- DevastatorIIC, on 10/25/2007, -0/+36My favorite lab project: http://labs.google.com/sets
Seriously, I use it all the time. - UtopiaInTheSky, on 10/25/2007, -5/+37I'll use Google Alerts to find out when Alex Albrecht finally comes out of the closet.
- Jo9100, on 10/10/2007, -2/+24Google Notebook enables you to take notes on the fly, and integrates well with the Firefox plugin

lol - Travisty2012, on 10/25/2007, -0/+10Google sets is amazing. You like a few bands in a certain genre? Type them in and see what other bands come up and you might enjoy them too. Is there a couple top dollar gadgets you like, type them in and maybe you can find a bargain brand one. I could go on and on...
- chris9902, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10WordPress has really cornered the market on errors. I'm going to get the EU to look into it.
- antivirus88, on 10/25/2007, -2/+9Patent search? so google can get their lawyer to read your queries and get it patented before you can snap your fingers!
- TokenUser, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I do some stock trading.
http://finance.google.com is a great aggregated resource that pulls together stock prices (delayed 15-20 min ... for now), news on the companies you are watching/tracking, and links to group discussions (groups.google.com) on the stock you are watching. Very cool, and not as well known. - soupir, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Were you pretending to be the person in your pic?
- trinest, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I use Google Page Creator which is still technicly part of Labs.
- iFungus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Dude, I use it all the time in my engineering class.
- ChrisRX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4That's quite a good project. I'm putting in band names that I like and it gives me a list of more in the same genre. It's picked out quite a few good bands that I've never heard of before.
- AmazingAndrex, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Translate is effing awesome.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -2/+6The story fell apart with the first sentence. If you asked that question to a broad selection of average internet users, the vast majority would say "Google does other stuff but serach?" Most people don't use ANY Google services, other than their search engine.
- mathew_bug, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3oops. it should be http://www.google.com/patents?id=ngAuAAAAEBAJ
- Trecherus, on 10/25/2007, -2/+5Patent Search is great. Megatron patent (http://www.google.com/patents?id=ngAuAAAAEBAJ)
- technoredneck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Okay, this is just plain neat.
- videoseekr, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4You'd be surprised how few non-geeks actually know about GMail. Hotmail and Yahoo Mail are still where it's at for 95% of internet users.
- DMCer, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2I usually only use Google to serach as well.
- galvorn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2They archive your mail so that if servers or hard drives die they'll have a copy that they can serve up to you. If you'd rather take the chance on your own hard drive dying to preserve your privacy, then go right ahead. Nothing really diabolical about it being stored and archived on many servers. It's just robust computing.
- andoru, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Exactly - at my workplace we are expressly forbidden to use Google patent search for this very reason. Well, not just for fear that the thing we are searching for will be invented first - but simply because it's rather sensitive business information, and we would prefer that doesn't get logged anywhere not under our control. We use a searching facility covered by an NDA that means our search terms and what documents we look at are protected.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5wtf would you ever use that for
- P373Y, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2google pack blows.
why would i want a slow google pack program to update crappy programs.
example one. google desktop. i have tried to use this garbage 3 times, but it never felt like a good piece of software. always in the way.
example 2 norton. slow as the trash compactor in star wars.
example 3 google toolbar for ie. if they are giving you firefox, then why would you need an ie toolbar.
example 4 staroffice. wtf - drgruney, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I really can't figure out a good use.
- iofthestorm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Even better is making a bookmark to it that opens in the sidebar, imo. Less obtrusive that way and it's always there when you want it.
- fquednau, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Alright, sounds like a good address if I need some test data for...whatever, really.
- samBAKER, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1When I saw that URL I seriously hoped I'd see a Google Laptop
- shreela, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And you use it to do what? It seems like I might use it as a keyword thesaurus based on others' searches, after playing around with it.
- billycustodio, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1I also used to use it for fun. Input random words and see what the set suggests.
- natch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Google Scholar
Google Books
Google Code
Google Answers (I miss that one... are the archives still available?)
Picasa needs more love from Google. They need to rev it a couple times. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I use it to find similar games that I like e.g. http://labs.google.com/sets?hl=en&q1=just%2520caus ...
- ericab, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Send to Phone is my personal favorite http://tools.google.com/firefox/sendtophone/index. ...
- tomatopad, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Programmable Google news is a great time saver : type in 'Ron Paul' and the name(s) of your favorite topics, politicians, sports teams and you can completely bypass repetitive, fictitious, and uninteresting war news.
- vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1...and is going to be replaced by Google Wiki.
- jcaino, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Grow (a) Set. sorry.
- masskurec, on 03/03/2009, -0/+0google is overrated
http://xptweak.net - TROGDOR42, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4I'm pretty sure they 'get no love' for a reason, not to mention the fact that people do like Google News. Gmail and gCal get love because they deserve it, and Google Pack gets 'no love' because we have no use for it.
- scronide, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11. List
2. List
3. List - ikilledkenny, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0They may not be used by many people, but I use the google pack and labs utilities that google offers. I enjoy them. The pack offers tools that are very handy, and labs has so much cool stuff. I downloaded the web accelerator and it worked very well. My internet hasn't been faster.
I'm glad google came up with these tools. Everyone uses something from google anyway. - inactive, on 10/25/2007, -6/+6I didn't knew that 'Wordpress Error' was a Google service, that must explain its popularity :/
- crossers, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0I use mostly Google books and Google search.

http://liebestrank.awardspace.com - WilliamDavis, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Google knows 100 times more about you than Homeland Security. Oh, and it's only a matter of time before they're forced to turn it over. Google is unavoidable to some extent, but why let them archive your mail? I'll probably get dugg down, but Google is pretty scary these days.
- Kamael, on 10/10/2007, -5/+3What about Google Talk?? It has been dead for a looong time...
