- dawesdust12, on 05/25/2008, -11/+38She ***** sucks, it's all hype *****.
- plarp, on 05/25/2008, -7/+29F1 doesn't halt for rain..
- AshamedAmerican, on 05/25/2008, -2/+22Pit stops will be delayed severely with the crew running for cover every time she comes in.
- Condemned, on 05/25/2008, -6/+26She's not going to win.
- threemagic, on 05/25/2008, -2/+16Not any male driver who could bring the marketing that she can. She's a marketing wet dream... (pun intended.)
- schwit, on 05/25/2008, -5/+18Indy racing is almost as lame as Nascar. It ain't real racing if it's spec cars on an oval.
- l33tpwnzord, on 05/25/2008, -4/+15do you know why helen keller couldn't drive?
she was a woman - inactive, on 05/25/2008, -13/+22143 races, one win. Any male driver would have been fired after the first fifty races. If she wasn't pleasant to look at she'd be working back at McD's.
- swordedge, on 05/25/2008, -0/+9that weight advantage is gone this year. The car must meet a weight WITH THE DRIVER IN IT.
- HayString, on 05/25/2008, -2/+11Who let her out of the kitchen?
- bitterbug, on 05/25/2008, -0/+81/1000th of a second is not insignificant in high speed sports.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -1/+8what the? oh promo.....
- funnydale, on 05/25/2008, -1/+8Tell that to Vitor Meria, AJ Foyt IV, Ryan Briscoe, Darren Manning,...
Somehow, they have managed to keep their jobs without a single win.
If you're going to be pissed off at a female driver who shouldn't be near a race car; look at Milka Duno. - inactive, on 05/25/2008, -1/+7Why are guys so obsessed with big boobs.
I am a teenage male (the horniest of creatures on the face of the earth), and i like it when the boobs "fit" the girl. Like Ellen Page, small *****, but they're sexy as hell. - ibone, on 05/25/2008, -2/+8Doesn't everyone race to win? Id imagine there are other new drivers to that race.
This is not her first attempt either. Buried. - skeletorcares, on 05/25/2008, -4/+8Probably still scared that a woman was on the track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCFh6QL5PDU
(Not that I have anything against women, its a predisposed lack of skill at the task, generally) - thanakar, on 05/25/2008, -3/+7It isn't fricking news until she actually wins, keep this crap off the front page. Buired as lame.
- trogdorBURN, on 05/25/2008, -0/+4did you know hellen keller had a dollhouse in her backyard?
neither did she - wtfhacksDan, on 05/25/2008, -0/+4Maybe you should watch the races before talking. Just some examples.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p34qqD8jcUY - cambob76, on 05/25/2008, -0/+4I hear you. I'm not saying she needs 40DD. My comment was just a really poor joke, I guess. And Ellen Page is the *****.
- jggube, on 05/25/2008, -6/+10I was at Carb Day yesterday at Indy - there's nothing quite like the Indy 500 weekend. I was hoping to see Danica Patrick, alas, I wasn't able to! :(
- Rpd9803, on 05/25/2008, -0/+3Yeah, less likely 23 days of the month.. ohhhhhh
// hickory, dickory, dock. - BOFH2, on 05/25/2008, -10/+13Validate her talent? She has already proven she has talent.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2if that wasn't enough wait just one year. less aero and the return of slicks is gonna make 2009 an epic year in F1 racing.
- SniperZ, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2Is this really news, arent the other driver going for an indy 500 win, many their first too...?
- antonio97b, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2More difficult?
Let me introduce you to Group B. - inactive, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2You miss the point Spanky. She's been in the Indy now for several years. This article is the equivalent of a "Year of the Linux Desktop"
- chaseacej, on 05/25/2008, -4/+6Who cares if she wins as long as she keeps posing.
- DreamVsPs2, on 05/25/2008, -5/+7GO DADDY !!!!
- Virgule, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2"(...)and driving around an oval is hardly real racing."
I respectfully disagree. On a oval its all about staying power. It need a very strong mind and physical endurance. Constantly soaking several lateral G for hours always on the same side is a very heavy metal endeavor. Also, an oval allow spectators to see ALL the race from ANY seats. :) - matschig, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2LOL
- randyzaia, on 05/25/2008, -4/+6I will give her this - she's competing in a man's sport WITH MEN and not doing halfway bad. It always makes me laugh when I see Sports Illustrated giving as much coverage to the women's basketball tournament as the men's. You might as well start covering intramural sports.
- Virgule, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2baloney. Lots of pro drivers goes through hundreds of races without winning. I.E. Rubens Barrichello raced over a 100 F1 Grand Prix before winning. He's still there.
- soogy, on 05/25/2008, -1/+3This is stupid. Scott Dixon is going to win, everyone knows that already.
- WNW3, on 05/25/2008, -2/+4Dude, that's a line
- killmonty, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2wow totally misread that as "she does most of the field"
- jaydoj, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2Yes, but can she do it without clipping anyone with her car?
- plarp, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1i was at f1's return to the us.. the race used 2/3rds of the oval.. the race had on and off rain
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -1/+2Not true Sir!
There was that genius chick I totally said I'd hit, and then retracted. - Quaoar, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1
What you say? F1 is scripted down to the moves the team can make in the pits. How can F1 be 'real racing' if the cars have to conform to the thousand page manual, the pits have to conform to the thousand page manual, the cars are far more capable than the drivers? There is far less ability for a team to make points in F1 than in any US stock car or oval racing.
Q - bitterbug, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1Downhill skiing.
- SaladCactusKing, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1you should put both hands on the steering wheel when you drive, not just one. (For safety)
- selmer, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1Wow, thanks for linking to a story that you submitted earlier. I can't believe I missed that one! Really, really funny! I mean, the Oscar Wiener mobile...that is classic. Classic stuff. Really, seriously funny. Thank you for sharing this with us all. There is NO WAY I could have ever, ever found something like this on my own, so THANK YOU for linking to it in this particular comment thread. And the connection to Danica? PRICELESS. I mean, how funny is that? And how incredible that you submitted this just a few hours ago, right before this was submitted? It boggles the mind...we are clearly all experiencing some kind of cosmic alignment that may just result in a Bill-and-Ted-ish universal peace and harmony, thanks to your connecting these completely independent yet HILARIOUSLY connected submissions, one of which YOU YOURSELF submitted. Awesome!
- swordedge, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1Congratulations on your successful prognostication. Kanaan is turning into the current Michael Andretti with bad luck. Scott is who I thought had just as good a chance as Kanaan. But the driver that most deserves to win came in second... again. Vitor Meira. (81 starts, 8 second places, 14 podiums, 26 top fives, 51 top tens, that he hasn't won yet is astounding)
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1Quick, name a contest that was decided by such a slim margin.
- matschig, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1Lol keep those sexist commnets coming! I'm making a book over here!
- swordedge, on 05/25/2008, -3/+4No she hasn't. 50 races in great to top notch equipment to get one win? Proves she middling at best.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1There is something even better then an Indy 500 weekend. It the Monaco GP.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -1/+2or lack there of.
