- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -4/+54Can they get you laid?
- nebkiwi, on 11/08/2008, -2/+36Sometimes I flush the toilet before I do anything and try and beat the toilet to finishing.
- rivalius13, on 11/08/2008, -0/+28That's coming in 3.1
- searcade, on 11/08/2008, -7/+34Except run crysis
- charliwag, on 11/08/2008, -0/+21"FastDic extension provides a fast way to look up word in dictionary. "
Unfortunate name, yeah? - redslash, on 11/08/2008, -1/+22This is, I kid you not, the nine thousandth article about "the top X firefox add-ons!" And it's funny how 25+ of them are the same every time.
Seriously, can we move on as a nation now? - Okinsley, on 11/08/2008, -2/+23wow i dont give a flying mooses ass abotu blogging.
what do they think we stay on the computer all day and blog? blog about WHAT? - inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+19I tried saying "wanna see my Firefox extension?" to a girl at a bar, I can tell you the answer is both "no" and "get the ***** away from me you greasy pervert"
- Kajarago, on 11/08/2008, -0/+16I thought i was the only one!
- Kajarago, on 11/08/2008, -0/+136/7 of those addons are completely useless.
- jollyc, on 11/08/2008, -0/+11Yes, we can!
- Me1000, on 11/08/2008, -1/+10Great comment, thanks!
- zenithmbr, on 11/08/2008, -1/+10a lot of ***** add-ons that will really bloat mozilla and make it slow as balls. here's what you really need:
1.) add-block plus
2.) urlbarext - adds buttons for tinyurl, copy link, search site, find root site, tag favs, bookmark...
3.) fission - progress bar in address bar, so you can collapse your status bar
4.) gmail notifier
5.) customize google - removes ads, points directly to pics on image search, etc
6.) show go - if you're anal about having a 'go' button like me
7.) anycolor is a sweet program for customizing the colors of your skin - chewy5000, on 11/08/2008, -0/+8WILL it blend. You ruined it!
- Jaime2000, on 11/08/2008, -0/+7Because it doesn't need to be - everybody with an ounce of sense already has it.
- S5S5S5, on 11/08/2008, -0/+6NoScript? Hello?
- CGA1, on 11/08/2008, -0/+6Tried it for a week, drove me nuts.
- AdenFraser, on 11/07/2008, -5/+11I have to say, i have used Twitter Bar and loved it, though havn't currrently got it installed.. i should..
Also used the adsense notifier, helpful.. but adsense blacklisted my main site.. so thats down the drain..
Good article anyway.. Niiiiccccee :D - keyboardduder, on 11/08/2008, -8/+14But can it blend?
- Culero, on 11/08/2008, -1/+7or the ABP Element Removal thingie number 2?
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+6Yes, I was stunned. Dugg for having all 30 on one page, instead of 5 over six pages.
- ak4444, on 11/08/2008, -0/+6To be fair that's more like one answer if she says "Get the ***** away from me you greasy pervert" the no is implied.
- Styvo, on 11/08/2008, -1/+7dude that is STILL funny!
ass - phoenixkiula, on 11/08/2008, -0/+5NoScript is useless. What's the point of blacklisting everything unless you whitelist? AdBlock Plus does the same and more. Especially with the automatically updated filters. NoScript is too "baby with the bathwater" for me.
- jollyc, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4Great enthusiasm, thanks!
- MakanGuru, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4image shack = porn page surfer
- diggitydoc, on 11/08/2008, -1/+5now that, sir or madam, is change i can believe in!
- annjay, on 11/07/2008, -3/+7No doubt the list is great and useful too.
- FadieZ, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4...FastDic? Really? Why didn't they just call it something normal like quicktionary
- l33tforlif3, on 11/08/2008, -5/+9dude, you got problems
- yurimxpxman, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4Agreed. We see the same crap on the front page every day about Firefox extensions. It's time for some original material!
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3Yeah... QuickDic was already taken.
- TheNewsReel, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3Thanks.
I will use these to conquer the interweb. - jenrique7, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3Too bad they did not mention Fire.fm. It lets you listen to music streamed from Last.fm directly from Firefox.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/768 ... - lemur, on 11/08/2008, -1/+4A lot of these addons are amusing or might be fun, but most of them aren't very useful. Probably the one must-have addon on the list is Adblock Plus. Here is my own list of extensions I install:
* Flagfox (useful, non-essential)
* NoScript (incredibly useful; don't surf without it)
* Adblock Plus (extra useful)
* ChatZilla (one of those "neat" addons that's actually a feature rich utility)
* PrayerTimes from praytime.info (very useful if you are Muslim) - S5S5S5, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3The point of NoScript is that you're not exposed to bad stuff on the net. Try it for a week, you'll never go back.
- kenvsryu, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3haha load up all those toolbars please.
- ammi, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3About how you spent your day blogging.
- tr0j, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Love the "... Just About ..." as an escape clause, in case someone was hoping to use FF to make a fusion reactor, WMD, black-hole collapser, space elevator, functional UN, etc.
- phoenixkiula, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Adblock Plus is what you had meant, not "add-block".
UrlBarExt would be useful if it allowed snipurl.com instead of the fugly tinyurl.
What the heck do you need Fission etc for? ShowGo and AnyColor are silly.
Customize Google, BetterGmail2, BetterGReader are nice. Notifier is better had as the download from Google itself. - inactive, on 11/08/2008, -2/+4when i saw that there was 30 of them i had low expectations of it all being on one page. but thank you for proving me wrong.
and here is another good one. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/847 ... - wolfshawk, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Yes this is why I am using Opera. I like the spped dial though, got it set to the sites that I always check every day.
- Doomsan, on 11/08/2008, -1/+3Where's BTP?
- courtarro, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Pretty much everything is just about anything.
- steviesteveo, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Spam link, comment buried
- giogalindo, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2that first one is pretty cool.
- Plant11, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Mr. nebkiwi, I like the way you think.
- qbthemc, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2LMAO@ a facebook extension. "The world is coming to an end".
