videos.techreads.com — They're listed alphabetically. Click all artists to view them all, and then hold control + F if you want to search. I've been using it at school for a while, thought I'd share the wealth :D

  • boojoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Hmm. A lot of the ones I came across were low quality videos of live performances of the songs listed, or covers by people sitting at home. This would be sweet if they went through and made sure all the videos were legit.
    • Techreads, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If you find any that have people playing the guitar or something to a song, report it as broken. I'll go pick through them and find a better quality when there is a good list of reported ones.

    • ddcrandall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah. I haven't come across a single music video so far. I came across three or four live videos and then a recap of a season of Buffy set to a song.
    • BiDi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Try to make a parser that searches the YouTube for the video artist-name and returns only the links instead. Then people may vote for the best version of the video and then weigh the result order by the number of "this is the best one" ratings (kind of "I'm feeling lucky" search in Google).

      This way you will create a self updating site that is based on community ratings. Much better in the long run than one site with 90% of dead links and the rest pointing to crap content.

      I know when people post links, it looks like spam. This isn't spam.

      I'm just simply saying that watching music videos on a music video code website is better than this website. I provided some example websites to prove my point.

    Tried Led Zeppelin; all 3 tracks I tried were unavailable.
    Then I tried Robert Johnson; both tracks I tried were unavailable.
    Yes, I reported them. Maybe, when enough people report them, they'll be removed.
    I had much more success with the Top 500 Riffs compilation.

    a futile attempt at cataloging these videos, as a majority of them will all be taken down soon enough for obvious reasons.
