- iVision, on 12/03/2007, -0/+28At least you don't have to blow....
- NotThatGuy, on 12/03/2007, -2/+18The first thing I'd do with this PC is emulate a NES and play some Final Fantasy.
- zoomtechtv, on 12/03/2007, -0/+9Kevin Rose did this years ago on the Screen Savers. He did it to run all the NES games in emulation. I think he used a VIA chipset and Windows 98SE.
- MerryMortician, on 12/03/2007, -1/+10do you have to blow on the cd's to get them to read?
- kriminalintent, on 12/03/2007, -3/+10thats what she said.
- Xanaver, on 12/03/2007, -0/+7Seems to me since it is just a laptop cd drive, when you hit eject it won't come out far enough to hit the case.
- tamurlane6, on 12/03/2007, -0/+5better yet, they have a tutatorial on how to wire the controller ports so that you can use the nes controllers with an emulator. I did this a while back with a snes. it was pretty cool while it worked. had both controllers working. also took the snes mouse and put a laser mouse inside of it.
- shadowspawn, on 12/03/2007, -1/+5cable fornis. Fornit some fornus!
BTW what happens if you right-click "eject"? - thebraineater, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3can you buy it without the 10,000 controllers?
- exomni, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3Who the hell BUT hardcore gamers would spend the type of money this would go for on an online auction for a ***** Mini-ITX computer in an NES shell?
- vonskippy, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2Wow, he invented "the case" - what a freaking genius.
- spooniep, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2It's a bummer that this duplicate post got so many more Diggs than the original post:
http://digg.com/mods/Nintendo_NES_Windows_PC_Casem ... - boner79, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2it is blasphemy to butcher an NES machine like that, do it to a Sega instead. What's the matter with people.
- Negyxo, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2it was awesome then too
- devmaster, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2seen this done many times. hell ive done this with a VCR and a regular ATX mobo. burried
- Myomax65, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2625 Euros = 921.12500 U.S. dollars. No Thanks.

- Katana, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1One of the more cleaner looking nes pc mods, but is easily done with a dremel and mini/nano-itx boards these days.
- Laxaloot, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1i was about to agree but then i thought.... why would he have modded a nes to have a cd drive and motherboard ports in the back, just to set up a fake of a mod that is possible and already been done before?
- crimsonnblue, on 12/07/2007, -0/+1Collectors
- DavGerm4, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Ya I did the same thing! Though mine didn't seem to get famous like this guys!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1 ... - MonsterChaOS, on 12/03/2007, -3/+4old, but still badass... Dugg (again)
- Morph_Ball, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2"The interest is obvious: you can play any play without having to use the old women defective, cumbersome cartridges and increasingly rare to find."
Yeah, I can't stand it when they go all old lady on you like that after playing so many plays. They get so hard to find! - badassninja, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1My USB to SNES port converter works just fine.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1OLD
- daridave, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Those SNES-to-USB convertors are *****. I have two of them myselves, and with the two "fake" SNES pads that came with them, all is OK (but they feel so f'ing cheap!), however if I use them with my original SNES gamepads, the select/start buttons don't work; so, in other words, CRAP.
I also have the N64/PSX-to-usb one, very nice, but there's obviously no rumble... anyway, nice mod, I'm thinking of doing it myself... - mydave, on 07/28/2008, -0/+0if there anyone who have this PC? and what results?

http://www.trgovinca.org - exomni, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0They already did that.
- bw007, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1My friend did this a long time ago, and when he got bored with it and put it up on ebay it was taken down pretty quickly. I don't think Nintendo like people modding pc's into their consoles, no matter how old.
- STKD, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2Did the same thing myself using an EFIKA board and a cheap secondhand NES.
- skyfire1, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1I saw this back in 2000.
- djshock, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0I built one just like this a couple of years ago. Not that hard actually, except that it had a tendency to get pretty hot. Had to have a 240mm fan blowing air into it at all times, or else it would just freeze..
- hasahugedig, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0saw his ebay site. how much is 625 Euro in US dollars?
- crimsonnblue, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Problem is, low end hardware to fit in that small case... In the pictures you can see the on-board videocard. Cool but not for hardcore gamers.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2meh what is the laptop on the right side..........is it coverting it to the tv or is it really doing all the work .........I call a fake
- Enfecktion, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2now to mod some usb ports on the front so you can plug the mouse and keyboard in like they are controllers.
- renloe, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1This NES-PC mod reminds me a lot of the one I did... 4 years ago...

- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -2/+1Eww, who uses VGA these days?
- peedeeramone, on 12/03/2007, -1/+0Gotta love the freetranslation.com esq. translation on the ebay.fr website
for those who care not to navigate to it:
It is about a computer which was integrated in a case of console BORN. In spite of the specific nature of the components used it is about a genuine computer with a mother chart, a processor, a reader of DVD, an exit VGA, ports USB, etc Its characteristic is that its integration in an original case of BORN gives him a single look old school which makes of it a collector's item for any nostalgic fan of plays vidéos! It can thus be used as desktop PC (with a traditional screen of computer), but thanks to the design of the case of BORN it will be integrated also perfectly in your living room beside your TV, more especially as it comprises an exit TV and that the cable to connect it with the TV east provides! The prowess does not stop there since the ports levers of origin of BORN are always usable! Indeed, they were connected directly to the mother chart by the use of a little electronics and some weldings. Result: you can connect two levers BORN (which are include in the sale) on these ports in order to be able to play plays BORN (roms) via an emulator. The interest is obvious: you can play any play without having to use the old women defective, cumbersome cartridges and increasingly rare to find. Considering you can use the levers of origin and a TV you will not see a difference with the console original (look at video for you convincing it). Of course you can emulate roms only in agreement with the legislation of your country (in France you will be able for example to play legally homebrew, or plays of which you have the original version on your premise). The interest does not stop there, since are also included in the sale: 2 adapters USB new for new levers SNES, 2 adapters USB for N64/Playstation levers, 2 new levers SNES, 2 new N64 levers, and 2 new levers PS2. You will be able thus to also emulate plays SNES, PS1 and N64 and to play with the levers of the console. Nothing also prevents you from emulating other old consoles. You can thus make this PC a true station of plays old school to the SINGLE design! You can even make a reader of DVD/divx of it since a reader DVD is integrated into the place of the port cassettes of BORN (see photographs).
I am a fan of plays vidéos! - astrotrain, on 12/03/2007, -3/+1So this means when installing a proprietary monopolizing companies' operating system on to the PC mod, it will play the King Koopa theme?
