- warrior007, on 05/20/2008, -1/+4when i visited your profile i saw you commented "dugg it! :)" for some articles . Here we have to comment about the article
- JavertHolmes, on 05/20/2008, -2/+6Replied to someone's "dugg it! :)" comment! :)
- JavertHolmes, on 05/20/2008, -1/+3Initiated a pre-emptive "C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!" in response to a "Replied to someone's 'dugg it! :)' comment! :)!" :)
- ultrafez, on 05/20/2008, -1/+3C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!
- rjhomuth, on 05/20/2008, -2/+34Google will soon already know my schedule, without me telling it.
- DaviDTC, on 05/20/2008, -0/+3You must be doing something wrong cause Google already knows all.

- micropizzle, on 05/20/2008, -2/+17These are basic features...
- BobMysterioso, on 05/20/2008, -0/+3Calendar SMS isn't that basic. Darn handy though.
- jeffwmartin, on 05/20/2008, -0/+2Yea, I've been using GCal for a while now and either use or know about everything listed. It seemed more like an article to attract new users rather than teach us old dogs new tricks.
- rjpaulisick, on 05/20/2008, -6/+19Buried for not being listed on one page (and the ***** up next page buttons...)
- randomguy132, on 05/20/2008, -1/+1Yeah, that part does annoy me....
- GaryChalmers, on 05/20/2008, -0/+4All on one page:

- santaliqueur, on 05/20/2008, -3/+1And every comment above me. Just me huh?

- JaZz0r, on 05/20/2008, -0/+14Google Sync will sync your calendar with your Blackberry. Very useful!
http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/index.html- willbb123, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1they need to make one for the Palms. I live off the calender on my treo. It would be amazing to have a backup, because I dont sync too often.
- egossett, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1 am not able to get the google calendar to sync with my blackberry curve. what is the problem there?. The google calendar download installed successfully to the curve. But does not update?
- 247365, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1I agree, the google Synce feature has saved me.
Since the Blackberry application won't work on Vista, I've started using Google Calender, Syncing it with outlook on my desktop (vista) and my laptop (XP).
BANG!!! - Thery're all in synce. Google Rocks!
- bassman626, on 05/20/2008, -8/+3Meh, nothing new, I've been using "Gcal" (as he calls it) for over a year now, I figured most of it out on my own. However, still dugg because Google Calendar is a great app.
- seandfeeney, on 05/20/2008, -1/+5Nothing I didn't already know, dugg because it is still a good noob reference.
- chanop, on 05/20/2008, -2/+4you pwn those noobs! you pwn them hard
- 11up, on 05/20/2008, -3/+3I wasn't expecting much, but this was honestly a really well-written and useful article, especially since I just started using Google Calendar as a web-based alternative to iCal a few days ago.
- qumiku, on 05/20/2008, -0/+12Too bad i dont have anything important to remember...
- mysticfeline, on 05/20/2008, -12/+2My contribution to why I hate digg, since everybody's doing it:
It's a bunch of computer nerds who think they know what they're talking about because they're on Digg, but can't figure out basic things like Google Calendar without the help of PCWorld.
Please. - LoudMusic, on 05/20/2008, -1/+42I was expecting something neat, but this appears to just be a tutorial on how to use Calendar. That's lame.
- Shots, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1I had higher expectations for things I read on the front page of Digg.... this disappointed.
- Setter, on 05/20/2008, -31/+5How to get the most out of Gcal:
1) Export data to Outlook.
2) Close the browser.- willemmulder, on 05/20/2008, -1/+2I have a feeling you shouldn't take "get out of Gcal" literally...
- Duositex, on 05/20/2008, -1/+9Yes... everybody lock your scheduling data into a proprietary app that costs $$. Great idea.
- Setter, on 05/20/2008, -1/+2You should unlock your pun detector.
- Karmavs, on 05/21/2008, -0/+11. It's a pun.
2. Google calendar is a proprietary app too; and, even worse, it 'phones home' about every single thing you do. Web Apps have to be like that.
- jeffwmartin, on 05/20/2008, -0/+4If it weren't for the text messaging feature, I'd never be on time.
- kgphotography, on 05/20/2008, -0/+2This is really nothing new, most people who use Google Calendar already know most if not all of these features.
Most of the people who use digg can figure this out on their own. - dpcdomino, on 05/20/2008, -0/+3Really needs to add a "move multiple" button. Sometimes I have to move 10 or more entries and that can take some time to perform...
- CheesyPeteza, on 05/20/2008, -0/+10Tricks? That like saying in outlook clicking new mail to write a new email is a trick!
Also the article incorrectly says that only the US has the sms reminder service, I've been using it in the UK here for a good while.- sundby, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Works fine in Norway too.
Dissapointing article, here is a trick for you on how to tame stories; make accurate headlines so people don't get dissapointed by your site. - enterneo, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1I am using it in India
- sundby, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Works fine in Norway too.
- BuryIt, on 05/20/2008, -6/+0***** THING SUCKS!
- Kossic, on 05/20/2008, -2/+1Maybe I should be embarrassed, but I still like Yahoo! Calendar better. It is superior in my opinion because with the nicer looking Yahoo Calendar Widget for my desktop and the Y! Go application for my blackberry.
- mal1964, on 05/20/2008, -1/+1Google is still taming it. "BETA"
- Huangism, on 05/20/2008, -2/+3buried for "top whatever"
- AppleGeek, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1Good article, but pretty simple stuff. I figured out how to do all that myself during the first few minutes of use.
- rathofbuns, on 05/20/2008, -0/+3Yeah, I already knew most of this stuff. No digg. However, I would like to know when some of that syncing love is going to be available for iCal in addition to Outlook.
- AppleGeek, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1I have a shareware app that I use to sync my google calendar and ical, so I can edit events from either and the changes show up in both. Just google it.
- redbna, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1Spanning Sync works fine yet it would be nice if this were a piece of software that google could produce like their Google Calendar Sync
- redbna, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1There's also busymac.com which has pretty good reviews. I haven't tried it though.
- AppleGeek, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1I have a shareware app that I use to sync my google calendar and ical, so I can edit events from either and the changes show up in both. Just google it.
- russianjim, on 05/20/2008, -0/+0Too bad Google couldn't have written it. It definitely needs some help files.
- Stomper622, on 05/20/2008, -1/+1Wow, those are some advanced tricks.
* Sarcasm mode off. - mcnab32, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1Here's a question you diggers may be able to answer for me. Is there away to be able to SHOW holidays etc on the calender by default without adding them all in manually? IE mothers day, fathers day etc etc. Perhaps by region? I plan on using Gcal more now after reading this to keep track of birthdays (im horrible at this) as well as others things, having holidays set up as well would be easy to arrange in advance
- mantismag, on 05/20/2008, -0/+2search the public calendars for a holiday listing and add that.
- dearreid, on 05/20/2008, -0/+3If it takes 26 "tricks" to "tame" a calendar app, isn't there something horribly wrong?
- dazparkour, on 05/20/2008, -0/+2Don't mock it man, I stopped at tip 21 and the god damn thing bit my arm off!
- egossett, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1I am not able to get the google calendar to sync with my blackberry curve. what is the problem there?. The google calendar download installed successfully to the curve. But does not update?
- HenrikG, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0The article title is misleading. It's most like a 'How To' article aimed at those whom have never used a calendar program before. Good, but for the average user... common knowledge. None-the-less, there are a couple small gems, specific to Google, in Gcal that don't exist in other calendar programs.
I personally have started using Gcal more and more. I like it and so does my computer-newbie girlfriend. As mentioned by someone else though... still in beta. But even having to use a beta application is sometimes better than the alternative. Thanks Google... - FunkyNuts, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Help you "tame" Google Calendar?
I didn't really think it was all that wild to begin with. I use the hell out of it, but it certainly didn't need taming.
P.S. These "tricks" were a rehash of the instructions people were too lazy to read or not intuitive enough to figure it out. - martindale, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Not on single page like the rest of the web. Buried.
- thefinger, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Didn't know it had gone wild. Stupid titles.
- enterneo, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1No tricks in there, I got bored reading it
- nachoposts, on 05/25/2008, -0/+0dude it doesnt work though !
