- drunkmuppet, on 10/31/2008, -3/+128. Get Privoxy because there is no ad-block for Chrome

- sifuchar, on 10/31/2008, -2/+10Is it irony to make simple grammar mistakes while insulting someone's intelligence?

You are retarded.
You + are = Youare = turn the 'a' into an apostrophe = You're

Your bicycle.
Possessive. When you possess something. You possess your bicycle. It is your bicycle. - inactive, on 10/31/2008, -0/+7Simplicity, load speed, JavaScript execution speed (unless using FF 3.1 w/JIT enabled), tab isolation, security to a name a few. Chrome + AdMuncher makes for a refreshing browsing experience. It's like the difference between a F1 car and a Lexus. The F1 car has less toys but Lexus weighs three times as much.
- jamesdew, on 10/31/2008, -1/+7Was that a question? If so, yes me.
- jamesdew, on 10/31/2008, -2/+7slow? Wtf ?
- specialK16, on 10/31/2008, -1/+5Don't hold your breath, or you will asphyxiate.
- inactive, on 10/31/2008, -0/+4I like the KISS (keep it simple stupid) method used with Chrome (though I use Chromium, less privacy issues to worry about and frequent updates). If all you care about is browsing the web without carrying around a lot of extra weight Chrome is fantastic. Double-click the Chrome icon and two seconds later you are already browsing. It feels like a well-used tool.
Latest Chromium builds pass Acid3!
People complain about the lack of adblock, just get a copy of Privoxy or spring for AdMuncher (which works far better than adblock anyway). - evildemonic, on 10/31/2008, -0/+4woooosh...
- Ub3rg33k, on 10/31/2008, -0/+3Google fixed their licensing agreement and its quite liberal now.
- uninspireded, on 10/31/2008, -0/+3I use Chrome sometimes on my slow laptop, it seems to have better performance than Firefox when dealing with multiple tabs.
- inactive, on 10/31/2008, -3/+6no addons... i will continue to not care about chrome and continue to use firefox.
- Conwaysb0718, on 10/31/2008, -1/+4thumbnail reminds me of simon.

- Zalyster, on 10/31/2008, -0/+3Well maybe running native Windows Chrome in Windows itself would be a bit faster? Just a thought...
- chewbacca77, on 10/31/2008, -0/+3Till beta is over? Isn't Gmail technically still in beta?
- lornefs, on 10/31/2008, -1/+4The glib response: Uninstall Endpoint and install free anti-virus and firewall.
Norton stuff is bloated crap. - bbqsalad, on 10/31/2008, -0/+2I also use it, tho I still have Firefox installed. Chrome is just nicer to use imo, and definitely faster. I still love Firefox but once Chrome has plugin support, bye bye firefox.
- bbqsalad, on 10/31/2008, -1/+3What bugs are you talking about?
- WhiteHamster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+2Why is borsaid being buried? Its a fact
- freezerburn666, on 10/31/2008, -2/+4i tried crossover chromium on ubuntu 8.04... it was really slow, it didn't do it any justice at all, firefox ran much faster...
- inactive, on 10/31/2008, -3/+5Yes something about the whole Google Ads thing where they make gazillions of dollars from advertising revenue and wouldn't want to block ads. Dammit!
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1what about Google Chrome Themes ;
http://www.freechromethemes.com - krazedkaoz, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1soon as it supports add-ons i might switch. it seemed faster than ff3.
- nem3sis, on 11/01/2008, -1/+2why would a sane, experienced internet user go online with anything other then firefox or opera is beyond me. there is absolutely NOTHING chrome or IE could do better or more comfortable then firefox. i dont even want to start about customizing the browser of your choice for your needs.
seriously. what could make someone even consider these sorry excuses for a browser? sure, i have them all installed on my system. to test my websites. and even that i could do within firefox.
crazy. really. crazy. no reason to use this crap for daily business. no reason at all....
/me shakes his head in disbelieve - nads, on 10/31/2008, -7/+8Disagree with that. Soon as Chrome implements addons - allowing great addons similar to Adblock plus and Foxmarks then usage will go up again.
This is the first product that Google has developed inhouse since its search engine that will be a huge success. - ffww, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1or maybe never use it ever ...in the case of gmail for me
- CharlesSaint, on 10/31/2008, -1/+2How about full screen support for those of us working on UMPC's?
- Troy64, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Honest question no sarcasm, why? What makes it better than Firefox.
- Bizarrkley, on 10/31/2008, -2/+3That was an incredibly weak list. Not to mention they cited Lifehacker several times so why not just go there?
- InJectaH, on 10/31/2008, -1/+2I'm not gonna criticize Chrome yest since it's still in beta testing. So in the meantime, I'm just gonna stick to Firefox and hold off on Chrome till beta is over.
- borsaid, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1yes
- nads, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1I swear I thought about all the Google products in my head and not once did I think of Maps or Mail (doh)... so sorry I do mean *fourth*.
Earth is meh and Android si too early to tell - they could still make a hash out of it. - scarwars, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Earth?
- WhiteHamster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1Chrome is sooo much faster, and you can really tell after a while, and i like how by default it gives you such a big screen.
- thefinger, on 11/02/2008, -0/+1Yeessh..... how sad.
- bbqsalad, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1My friend says the same thing about the hard drive always grinding while using Chrome, I don't have this problem at all. What the heck is causing it?
- revolve, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Android?
- JPOnion, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1I ran into this, too, but I'm not having any issues with the new build.
- WhiteHamster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1I use both, Chrome noticeably faster for me for everything i use it for, however, firefox is better for facebook (for some reason) and pdf browsing online (again, don't know).
- WhiteHamster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1AVG is the answer
- bigbadboston, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Quisp?
Oh wait. - WhiteHamster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1I've never had a problem with any of the google sites especially
- WhiteHamster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1Crossover Chromium is a proof of concept mainly, its not supposed to be representative of the final product at all, wait for the native version, Chrome is much faster than FF on all my machines, doesn't mean i don't use both though.
