lulz! - otakushark, on 10/10/2007, -11/+123Not only that, but the graphical part of the logo takes on a whole new meaning now...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -13/+100You are weird to figure that out. Funny weird though!
- WUThad, on 10/10/2007, -10/+68I couldn't digg it just because in reality, zune upside down is auns.
- phip42, on 10/10/2007, -29/+84Has anyone who bashes the Zune actually used one? I've owned a series of iPod's through the generations and they all broke eventually (I'm clumsy and drop them all the time).
I got a zune when they first came out and it is still working, which is longer than any of my iPods lasted. I've dropped it a bunch and even smashed the screen side unprotected against my coffee table and there isn't a scratch on the screen. My iPod screen would have shattered (I know, I've dropped a encased iPod before and the screen cracked, even though it was protected).
Point is, maybe you should use the thing before talking crap about it. Granted the iPod's are sexier (and picking brown as a color was stupid of Mickysoft), but the Zune is much sturdier then the iPod, and is comparable in all the other factors that make a media player useful (battery-life, storage, screen size, etc) - Ubertastic, on 10/10/2007, -31/+78I don't know about you guys, but I own a brown Zune. You know what, I like the its color. I like the Zune.
(owner of a white 30 GB video iPod) - n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 10/10/2007, -29/+70http://www.*****.com/ haha well it seems that many people would agree with you
- CraigJ, on 10/10/2007, -28/+66On every Zune I've demoed the scroll wheel was broken.
- digggggggggg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+37Wow, I can make that appear on my calculator!
- muffins, on 10/10/2007, -7/+38***** you, poop jokes rock.
- StarManta, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was the joke.
- novask, on 10/10/2007, -8/+30Actually the "e" is out of place. The "zun" is mirrored, and the "e" is upside down and mirrored. It's funny, but not correct.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Now it makes sense! :D
- Drewboy64, on 10/10/2007, -8/+26Somebody is an MS fanboy!
- baronvonnasty, on 10/10/2007, -9/+27oh... now i get it! That's.. that's sorta funny.
- readme, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17It's like the arrow in the FedEx logo. Right there before your eyes all those eyes until somebody points it out!
- adolfojp, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18Zune brown is geek retro brown. It is the color of Atari, race striped jackets and corduroy pants. I happen to like it a lot.
The people at pounce seem to like the brown too. ;-) - digggggggggg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14nonetheless, the zune will continue to be the butt of all jokes, great player or not.
- Anubis2051, on 10/10/2007, -6/+19Have you ever even used one? It really is a pretty good portable media device, and I like it better then every iPod I owned before it. Sure its not perfect, but neither is the iPod, so stop acting like the iPod is perfect just because apple makes it and the Zune is ***** because Microsoft makes it. Thats bull and you know it.
- neodorian, on 10/10/2007, -9/+21Thinking Apple sucks doesn't mean you are an MS fanboy. Apple has made plenty of lame hardware and software themselves. MS doesn't have a monopoly on technical flaws.
- Scully1981, on 10/10/2007, -8/+20I've got a Zune too. I bought a Zune so I'd have the radio to listen to. $250 compared to $400, hell yeah I got one. Why hasn't the Ipod got a friggin' radio yet?
- duddles, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Did you normalize the data by number of ipods and zunes bought?
- Microdot, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15do tell... why does the ipod suck? is it because that is what you think is the anti-trendy this week?
- j0c1f3r, on 10/10/2007, -10/+21ahhh.....apple fansheep.....got anything intelligent to say?
- dubbleenerd, on 10/10/2007, -6/+17I find it interesting that most detractors of the Zune are iPod owners/admirers who've never tried using one - similarly, most Mac detractors are Windows users who've never used the system (for more than 10 minutes, at least). Why are people keen on expressing opinions based on someone else's biases?
- JoshuaH, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10But thats no fun.
- rebotfc, on 10/10/2007, -7/+17"The only time I ever saw a zune to be worked on was because the customer didn't know where to get the software for it."
That's because nobody buys Zunes. - jhnewt, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12whatever, mirrored it still doesn't say anus
- Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12You can make boobies appear on your calculator? What marvelous wizardry is this?
- jhnewt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Then why is the e upside down?
- thebusdriver, on 10/10/2007, -6/+16Actually it doesnt read anus AT ALL. Try looking at that upside down and see if it says zune, it doesnt, morons. If you read what they have there the correct way, it would say S-N-U-E.
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -8/+17You're the fat guy with the Zune tat, right?
- unfinite, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Yes it is. Snue Snue!
As in, you show a girl your Zune and then you get snue snue. - blazes816, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11I got black, but my friend as a brown one. Honestly, the brown has really grown on me and I love it.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15Funny... but not "that" funny
- Tenetri, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Even though I know I'll get dugg down...
Its actually Z-n-u-e upside down - jtrump, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10It is neither. If you flip it horizontally, the 'e' would still be upside down.
- gamer31, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I own a brown zune and i've dropped it in a gravel parking lot where it slid a good 5 or 6 feet with the screen side down. it got a little banged up on the corner, but the screen is still scratch free.
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -5/+12I went to a Zune from an iPod, and I have to say that I like the Zune a lot more. I like the brown, too. The only complaint I have is that the Zune software is CRAP.
- Frozo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11Thats not the real graphical part of the logo. It was modified to look like an anus! lol! The real icon is a 3-D "Z"
- Scully1981, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7A portable radio with 30gig hard drive, audio and video playback, numbnuts. That's like saying "You spent 4 bucks on a burger because it had lettuce?"
- robbins85, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Oh, I get it... I'm not laughing, but I get it.
- aywwts4, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I wouldn't say I really like it, over my previous Ipod, It just sucks a little less, and the default software is better than itunes for managing huge librarys (50,000+ songs) but I preferred using winamp for my ipod.
I thought I would hate my zune but really, its no better or worse than an Ipod, wifi is a zero, it is just disabled, but audio quality sounds a bit better than the 4th gen ipod, which may not be the case against a 5th gen, I don't know. The only real good point is actual honest to goodness click buttons, You don't even need to take it out of it's pouch or take your gloves off to manipulate it, I can raise the volume through my pants and through the case, instead of my keys randomly turning my Ipod's volume up to 11.
So there it is, my Zune review.
'Zune - It has buttons -' - stormgren, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6http://i16.tinypic.com/6f8l9v6.gif
- Frozo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10Thats not the Zune logo upside down. Nor is the the Zune icon.
- LilRabbitFooFoo, on 08/11/2008, -3/+8If there was ever a post on digg that shouted for "buried as lame", this is it.
- hookshotzz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6thanks sherlock
- bdbr, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11I don't own a zune, but the whole brown-bashing thing always gets juvenile pretty quickly - this inaccurate picture just goes along with that theme. WUThad is correct, upside down and mirrored it would be "auns". Inaccurate AND lame.
- litolist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Ooooh, I see a balloon knot now!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+13It's not upside down, it's mirrored.
