- paradox4190, on 12/31/2008, -4/+445Yeah, but what happens when you go from Power Saver to High Performance?
- bentrinh, on 01/01/2009, -17/+426http://i42.tinypic.com/hs00hx.jpg
I did it for the lulz. - branndon, on 01/01/2009, -33/+382Dugg for not being a power user.
- Aadain, on 12/31/2008, -8/+299I wish we had batteries like that
- dcmcderm, on 01/01/2009, -7/+207I think the laptop belongs to a Care Bear and it is running on *love*
- John6000, on 12/31/2008, -2/+185Yea i saw it on my eeepc one day, thought i'd take a snap.
- dzneill, on 01/01/2009, -4/+186It's easy when you have a battery the size of New Jersey.
- rnawky, on 01/01/2009, -21/+160http://digg.rnawky.com/?s=1
Whatever :( - trixyfox, on 01/01/2009, -5/+132*They're
- Kwinti, on 01/01/2009, -9/+136I prefer my batteries not to be trashy.
- AngelX, on 01/01/2009, -4/+96Jersey girls aren't trash... Trash gets picked up.
- turquoisefish, on 01/01/2009, -1/+79Not sure what you're trying to prove
- JimmyTruth, on 01/01/2009, -1/+77What would you say if we told you that Windows Mojave is actually.....
you know what, never mind.
Mooooojaaaaaveeeeee. - UndeadOverlord, on 01/01/2009, -2/+76In case anyone was wondering at 100% that battery lasts 108 hours 16 minutes
- punkcat, on 01/01/2009, -1/+71i'm on the Family Power Plan, with rollover minutes.
- tidu, on 01/01/2009, -8/+76I wish I had my front page back
- 12345421, on 12/31/2008, -14/+81Any more info on this?
- RetepNamenots, on 01/01/2009, -0/+66The eeepc's batteries don't seem to talk to any OS properly... Ubuntu always tells me that mine's got less than 10% battery life. :(
- Yookji, on 01/01/2009, -5/+69The most amazing thing is that John6000 is NOT a power user.
- nerdherder, on 01/01/2009, -6/+65Normally when I read "lol" I imagine a slight chuckling. But when I read "LOL" I get this obnoctious Image of a person screaming (and actually pronouncing the acronym) LAWL!! LAWL!! LAWL!! at my face.
And for that I had to did you down. - KennMac, on 01/01/2009, -0/+56Sorry, I totally commented on the wrong article. Too many tabs open.
- clickwir, on 01/01/2009, -5/+59Yea, it's called a poor algorithm calculating the time remaining.
There's no special battery here, just the softwares poor ability to take the current system load and battery life remaining and put it into a human friendly number.
I've seen bad calculations like this on all sorts of laptops, usually you see that just after the system resumes from suspend or hibernation. - mooboy322, on 01/01/2009, -7/+60that's a dumb way to digg
- KennMac, on 01/01/2009, -7/+58Not related to the post, but:
sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
Your default Ubuntu fonts are horrible. Install that package and restart x-win - PhantomZmoove, on 01/01/2009, -2/+52If we had batteries like this, we would all be driving electric cars.
- geoboy, on 01/01/2009, -2/+50lulz achieved.
- mouthymadness, on 01/01/2009, -7/+52That's not very nice. I got 1.5 hours on high performance.
- honeymustardn, on 01/01/2009, -0/+44They don't rime, nor do they rhyme.
- LordSnootington, on 01/01/2009, -25/+67I see there running laptops on willpower now.
- untitlednet, on 01/01/2009, -7/+48fap fap fap...
- ethana2, on 01/01/2009, -0/+40She still loves you.
- Kragnerac, on 01/01/2009, -1/+41http://tarrmachine.blogs.com/jersey_douchebags/ima ...
- alexra, on 01/01/2009, -2/+42I don't get it, technology keeps progressing, but yet we can't make a good laptop battery that last more than 4, or 5 hours. WTF, give me my 10-20 hour laptop battery, its about time
- Ramenhood, on 01/01/2009, -2/+41Well, a Super Saiyan's power level is closer to 1 million, so I guess that is over 9,000.
- Amavel, on 01/01/2009, -2/+40Ha. Cute.
- gravyboy, on 01/01/2009, -0/+37i tried doing start, run, cmd and then typed that in.
But it didn't work.
Can someone please tell me how to get better Ubuntu fonts on XP? - inactive, on 01/01/2009, -3/+35I wouldn't call it poor. It was just telling you how long the laptop will stay on in hibernation mode. He didn't give it enough time to refresh.
- eigenweasel, on 01/01/2009, -0/+32You forgot the 38.64 seconds.
- rankftw, on 01/01/2009, -3/+33tharrr
- d4ni, on 01/01/2009, -0/+29I occasionally get information like this right after I resume from a Standby on XP. In a few seconds it will revert back to the normal value of like 2 hours..
- t2t2, on 01/01/2009, -0/+26Actually up to 6 months in arctic regions.
- clharlem149, on 01/01/2009, -1/+26precisely why new jersey (and staten island, for that matter) is not a real place.
- maelstromwar, on 01/01/2009, -4/+28I like boobs.
- dhughes, on 01/01/2009, -0/+22 It's an abusive relationship, get out now!
- McMaster88, on 01/01/2009, -1/+23dying*
- PueSi, on 01/01/2009, -0/+21I think you guys are confusing hibernating with STR.
When the computer hibernates, it writes a copy of the RAM on the HDD and shuts down. When you resume from hibernation, the computer starts normally (you go through the POST etc) and the OS loads the copy and you continue where you left.
When the computer goes to STR (suspend to RAM) everything but the RAM shuts down. When you resume from standby, the RAM content is intact and the BIOS doesn't do the POST since it was never completely off. - inactive, on 01/01/2009, -1/+21My condolences.
- Twoje, on 01/01/2009, -0/+19Except he switched from power saver to high performance. Might make a difference.
- Hakonan, on 01/01/2009, -2/+21Try inserting the battery into the open hole underneath your laptop.
