- JerichoSam, on 01/14/2009, -1/+17Official search engine of NASCAR? How far will these "official" deals go?
- chompsky, on 01/15/2009, -0/+9how is babby formed?
- thecolemanation, on 01/15/2009, -1/+9WTF is ask.com?
- Jensaarai, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6Actually, what makes a Toyota a Toyota is the Toyota developed engine.
Toyota. - Dorkside, on 01/15/2009, -2/+8Because nothing says search engine user like a NASCAR fan...
- sockpuppets, on 01/15/2009, -1/+6"How do I grow a mullet?"
- UrinalPooper, on 01/15/2009, -2/+7Yeah because cars which can attain 200mph are so much less technologically advanced than wooden sticks or stuffed leather balls, certainly no geeks could be interested in such a thing being used in a sport.
Although, just to deflate my own argument, "more tattoos than teeth" isn't necessarily an inaccurate stereotype. But it's still a stereotype. - Jensaarai, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4Actually, NASCAR Fan demographics match up with national demographics surprisingly well:
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=47 ...
So to the extent that Americans are search engine users, yes, NASCAR fans probably are too.
But then that'd ***** with our stereotypes and jokes, so let's just ignore that, heh. - Chirp08, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3How do I make an original joke?
How can I prove I know nothing about the series or what it takes to drive a stockcar?
Oh wait you already answered that second one. - WNW3, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3Toyota.
- Kershek, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3An auto-makers' engine programs can give the edge to win races.
- sdbyrd, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2Every sport has them. The ones that don't wish they did. What this really shows is that NASCAR has enough fans to convince advertisers to spend $$$ on just about anything. Props to NASCAR.
- Chirp08, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2It makes all the difference actually. Robby Gordon's average finish went from being close to the 30's to around 15th after switching to DEI motors. Too bad DEI motors also blew up a lot (see everyone of Earnhardt Jr's DNF's in 07)
- kovac9478, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2was altavista busy?
- tacojohn48, on 01/15/2009, -1/+2Ask Dale
- zbeast, on 01/15/2009, -1/+2Ask.com who cares. everyone knows your name ask and no one cares.
- Chirp08, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1Are you serious? That turn doesn't befuddle anyone, you hit that turn at the top of 3rd or 4th (usually third because most teams gear 4th as an "overdrive" gear since there is no more speed to be gained). And you have to stop a 3500lb stock car going down hill, even the best like Gordon ***** it up once in a while because they are pushing their car to the absolute edge, not to mention its one of the few turns where you can complete a pass on requiring drivers to drive as hard as possible to prevent losing positions.
It has nothing to do with "little faith" and they only replace rookies or run an additional car. You clearly don't know anything. - tacojohn48, on 01/15/2009, -1/+2I pulled out, of your Mom.
/sorry, it had to be said - MScrip, on 01/15/2009, -0/+1Why? Because of advertising?
Have you seen the sponsorship stickers on every car, or how races are named for companies... Coca-Cola 600?
Or even a whole series of races... NEXTEL Cup Series?
Yeah, Ask.com is just over the top... - WoWii, on 01/15/2009, -0/+1I'm pretty sure everyone will keep using google...
- tacojohn48, on 01/15/2009, -0/+1Dorkside - You have to think about what the market for ask.com is. That market is people who use the internet and haven't tried Google. If you think of it this way NASCAR makes more sense.
- harrisbradley, on 01/15/2009, -2/+2naskar.com?
- WNW3, on 01/15/2009, -2/+2So...do they really think this is going to take them from LAST PLACE in search engine usage to...what, second to last? Give up already. They ditched Jeeves, the only thing they had going for them. No one cares, go away Ask.com.
- Staggx, on 01/15/2009, -1/+1Wasted cash flow. They should've just bought some Google AdWords.
- macmcraeart, on 01/15/2009, -2/+2what kills me about all professional "sports" ( and all of TV for that matter) is they are little more than a vehicle to get knuckleheads to pay attention to corporate propaganda.
- reichec, on 01/15/2009, -1/+1Why is Google your homepage then?
- frontaxle, on 01/15/2009, -2/+2Each of the 43 cars that will start this year's Daytona 500 have the identical COT chassis. What makes a Toyota a Toyota? Decals.
Kodak pulled out last year. Who else is next? - jotate, on 01/15/2009, -1/+1Awesome. Now I can not give a damn about either and be not giving a damn about both at the same time.
- serif69, on 01/15/2009, -1/+1I'll refer you to turn one at Watkins Glen, a sharp right-hander that always seems to befuddle the regular Nextel Cup drivers, and the fact that many teams hire alternate drivers (like Boris Said) for the road race stops because even they have very little faith in their star drivers to be able to race competitively on a normal circuit.
Oh wait, you said prove that I know *nothing* about the series. Sorry about that. - MScrip, on 01/15/2009, -1/+1That's why television was invented... to show ads.
Oh sure... it was cool to beam audio and video through the air to a TV set miles away... but guess what? That *****'s expensive. We gotta find a sponsor. - KevinGardo, on 01/15/2009, -0/+0Well "ask" is a lot easier to spell than "google", so I think they have a pretty good strategy going after NASCAR fans
- kizio, on 02/10/2009, -1/+1Nice indeed. Even if it's not true it is quite a nice idea. http://petsjournal.info
- macmcraeart, on 01/15/2009, -3/+2how does evil exist when god is all good, all powerful and all knowing?
- DogCancer, on 02/20/2009, -1/+0Sportsbook,

How to care for your mullet - ricardorocha67, on 02/12/2009, -1/+0It looks like a great deal. Find out more info on http://lookforsite.com/hair/ask.html
- DeskFlyer, on 01/15/2009, -3/+2One more reason not to watch Nascar races.
- Dorkside, on 01/15/2009, -2/+1Very good point. Of course not all NASCAR fan aren't internet savvy. I just think there's better ways this money could be spent on advertising to audiences with a higher rate of internet usage.
- ConfusedCartman, on 01/15/2009, -2/+1http://unclemeat.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/nasca ...
Use Ask or NASCAR will ***** up your *****.
