- kromix, on 06/24/2009, -3/+26Dugg down for "Hacking"
- jeremymccurdy, on 06/24/2009, -0/+19I added pepper to my supper tonight, which is to say I totally hacked it. Same goes for when I sewed a button back onto my shirt, hacked it. Oh, and that time I ran out of toilet paper and had to use kleenex, hacked.
- Garofoli, on 06/24/2009, -1/+20It's called burying.
- SoCalDissident, on 06/24/2009, -0/+16please download some punctuation.
- flash_jordan, on 06/24/2009, -1/+14Why don't nanos ever get any hacking love? :(
- DontEatTheFish, on 06/24/2009, -2/+13*The above comment is intended for iPod touch or iPhone users only.
also note: Crackulous can only crack apps that you pay for, the program you want to look for is called Installulous. Get this by adding "http://cydia.hackulo.us" to your sources in Cydia. - krwlngindark, on 06/24/2009, -4/+15*insert comment by pirate about how he/she doesn't give a *****.*
- cheddaro, on 06/24/2009, -0/+10Is putting games on your iPod really what passes for "hacking" these days?
- kufu91, on 06/24/2009, -1/+10I'm extremely interested in science and programming, so your comment about the police and ipod games is very appreciated 123bucklemyshoe. thanks for commenting on this article.
- AirRaven, on 06/24/2009, -1/+10I'll have it?
- krwlngindark, on 06/24/2009, -5/+14*insert comment by developer about how he/she needs to make a living*
- ikickass, on 06/24/2009, -0/+7Let me guess, you don't download music for the same reasons...
- ikickass, on 06/24/2009, -0/+7I'm not supporting what you said, I actually dugg you down
- yournightmare, on 06/24/2009, -0/+5Dugg down for burying.
- cheddaro, on 06/24/2009, -0/+5You should write up some of these radical ideas and present them at Defcon!
- inactive, on 06/24/2009, -0/+4Whatever happened to your interest in science and programming?
Dugg for epic trollmeister. - Gnar04, on 06/24/2009, -0/+2maybe in your country....
- mohsenxp, on 06/24/2009, -1/+3Click on article - realise it's for older gen iPods - come here - write something RELEVANT.
- DontEatTheFish, on 06/24/2009, -2/+4The first generation was pretty much a primary device for iPod Linux.
I will assume you have a newer generation... - Fhwqhgads, on 06/24/2009, -0/+2BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
- djstrat, on 06/24/2009, -3/+5And I don't care about this anymore since I use my touch
- zachstanley, on 06/24/2009, -0/+2Sadly useless for those of us with newer (read:Post-Fall '07) iPods, but I guess that's the cost of loving new technology. :(
- zachstanley, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1Ah, but it wasn't a whim! I had been saving up and waiting specifically for this generation.
- mohsenxp, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1You shouldn't lose your apps, if you've set them up to be sync-able with iTunes they will still be there, they just won't work until you jailbroken again.
There's no need to redownload them. - DontEatTheFish, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1just to point out, to run Linux and Rockbox on your ipod you need to use an exploit. I mean you are runing an alternative OS on your iPod, perhaps you didn't know that the article is saying that you are installing the full Linux kernel onto your iPod.
but no, the user who runs the "Installer" isn't hacking, all the work has been done for them. - ultrafez, on 06/25/2009, -1/+2Not all of us can upgrade their iPod/phone on a whim. I've got an iPod Video so I'm quite happy that there is an article that caters to us users that *don't* have the latest tech!
- Travelsonic, on 06/24/2009, -0/+1What a factually erroneous statement, 123.
- Vliger2002, on 06/25/2009, -1/+1At least it's not an iPod shuffle. You'd have to download some kind game where you just listen to sounds...oh that's right! It's called music! But seriously...RockBox and iPod Linux were the best for the iPods until the newer generations started rolling in like hotcakes. Every year, there's another great, yet somehow disappointing product released by apple.
- finalcloud33, on 06/24/2009, -3/+3i rather enjoy my 160 gig... tons of music that it portable and instant
- HHUK, on 06/25/2009, -2/+2Buried for inappropriate use of "hacking".
- inactive, on 06/24/2009, -6/+5Jailbreak + Crackulous = free game heaven.
- toastjam, on 06/24/2009, -3/+2Why not just get a G1?
*ducks* - LedZepAddict, on 06/24/2009, -5/+4I hate my iPod Classic =[
- iPerphekt, on 06/25/2009, -3/+2Buried because it's not for nanos, and they didn't say how to do it on a Mac.
- Giac, on 06/24/2009, -6/+5Installous:)
- inactive, on 06/24/2009, -4/+1Well played sir. I meant Installous... I lost all my jailbreak apps after upgrading recently and haven't reinstalled since re-jailbreaking.
- 123bucklemyshoe, on 06/24/2009, -10/+1Right if you download music the police also will find you eventually plus if you think about it it's illegal. Thanks for the comment!
- 123bucklemyshoe, on 06/24/2009, -24/+6If you do this just know that you will get caught by the police the police have cracked down on hackers and it's not even legal by the way. Secondly the reason this is a bad idea is because iPods have all the games you can think of anyway you just have to search for them and if you haven't found the one you like submit a customer support e-mail and sometimes they take requests for new features and you could even request a game there but don't I repeat don't download free games just because they're free because eventually you'll get caught by the police it's just a matter of when basically.
