the driver was shifting up through the gears and slamming the throttle.
- Zaxcomp, on 11/04/2009, -0/+4It gets reposted here every 6 months or so. This is absolutely not the online début of this video.
- digggggggggg, on 11/04/2009, -0/+4More exciting? Definitely. More artsy? Definitely not.

- MYarms, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4breakneck speed??? i drive faster than that on my daily commute to work.
- rubbers0ul, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4let's see, 70s footage it's obviously 8mm or super16 it's paris there are tree lined streets, the engine noise is high performance.
your google fu is lacking - djnikadeemas, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4I found my new ringtone.
- gloopofdoom, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3Does anyone have proof of this? Not that I don't believe you, I just want to read it.
- borez, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I love the cop car in that, it's just like... not a ***** chance mate.
- Xtanto, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3That is because it is a dub - the real car is not squealing like it is in a hollywood movie.
- Giac, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4he's actually right you know...it wasn't a 275 GTB
- spworm, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I love the end.
Ah the french. They've got their priorities straight. - lewikee, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3You haven't been looking very hard...

You can't really google that. - ChocChunkOaties, on 11/04/2009, -1/+3Lol "ZEES IS WHERE I TAKE A *****" points to hole in ground...
- idiotonuni, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2actually its a deleted scene from ferris bueler's day off
- codyman, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2if you're not familiar with Lelouch's work, he's a great director
Check out the film Le Bonne Annee (I think I am spelling it right -- it's all French to me...) - it's a mature heist film... it's a commitment to watch as it doesn't cry out "this is really entertaining"... it's more of a "thinking" movie but still really well done - ampdj89, on 11/05/2009, -0/+2Supra forever.
- RealmDown, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2"Take 2"

First, second, third, fifth, and sixth one down. - karan1003, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Dubbed audio and decent driving made to seem faster because of the camera height. Great video anyway though, because he pulls around traffic and corners really well, although the actual top speed he hits isn't that high.
- karan1003, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Pity no one's done it with the GTR yet.
