- newsmonster, on 09/25/2009, -0/+321That would make me wake up 5 minutes before it was due to go off just so I wouldn't have to hear it.
- doctechnical, on 09/25/2009, -0/+202If these horns are as loud as he claims then this design is self defeating, as it will make him deaf over time.
Solution: Only feed the cat upon waking up in the morning. If it knows that it's not getting food until your lazy ass is out of bed, the cat WILL wake you. - ijollyman, on 09/26/2009, -10/+167Dugg for 4:20 at the end.
- marmotjmarmot, on 09/25/2009, -0/+132I would have to change the sheets every day from crapping/pissing the bed every morning.
- Praystation, on 09/26/2009, -0/+105HONK HONK HONK

"Good mornin"
"WHAT?!! DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?" - freezerburn666, on 09/26/2009, -9/+87that's not true.
- Feraldr00d, on 09/26/2009, -0/+76I have to do that anyways.
- wjappe, on 09/25/2009, -3/+74My brother and my son could use one of these, my brother can sleep through a artillery barrage, literally.
- marcb83, on 09/26/2009, -5/+69Dugg for 420 wake up
- metik, on 09/26/2009, -0/+56http://www.mathlete.com/portfolio/wakeNbacon.php
- Prodigal19, on 09/26/2009, -5/+52Instead of a figurative artillery barrage?
- Gibletoid, on 09/26/2009, -6/+53When I saw the 4:19 alarm clock pic, I knew what was next....
<passes to the left...> - inactive, on 09/25/2009, -0/+46I hate alarm clocks. Ever since I was a kid, I've been pretty good about waking up at the first change in noise (alarm, someone opening my door). When I would sleep through my alarm, I would start having this dream where my alarm clock is in my dream going off and I'm smashing it with a hammer trying to get it to turn off, as its going off in real life..
- Genecalypse, on 09/26/2009, -1/+47I'm still waiting for an alarm clock that gives out the smell of bacon and eggs.
- b0wl0fud0n, on 09/26/2009, -0/+40I have that problem now! With my current alarm clock, I can actually wake up to the really slight click sound that the speakers make as the speakers power up and turn the clock off before the alarm sounds and then fall right back to sleep.
- omae, on 09/26/2009, -1/+39anyone else lower the sound of the video thinking he would prove that it was 140 decibels?
- Sloi, on 09/26/2009, -4/+39140 Decibels... way to go and give yourself hearing damage, morons.
- ChiffX, on 09/26/2009, -0/+31So one might say you laughed out loud?
- Tomoir, on 09/26/2009, -0/+30He sounds like the guy from one of those instructional VHS tapes that came with those remote control Air Hogs that told you not to fly it directly at your grandma.
- ParticleMan420, on 09/26/2009, -5/+33are you telling me that you used your ability to predict the future to divine that 4:20 comes after 4:19?!
- arthursk, on 09/26/2009, -2/+30yeah, I read that on gizmodo and it didn't get funnier after you pasted it here..
- spartan24018, on 09/26/2009, -7/+34an*
- matticusf1nch, on 09/26/2009, -4/+30Is it just me, or was that guy's voice really annoying?
- MadOgre, on 09/26/2009, -0/+26If you've spent time in the Army, yes, literally.
- casualgod, on 09/26/2009, -14/+38Its always 4:20 somewhere.
- cjlesiw, on 09/26/2009, -0/+24If only there were a way to express such a thing on the Internet!
- Soniti, on 09/26/2009, -0/+24This actually got an audible laugh from me.
- Schmich, on 09/26/2009, -0/+22You mean a wife?
- Feraldr00d, on 09/26/2009, -1/+23I'm not an adult, I'm just 18. =/
- freezerburn666, on 09/26/2009, -1/+21my friend could use this, when we were roommates he used his PC as an alarm clock hooked up to his amplifier to play his playlist so loud it shook the walls and neighbors would complain, but he would sleep through it for several hours, literally i'd come home from an 8 hr shift and it would still be rocking the house with metal music.... with him sound asleep
- mrgreenjeans, on 09/26/2009, -0/+19Why is that not front page?
- badqat, on 09/25/2009, -1/+19I hate to think I've made due with my iPhones and Blackberries...
- vsujohn2, on 09/26/2009, -1/+19I think thats the point
- BleedingExample, on 09/26/2009, -0/+17a little complicated... my 10 conventional alarms syncronized in 20 second intervals scattered across my entire bedrrom work just fine.
- shamesh, on 09/25/2009, -7/+24I hate you loud ass alarm clock. Cool hack, but if I had to wake up to this thing I would tear my ears out. Have a listen
while he was at it he could have at least made the snooze… - Andrwmorph, on 09/26/2009, -0/+15As somebody who works in an audiology practice I would like to encourage the use of this alarm clock.
MORE PATIENTS FOR US HAHAHA! - iamheero1, on 09/26/2009, -1/+16I dugg you because I'm tired and the thought of adult bedwetting made me go "heheh".
- Atario, on 09/26/2009, -0/+13I sometimes get in this weird mode where I'm not awake enough to realize I just need to press button X to make it stop, and I keep thinking the clock is some much more complex device that I have to decode. Sometimes I don't even connect that sound I'm hearing with the clock making it.
- AngryDeuce, on 09/25/2009, -0/+13While I'm the type of person that wakes up before the alarm every day (FML) my brother could use something like this. You gotta hit him with a ***** boot to get him out of bed most days.

140 db is threshold of pain
85 db is potentially damaging over long periods of time
workers can not be exposed to 110+ db for longer than an hour per day. - borez, on 09/26/2009, -0/+11140db?
Well considering you'd have trouble getting anywhere near that from a 30K turbosound nightclub rig, I liked to see that actually measured. - DrLeePhD, on 09/26/2009, -0/+10I hooked one up at your house for 530am tomorrow. sucks to be your balls.
- gALEXy, on 09/26/2009, -1/+10it did if you don't visit gizmodo / read their comments
- ParticleMan420, on 09/26/2009, -0/+9dont vote him down for that, i bet that ***** was loud

"Helen Keller can hear this horn!" - Psythik, on 09/26/2009, -0/+8Thanks for sharing.
- piieerrrree, on 09/26/2009, -0/+7I had an alarm clock which made me do that when I was young. It gave me nightmares :(
- bobdigi, on 09/26/2009, -0/+7Déjà Vu
- spriggig, on 09/26/2009, -0/+6Protip: marry someone who agrees with your sleep preferences. Looks fade but morning people are insufferable their entire lives.
- BleedingExample, on 09/26/2009, -1/+7Dugg for great observation
