- roastedbagel, on 11/08/2008, -7/+262he doesnt get run over, he gets slammed into :/
On top of that he gets up right after the accident so good to see he wasn't killed.
And to the younger diggers out there who say "good ***** pigs he shoulda died!!111" let me tell you, back when I was a just a little roastedbagel I too thought all cops were *****. That all changed when I was hit by a truck who ran a light which caused my car to flip multiple times and trap me inside. You know who was the first person there, before rescue, to jump in and talk to me and make sure I was ok? A cop. While all the other ***** people who stopped and looked and gawked and took pictures, none of them had the decency to come up to me and see if i was ok (this is before the cop came over). ***** people.. - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -2/+168After the cop walks up to the car that hit him, wouldn't it be cool if the driver had the audacity to say "What seems to be the problem officer?"
- bixby1, on 11/09/2008, -1/+135That's a motorcyclist's nightmare, cop or not.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -8/+69I have a feeling he's not getting out of that ticket...
- whataboutdave, on 11/09/2008, -0/+58Cop or no cop motorcycle crashes are horrifying.
- Miamisun, on 11/09/2008, -6/+611. That cop is a bad ass for getting right up from that.
2, I see someone clearly go through a red light like that atleast once a day. Hope they made an example of this guy.
3. I like football. - junskey, on 11/09/2008, -0/+47i ***** hate negligent drivers. one of my family members died this way :(
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -19/+63Most Diggers are immature pricks who still live in their parents basement. They've probably never met a cop, so ignorance is to be expected.
- badenglishihave, on 11/09/2008, -0/+33It'd be even cooler if the cop then proceeded to tase him.
- john2kx, on 11/09/2008, -0/+29"While all the other ***** people who stopped and looked and gawked and took pictures, none of them had the decency to come up to me and see if i was ok (this is before the cop came over). ***** people.."
It's a social phenomenon known as "distribution of responsibility"... When something happens, and there's a group of people around, everyone thinks someone else is going to take action, so no one does anything. - d0ugfunny, on 11/08/2008, -5/+27Stupid drunk runs the red light and hits a cop on a motorcycle while texting with his non-smoking hand while putting on his pants... and changing the radio station...
...ok that never happened, but still dugg. - darkhero, on 11/09/2008, -0/+20It was probably the adrenaline. Wait a few seconds and he won't be able to walk.
- painting, on 11/09/2008, -4/+23horray for racism.
- Ymeg, on 11/09/2008, -9/+27Not every traffic cop is a power-tripping *****; most aren't.
- anarchyinthekr, on 11/09/2008, -10/+28an asian woman from the looks of it
- palehorse864, on 11/09/2008, -2/+17Technically the cop hit him, but it was definitely the car driver's fault. The guy ran the red light and it looks like the cop had little to no time to even react or stop the motorcycle, especially with the foliage on the right side of the image.
- AtleticoMadrid, on 11/09/2008, -2/+16This happens all too often when people turn left and right out of residential neighborhoods. They don't even see the bikes coming. I watched 2 squids nearly eat it this morning because they were racing to the next light and someone turned right out of a residential in front of them. Please watch out for the Motorcyclists. We are watching out for you as the driver in car is at fault in nearly 70+% of Motorcycle deaths.
- Rememberthe0511, on 11/09/2008, -3/+16I'm glad that cop was there to help you. And no I don't think this cop should have died.
But you being helped by a cop doesn't make up for the number of times I have been followed for 10 mins while the cop tries to BS a reason to pull me over so he can run my plates or the number of times I have been pulled over and given high priced tickets for the dumbest things of all time. Most cops I have ever ran into have been 100% jerks.
This being said I'm not happy at all that that guy ran that light and got in a wreck with that cop. - lamejoketeller, on 11/09/2008, -1/+14Unfortunately, the ones who are are also the loudest.
- huff51, on 11/09/2008, -3/+16sound like a proven fact to me. thats why if youre ***** up somehow and can still talk you are supposed to start telling people what to do ie hey guy call 911, hey lady come here and apply pressure
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 11/09/2008, -2/+14And always bring a towel
- Typhoon2009, on 11/09/2008, -1/+12shouldn't you be collecting your welfare check or snorting a line of coke or something
- Eqxy, on 11/09/2008, -0/+11Wow. What kind of ***** idiot just runs a light like that? I don't think a lot of people realize that the 3000lb hunks of metal they control can seriously injure someone. On the other hand, that Cop is a badass for getting right back up after that. He probably ran down the street and kicked the guys ass.
- Sisko41, on 11/09/2008, -0/+10thats a pretty vicious t-bone. How did he manage to get up right away?
- xz9925, on 11/09/2008, -0/+10being a firefighter, i've seen too many. Yes the are horrifying
- uptwolait, on 11/09/2008, -3/+13"Somebody call the cops!! Oh..."
- john2kx, on 11/09/2008, -0/+9Remember to always wear a helmet, kids.
- doublefelix, on 11/09/2008, -3/+12He doesn't get slammed into, he slams into:/
- Bub978, on 11/09/2008, -1/+9Buried for too many syllables and bad meter.
- zbeast, on 11/09/2008, -5/+13The driver was either drunk or distracted.
But i'm not sure how you miss a "dead" intersection like that.
(dead intersection are where all the car's around you have all ready stopped.)
I almost had a cop run into the side of my car. I was driving fast and my radar detector when off.
I jumped on the brakes to bring my speed down to standard min... 25mph... the cop who was shooting radar..
thought he was going to swoop out of the driveway from where he was hiding and slide up behind my car.
Thing was I was now drivng 15mph slower.
So when he looked up from his bike acceleration my car door was right in frount of him.
He did a fount wheel stoppie all the way up to my car.
It's didn't matter if he gave me a ticket or not, the look of terror on his face was worth the price of admission.
I drove on, he then pulled out behind me then he just drove off.
I guess he had to go home change his shorts. - roxgod666, on 11/09/2008, -0/+8being an avid youtube video watcher, i have also see too many.
- uknowwhoibe, on 11/09/2008, -0/+86. Sex
- lolwtfhaha, on 11/09/2008, -0/+8same here
- arlok789, on 11/09/2008, -2/+10Take Driving Seriously. I know that accidents happen but an accident could mean you or somebody you care about dies. Don't drive 5 mph and be terrified, but always be responsible and don't dick around in the car. Don't drive when you are sleep deprived or drunk. Don't text, don't speed excessively, always make sure your tires and brakes are good. Whatever excuse you have for not taking driving seriously at all times isn't worth taking a life.
- Someguy101, on 02/19/2009, -14/+21Not every Digg user is an immature prick, most aren't.
- xedd, on 11/09/2008, -1/+8The odds are it was a white male, younger than 25.
- soupdawg30, on 11/09/2008, -7/+14Sounds like an excuse to be an ***** to me.
- xz9925, on 11/09/2008, -4/+11i wouldnt say that would be "cool". now the cop pulling the driver out and kickin the crap out of him.. that would be "cool" (and justified)
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -7/+14And then he tazed you, right?
- PsychoDesigns, on 11/09/2008, -0/+7Actually, he slams into the car, not get slammed into by the car.
- woofers07, on 11/09/2008, -0/+7That guy is *****.
- Vorphlack, on 11/09/2008, -0/+7roastedbagel?
- bnorman, on 11/09/2008, -1/+8Call me crazy, but it sounds like you were implying they were racing, as in speeding to the next light?
- GraphiteBlimp, on 11/09/2008, -1/+8You do know that there is a warning on Nyquil bottles that try to prevent people from operating heavy machinery right?
- john2kx, on 11/09/2008, -1/+8Good observation, Sherlock.
- 83457, on 11/09/2008, -0/+7Sounds like you were negligent. It would probably be more accurate to say "everyone makes mistakes". I know i have run red lights while lost, especially in heavy rain and odd intersections in DC. Thank god nothing has happened to me or others.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -1/+7He ran a red light.
Doesn't matter what you think of cops.
Remember that next time you have right of way, and get slammed into. I'll send you flowers to your hospital room. - cathpah, on 11/09/2008, -1/+7@ burnin8r28
unless he drank the whole damn bottle of nyquil, his father was lying to him. The alcohol content in nyquil is nowhere NEAR enough to put one over the legal limit. In fact, I'm not even sure the alcohol content in the whole bottle would be enough. That is about the oldest excuse in the book, and every cop in the world knows better than that.
p.s. I dislike any ***** cops too (and there are LOTS of them....but a good cop is a good person, and it's an honorable job when done right.) - darkhero, on 11/09/2008, -34/+40Probably an Asian.
