- utch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow this is awsome!
- lipscgr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This mouse is different the the logitech iFeel mouse. It rumbles on every mouse click
- lipscgr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is not that complex. It just rumbles when the button is clicked. So if you were playing unreal tournament, everytime you fire, it will rumble. It works well, and adds a lot to the game.
I heard of a mouse that responded to sound, and rumbles when you get shot, or if a loud noise goes off. This could be done without too much trouble as well.
You would have to have a game that was programmed for force feedback in order for it to be like an xbox game. - griffgj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have a spare mouse, I am going to try to build one of these. I digg
- fore1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1pretty neat. so how did you set up the software to tell it to rumble?
- lipscgr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, it will move the cursor a tiny bit. It makes it a good challenge. It is not so much that it is bothersome.
- Sashwan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Whatever happened to the Logitech iFeel mouse... did it just die?
- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I still use my Logitech iFeel mouse. It really was a great product. Some games like Unreal Tournament support it. I'm gonna be scouring the net for one when this thing finally break.
- Ron_Jeremy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not only was there the vibro-tactile iFeel mouse, but about 6 years ago, Immersion and Logitech built a full force feedback mouse under the Wingman name.

I will digg!! - connorrhea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0picked it up for $20 back in the day...moderately unimpressed. keep the rumble on the console.

Yeah I was about to say the same thing.. Didn't their mouse allow you to "feel the screen". What a gimmick. - bigben, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with the article. There has to be an off switch or it could get annoying. I could see it being fun though.
Could you try it wit a wireless mouse? - SystemError, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0all you need now is to figure out how to make a web site tiger the mouse and you could make millions.
- lipscgr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You could use a wireless mouse. The problem is that a wireless mouse, is usually smaller, and would be harder to fit the components into it.
The second problem is that a wireless mouse usually has an "AA" battery, which is 1.5v. This would not give a lot of power for your motor, and it would run the battery down fast. I had a wireless mouse, but it was expensive, and I did not want to mess it up. - xodex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wouldn't this move your cursor though?
- rottle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I bought that ifeel mouse too, and ended up returning it. felt lame and useless
- fore1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I heard of a mouse that responded to sound, and rumbles when you get shot, or if a loud noise goes off. This could be done without too much trouble as well."
that's more of what I had in mind. cool hack none the less. - titanass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am using the Ifeel mouseman still it has never failed me for 5 years now. But I turned the vibrations off long ago added nothing really except annoyance and the only game it works with is unreal tournament.
- munboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0minerva43: "Did anyone read this and think "Best nerd sex toy evar!"
Because that is exactly what I did."
That's what I thought. :D - vertigoblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0cool
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm using an iFeel right now. The vibration part of it is lame, so it is used as a standard old mouse.
- minerva43, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did anyone read this and think "Best nerd sex toy evar!"
Because that is exactly what I did. - karl1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@Sashwan:

But yeah, it looks like it pretty much died. Amazon doesn't have any new or used iFeel mice for sell. - Squill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah Logitech made this 4 years ago, this is old news. It was called the Logitech iFeel and it ***** rocked when playing Tribes 2
- RWVolkl158, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I too had an iFeel mouse, although it's been long since replaced... I used to use it with Soldier of Fortune mostly, but it had support for a fair number of games. Kinda cool, but I'm not surprised it didn't catch on.
- Hoohoonick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Whatever happened to the Logitech iFeel mouse... did it just die?
Nobody knows. I worked for logitech and asked as well, and just got a crap answer. - Flood_of_SYN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The added vibration must make double-clicking the mouse much better. *wink*
I had to say it. - nzeeshan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how about a vibrating tounge ring?
- wizpig64, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0great! now all it needs is a washable cover!
- Kerjo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I still have my iFeel mouse too...it travels around in my backpack every day.
- Raiden218, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apparently nobody caught that bookmarks was on the left and favorites, the right.
- sangsara, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i liked the iFeel mice. actually made my navigation of the OS much faster, pointing was surer when you could feel when to stop moving. too bad it was never supported more. imagine feeling a click when you were perfectly lined up for a headshot in a game.
- KyleThompson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is pretty cool.
I might try this sometime. I DIGG. - DudeAbides, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its alright, i might try it out, but i want more that what the rumble pack can put out, hmmmm maybe i found a good use for the 1 horsepower electric motor i picked up off the side of the road
- michaelg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You could adjust the iFeel to do just about whatever. I used to have one, but I took out the motor that made it vibrate because it was kind of heavy but I kept using that mouse for years until about two months ago when I finally got a new mouse.
- MasterDwarf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Neat but the guy is trying to reinvent the wheel IMO, no digg.
- primehifi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the iFeel was alright for games, to feel the pistol clicks on your hand in fps's games that allowed you to do it (a verson of rogue spear if i recall correctly) was cool...... too bad it never caught on.
- Bleek-II, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What I want to know is. Did any one write a plugin for porn, because I can think of a few more mods I'd like to add to this thing.
- wazoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0logitec made a mouse that did this years ago, nothing new. it was called the iFeel i have one and it was cool for about 20 min.
- JoeAverage, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Logitech made a vibrating mouse about 6 years ago which was powered by Immersion, the same company behind the rubble features in the Dual Shock and Xbox controllers. no digg
