    • PopcornDave, on 07/17/2008, -0/+5I'm curious as to what temperature it heats up to. Popcorn machines get up to between 450 and 525 degrees to pop popcorn. Obviously it's not getting to that temperature but I think popcorn still has to be heated to about 350 degrees to pop.

  • Elude107, on 07/17/2008, -1/+2Fake. USB couldn't provide enough power to heat this, popcorn needs to be hotter than 300c to pop, and that bulb doesn't actually exist: he mocked up the package.
    • PopcornDave, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2About 180c should do the trick to pop ( roughly 350 degrees ) but it won't be the best. You need to get up between 230c and 270c. 300c is getting close to making it taste stale.

      And I believe you're right that it's fake. It would have started to burn the desk if it got hot enough to pop.

      I'm not entirely sure but thats what i would expect.
