- cakestick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17How many times have I seen it? Oh, zero?
- exobyte, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Especially when you're a PC user and that title meant absolutely nothing.
- MrPig, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Mac fan boys UNITE!
- tracydanger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10That is a very cool mod.
When people say things like, "He's got too much time on his hands," they apparently don't appreciate having a creative outlet. I just made a couple of ipod nano cases when I could have bought one for $5. The time I spent was worth more than $5, but I enjoyed it. I like having a case that is unique and I like the creation process. What's bad about that? - thegsa, on 10/12/2007, -9/+17that's the same thing I said about your mother!!
Zing!! - sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7UPDATE: "hot cakes" sell like ipods.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7oh, don't get me wrong, I think it's amazing... I just mean that he seems to have a lot of free time on his hands... I mean, I have had ideas for cool case mods, but I just never can find the time to actually get anywhere on them... He obviously has a great deal of creativity, and the time to execute it..

haxorjoe falling out of his chair in 3..2..1..

"Ahead this how it keeps cooking, don't you think? it is the pleasure."
WTF does that mean - Pic0, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6there is a link on how he did it at the bottom... click the ??????
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Some people have a lot of time on their hands... Still, it's pretty clever and well executed..
- larley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4it's not anodized aluminum. from what i can get from the translation, it's made from resin which he painted. that simplifies things since it can bend easily when heated.
- raindogmx, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8kawaiiiiii :> :> :>
no, seriously I admire the cleanliness of the job. looks totally unmodded. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6The funny thing is, if Apple sold a functioning toaster that looked like that, they would sell like hotcakes.
NEWS ALERT: Evidently, "hot cakes" sell very well. - elroy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3japanese people LOOOOOOVE to mod those cubes! cobalt Qube's too.
- vagarach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3From the small pics the construction looks to be of superb quality.
- tupperbacharach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Here is one of the coolest cubes:

- RomeyRome, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Suck on that Shuttle....
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I have no idea how they did it, but I am speculating that it was made from scratch as oppose to having been made from an actual G5. That anodized aluminum is tough to work with. Amazing stuff, now if only they could make one that I could clip onto my change pocket, err, never mind...
- KevInTx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow what a clean mod job... that really was impressive work.
- Nicodascorpio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Thanks for allowing me the pleasure of blocking you. Do us a favor and run into a knife. Jackass!!!
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cubes are cool. That lucite Apple tissue dispenser was the ultimate.
- KyLe4812, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Try this, It lets you read it!.

- Powerdrift, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Isn't there a case you can buy like this?
- chiefchad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1awesome job. 2 thumbs up.
- mooseboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Apple needs to make one of these. Seriously.. a mac desktop machine that has a 3.5" hard drive and a normal PCI-E video card, that costs less than $2500 I will snap up in a heartbeat.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wanna hear a joke?
What do find when you look up dumbass in the dictionary? TheChops and affanjam! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1---
- Saiing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1With respect, it did take him over 3 weeks, so if he put in an hour or so a day, it would represent plenty of cumulative time. It doesn't necessarily hold that he has a lot of free time (I live in Japan - it's one of the busiest, most workaholic cultures in the world). I would bet that most people spend considerably more than an hour a day just watching TV. Maybe he just chose to spend his time more creatively.
- FHKE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://monphoto.hp.infoseek.co.jp/andcube/andcube-e.html
Just let you guys know there is a Japanese selling Power Mac-like METAL case for G4 Cube. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I mean the casing, you *****
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why!?
- HsoKinees, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1help.. i don't see a floppy drive :P
- marlintehrani, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cubes are offspring of the Borg. the most efficient shape but also the one with least pizazz.
- smb3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I Imaging he had some sort of CNC machine to drill out all those holes. Or a really steady hand.
- FHKE, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2SUGOI!
This mod is very neat! - Kilraq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*Chuckles* Wow, this just takes Apple Pro envy to a WHOLE new level. *Chuckles*
Its a neat mod though. Very unique and it definetly looks "tote"able. Seems like a cool idea. Hope he can market it. - n00bst3r, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5Good work, but too bad he chose to replicate the cheese grater.
- Kiljoy001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I Digg...
- diulei, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Both this and the Mac Mini Cube mod - beautiful and impressive.
- lare911, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2This is a very cool mod. Apple should do it. If they used the intel chips I would buy one!
- marlintehrani, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yes Comacrad?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2If he made that from scratch, I'll fall out of my chair
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Ummm yeah. Thanks for the tip Capt. Obvious! The G5s made by a large computer company called Apple were made from anodized aluminum, which would have been extremely difficult to cut down and reassemble into a smaller version. Hence, I concluded that it was not made from an actual G5. Dumbed down enough for ya?
