- twiztidsinz, on 11/16/2008, -2/+113Apparently "minimalist" doesn't apply to clocks... I count three of them.
- defectDS, on 11/16/2008, -2/+103WTF. 3 clocks, 2 weather stats, 2 cpu and computer stats, 2 music players, and a to-do list? Ah yes, minimalist indeed.

- Steeple, on 11/16/2008, -1/+20it's beautiful, but i haven't seen my desktop in weeks!

- killerknives, on 11/16/2008, -7/+21now how exactly can I make my mac this super awesome?
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -4/+18I don't know which to digg up or down, so I'm just not going to touch either comment.
- izzysosa, on 11/16/2008, -3/+16The link to the dropbox .zip results in a 404. Would you please fix it?
- mcosmi, on 11/16/2008, -10/+23by buying a pc.
- Seaseme, on 11/16/2008, -3/+12This works with Windows XP? Or just Vista?
- mcosmi, on 11/16/2008, -4/+12yea, only 98% of the world user-base.
- Feep, on 11/17/2008, -0/+6This picture shows off both the "taskbar" theme and the "sidebar" theme. Only one of them is meant to be used. As for the analog clock on the upper left corner, well, it just looks awesome, so I'm cool with that.
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -1/+7That link is dead

(It has been re-posted on lifehacker) - freakstyle571, on 11/16/2008, -1/+7thank you Val Kilmer.
- Wargasmic, on 11/16/2008, -0/+5This guy wins.
- FriedTurkey, on 11/16/2008, -1/+6My roommate had an Engima desktop in 1994. He would play that techno with Gothic choir crap all the time. He probably now just listens to the Halo soundtrack.
- mamboboy, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4Not sure about Vista but in XP you right click the windows taskbar > properties > tick hide inactive icons > click properties, and then select to 'always hide' rainmeter :)
- bipolarruledout, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4I have more then enough enigmas in my life without putting one on my desktop.
- Pete7872, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4Do these custom desktops have a large memory load? I think it would be sweet but I don't want my comp chugging along just so it looks cool
- synergye, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4You described one of my old coworkers perfectly!
- AWBoy666, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4Sweet. Thanks!

as posted by kaeleri in the comments, its also in the zip (which seems to be working again, if somewhat slowly - MaLLiii, on 11/16/2008, -1/+4im preeeetty sure this is for xp
- Rockkybox, on 11/16/2008, -1/+4Maybe i'm the only one, but the multiple desktop thing has me completely flummoxed, what is the point of having one desktop with firefox, one empty, and one with wall-e gracelessly wheeling about? We've got multiple windows, and unless your running two operating systems side by side, what advantage is there to more than one desktop?
- jakswa, on 11/16/2008, -1/+4That's like asking "What's the point of the windows taskbar, if you only have one application minimised to it?" Being able to organise your desktop space better is of course the main reason. Some people prefer to keep their fingers at the keyboard, or work faster by not having to constantly minimise, maximise, and unbury windows, especially if there's alot of them.... by having multiple desktops, you can have more windows maximised, in visible space, and only a keyboard shortcut away.
Maybe that's not so useful to you, but it is to some. - mamboboy, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3sorry, customize...not properties :)
- dignews, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3I havnt got a clue how to get it to work
- mytCbumps, on 11/17/2008, -3/+6Last time I heard, Mac users were the "*****".
- nubnub, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3Is there a way to hide the Rainmeter icon in the system tray?
- Finalreminder, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3Christ it looks complicated. Thought it'd be a like Windowblinds - click & go
- liquisoft, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2The thing with so many Windows desktop replacements/customizations/skins is that they look beautiful but only when you don't try to use them.
So many of them fail upon interaction. For example, right-clicking on things or opening new windows, in many cases, will ruin the whole experience. This looks like it might be one of those scenarios. - nobeatnokill, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2How the hell do i get this to work
- amishjim, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2isn't KEVIN BACON the next answer. . . .
- chaseincats, on 11/16/2008, -1/+3I tried both links but I cannot get the file pack has anyone else had any luck?
- Cupantae, on 11/16/2008, -1/+3Seriously, GTFO. If people want to use Linux they will. That won't make Windows any better looking.
- bigbangbuddha, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2Looks like KDE.
- DarkoKun, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2idk what to do...
- zonovo, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2reminds me the days of customizing my Windows XP.
- Cupantae, on 11/17/2008, -1/+3@jakswa: I use Arch Linux exclusively. I'm sick of people giving Linux users a bad name by saying this kind of thing where it's completely irrelevant.
- Rockkybox, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2Fair enough
- FiReSe7eN, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2So true. Why bother customizing your desktop if 99% of the time windows are blocking the view you've spent hours configuring. The best desktop is black with no icons.
- dacheetah, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2Your thanks should be to all the Digg users that killed the links in what is much like a DDOS attack.
- ethana2, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2I did that for a while, I still try to keep it mostly icon-free...
Now it's an abstract picture of an ibex. It's okay. *shrug* - ShoeSh1ne, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2No, they don't actually. Running one now. Of course, the more ***** you have, it might make a difference. I've got a XP theme, Rainmeter with 4 modules, and Rocketdock.
