- Conwaysb0718, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Just show me how to get them damn watermarks off the miss nevada pics.
- bornhj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"Option A [Best] - If you have access to the original Word documents or Excel Spreadsheets that were used for creating the Watermarked PDF, create a new PDF file minus the watermark using any of these free PDF tools or Google Docs."
I would never have thought of that. - Conwaysb0718, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7wtf?
- cpemma, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5"1st: Who has this problem?"
Me, on the Canon manual for my camera downloaded from the Canon site. God knows why they put a massive mid-grey "COPY" across every page, maybe to persuade me to spend 10% of the camera price on a new paper manual.
"2nd: If you do... you are stealing..."
I see it as correcting Canon's stupidity. I've a lot of pdf hard- & software manuals, theirs is the only watermarked one I've come across.
One catch with the Zamzar system is they intend selling your address to spammers (there's no free lunch). Use a throwaway if it bothers you. - CBorah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I did this just yesterday.First I downloaded the pdf, then I opened the pdf in illustrator, selected the text, hit delete, and then re saved as a pdf. Couldn't have been easier.
- Vinthian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3lame... i see no use for this :/. watermarks usually on images.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Adobe Reader lets you copy text.
- neofactor, on 10/12/2007, -7/+9This is LAME! These are ALL Obvious "work a rounds"!!!
1st: Who has this problem?
2nd: If you do... you are stealing...
3rd: If it was your initally and you are trying to revert to a simpler time when you did not add watermark... F-You for losing the original.
How did it make it to the homepage? - gwalbridge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@raz3000 -- Apple's Preview application lets you highlight text in PDF files. Much faster. I don't know about any apps that do this in Windows, but it's worth checking out if, for some reason, a "text PDF" of yours has a watermark.
- borninda818, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've only had to do this once and I used photoshop...Came out pretty good, but it took about 10 minutes.
- tsmithkc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2For Windows, try Foxit reader. I like it much better than Acrobat, since it is less than 4 MB installed, and loads almost instantly, rather than taking an eternity to load modules first like Acrobat does. It is also much more relaxed about security "features" in general.
- Veritas77, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Several solutions my kid could come up with surrounded by ads? Damn spammers.
- Mesach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you have a small one, or are really determined to remove them from larger ones...
Adobe Illustrator, It will open pages of PDF's individually, then you can remove the watermark by selecting the outline or the text layer, and then just save them in page numbers, create a new PDF and import the pages back in.
Its a common misconception that PDF's are unchangeable when they are in pdf form. In Illustrator you can do alot to it. - Thex1138, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1bloody spam add for zamzar web site..probably a fake blogg too
- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Lame!
- BryanUT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Option A forgot to mention iText (lowagie.com).
We use this program to create PDFs from scratch and populate data fields in existing PDFs all the time.
Oh yeah, it's a Java library and we all know java is dead. /sarcasm - JeffLebowski, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Hey i have an idea, go buy acrobat pro you cheap bastards!
- vornan19, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Sometime you can do this by using Xpdf or such under Linux.
Linux uber alles! - raz3000, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1If you only want the text of the file, you could just retype it yourself in a new document. Of course this is a cumbersome task, but it's nice to have options.
- starsky51, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1why the hell did you open up this article, then? -1 redundant
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -19/+0Where's the guide to removing cumstains from pedophiles. I gave a child molestor a bath today. Where has my career gone?
