- bhavi, on 10/12/2007, -23/+102***** that. It is movies like these that are worth paying for.
- 40bslove, on 10/12/2007, -5/+74i have seen it , watch out for emo spidey
he will get you with a dance number - Legato, on 10/12/2007, -19/+59seriously; digg me down now, but when your done seeing it i dare you to tell me that it was in any way a good movie.
the only redeeming factor for me at least was i saw it with a premier crowd so it had that mystery science theater feel too it... but beyond that it was nothing but an expensive cheesy cliche. - diafel, on 10/12/2007, -7/+39This just in: People pirate movies!
Honestly folks, a movie hitting P2P before the theatrical release is pretty common. This should not be news. - Nowheredan, on 10/12/2007, -5/+37I disagree, based on a preview viewing I saw just hours ago. I even got in for free, but I still felt robbed of my two hours. Just to make sure I'm not discounted as a hater, I liked the previous two movies. But this one... good god, it was slow for the first half and then totally fell apart in the second! This is the Batman Forever of Spider-Man movies.

- neoknight, on 10/12/2007, -15/+43spidey dies in the end

By your account 300, Sin City, and V for Vendetta shouldn't have been made either and MAN did I love those even w/o knowing where the hell they came from. - ardnut, on 10/12/2007, -4/+29"It is movies like these that are worth paying for"
Not really, only worth watching for the bruce campbell cameo. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+34why digg me down?

idiots - maffiou, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Honeypot beware !! I'd look twice before touching it !
- luciferin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28I thought it was pretty good. Granted I was one of those people laughing when I "wasn't supposed to", but hell if you go to the midnight premiere of any movie, in a theater chock-full of nerds hooting and hollering at the screen and some jack-ass trying to start a slow clap at the end, you can't honestly expect me to sit there with my friends and not make a few sly comments have a good laugh.
Despite this I still thought it was a powerful movie, with a lot of style to it.
Oh, and the music was brilliant. - tast01, on 10/12/2007, -8/+29doesnt matter, spider-man 3 sucked
- plamoni, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24YOU ARE A PIRATE!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLsJyfN0ICU - deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -9/+30Sequels of sequels are worth paying for? In my mind it's movies like this that drive me to piracy. Come up with some original ideas you hacks.
- razrielle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22Meh, the movie was ok, but i wouldn't waste bandwidth on it
- andyrobo60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17You can tell if its hosted by the MPAA as it will have over 1000 seeds but you never connect to any of them and if you look at the availability from the people you are connected to (dont know how many bit torrent clients have this, azureus does) it will never pass 0.99.
- nickarodriguez, on 10/12/2007, -5/+21Too bad the movie was terrible.
- chrisrules895, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Snape kills spiderman!
- goosnargh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16It's a ***** cam, it'd look and sound ***** on anything.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17Most people who see it will watch it on there "15 inch" TVs when it arrives on home video. Cinemas are a con-job everything should go straight to video with the option of seeing it in the theater.
- skasks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14During the movie when Mary Jane gets hit by Peter, everyone in the theater was like,
"::gasp::"
then some random guy in the back yells,
"TAKE YOUR TOP OFF!!!" - Nowheredan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17Anyone who gave up a large chunk of their lives for this movie should be ashamed of themselves. It was THAT bad. If I were involved in making it, I'd have asked to have my name taken out of the credits.
- mst3kcrow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Can't be worse then "Manos: Hands of Fate."
- EnzanBlues, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Yeah I just got back from seeing it too. It really wasn't what I was expecting. The action sequences were great, especially the final showdown, but the rest of the movie just felt out of place from the previous two. It's not like it was horrible or anything, just a lot more comedy and nothing like the others.
- treas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13I paid $7.50 to watch Spiderman turn into an angsty emo teenager. I want my money back.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16This movie is pretty crappy it has a lot of hype but the script is flat. The CGI is amazing but i didn't think it was that great.
- ardnut, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14"Spiderman is portrayed as a real sissy boy in this one."
Err... which of the Spiderman films isn't he portrayed as a real sissy boy? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13One version is a P2P copy the other is an "official" scene release thats just cropped a little bit
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I'd rather spend the money on DVD-Rs
- psbpv3o, on 10/12/2007, -11/+20@legato
totally agree with you. Raimi is laughing at us right now. He just destroyed the franchise and is making millions off of it.
but it was really funny. the facial expressions in the emotional scenes, priceless.
"You killed my father"
(joyously laughing) "yeah!" - shortarabguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9It was one massive disappointment... It was literally so bad that it was borderline hilarious like Snakes on a Plane, but not quite bad enough to actually BE hilarious like Snakes on a Plane...
Don't Netflix it. Don't even download it if you're nearing any sort of bandwidth limit. Steal your neighbor's internet connection, download it through that, and then save it onto a disc so that it doesn't waste your hard drive's space. THEN watch it. - mst3kcrow, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12I agree but I despise the MPAA to the degree where I refuse to pay for any affiliated movie in the theater. I much rather wait 5-6 months for the DVD release and pay my monthly fee to Netflix. Sure, it indirectly supports the MPAA because Netflix purchases the DVD from them; but they get significantly less from me this way. Plus there are no screaming babies or random cell phones going off in my living room.
- MrLeEx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9lol what the author of this article doesn't realize is that Australia for Spiderman 3 came out MAY 3rd 2007. one day before USA :)
- StingerMS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Stan Lee dies at the end.
- CrackNSniff, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14dont waste your money, it wasnt worth it.
Spend the $9 on a cheap hooker. - CaptMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8@str3ama
Yeah, who wants comic movies about comics we've never read? While we're at it, let's get rid of movies based on books we've never read. So, that pretty much leaves us with Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and the Bible. Good idea!
For the record, the general population generally has no clue about something before it was a movie. This is also why everyone seems to be an expert on WWII yet they can barely name the wars that don't have thousands of movies made about them. - adamdon89, on 10/12/2007, -7/+14http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/4/2130
^The quality of this is just as good as the torrent version. - psbpv3o, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8 During my screening right before the movie started someone yelled out "dumbledore dies!!!!!", everyone laughed their asses off.
- Ramzy, on 10/12/2007, -10/+17I don't care if you're into piracy or not. But to be honest, movies like 300, or Spider-Man 3 need to be watched on the big screen in order to be appreciated.
Besides, it's like $9 to go to the movies. Don't be a cheap *****. - TheJas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6haha, in my theatre at that point someone said, "NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!" I don't know what happened in the rest of the scene because everyone was laughing over the dialouge.
- drilldown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Jean-Claude Van Damme in "Maximum Risk"
Unknown twin, separated at birth, one joins the mob in Russia, the other a winner in France. Just in case anyone wondered how I spent the night. Can't afford the movies, so I watch what most people overlook. Nice movie, plot and everything for under $17/mo.
The family experience is just shot nowadays. Movie for four, would you like to take a loan out? - schmiggyjk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9actually you are quite wrong. if you followed the scene at all you would know that in the past year or two pre releases online before a movie hits the theaters are more and more rare. someone is doing a better a job of keeping them under wraps.
now days there are very few work prints, and screeners, though the later often leak around academy time, and sometimes you may get a pre release then. and usually TS/TC/Cams come after a films release.
But they are definitely few and far between lately.
Spidey being the exception because well, it opened foreign first, in markets where early internet bootlegs stem from in the first place. So I wasnt actually surprised about this movie, but others that have a domestic release first, rarely leak before screening. - ashmael, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Seems like Digg users have a real problem with anyone showing emotion... talk about repressed.
- omnicore, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10I went and watched it at midnight last night and put down $9.50 for the privilege. It wasn't worth it, nearly every character in the movie had a crying scene. Even the sandman who's entire body IS MADE OF SAND lets out some sissy tears at the end. Spiderman is portrayed as a real sissy boy in this one.
- cryptomystic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7DIGG DOWN!!! the integrated divx player required to play the movie is a virus.
- meetthescott, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Spider-man... going the way of the Keaton Batman franchise, which begs the question: if this was Spidey's "Batman Forever," just how bad is "Batman and Robin" Spidey-style going to be?
