- statix, on 12/11/2007, -1/+11buried as lame.
none of the things were vista specific.
3/5 weren't even Windows specific, as they were all cross-platform
one of them wasn't even a method and insisted on using 41 folders, one for every week, and day in a month. - Tyrax, on 12/11/2007, -0/+5Launchy: http://www.launchy.net/

I prefer slickrun, but both are good - dupswapdrop, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3http://www.tiddlywiki.com go here it's all you need, works in any browser with javascript. Also checkout TiddlySnip for firefox!
- skyshock1, on 12/11/2007, -2/+4Is there anything for Vista similar to QuickSilver on the Mac? QuickSilver is my main "getting things done" app.
- aliguana, on 12/11/2007, -0/+2I think you'll find yourself doing LESS with a Hackintosh, because you have to mess about with kexts and such everytime Apple puts out an update. However, if you could BUY OSX for your PC, then I'd agree with you.
- skyshock1, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah! And be sure to get this wallpaper too - http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/details.php?id= ...
- ultrafez, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1And here we have the commonly-sighted "Vista-basher". His natural habitat is in forums and in comment threads, where he stays whilst waiting for his prey: the Vista article. When the Vista-basher catches sight of a Vista article, he attacks with full force; however in the process he makes himself sound like a dick. As a being of lesser intelligence, he does not realise how much of an idiot he sounds, and continues in his attacks.
- aliguana, on 12/11/2007, -1/+2Vista is better for GTD than XP or Linux. Second to Mac, I'll agree.
- Shadow503, on 12/11/2007, -1/+2Apparently the author believes the choice is either Windows or Mac. I wonder what it's like to be completely oblivious of the millions of *nix servers slaving away to keep the internet running.
- Kythas, on 12/11/2007, -1/+2Meh. I put everything in Google Calendar and it sends my cell phone a text to remind me.
- Phlosten, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, tiddlywiki rocks!
- echolyean, on 12/11/2007, -0/+1I've used it... pretty simple to set up, even if you don't have much experience with RoR.
- inactive, on 12/11/2007, -3/+3Interesting round up here, thank you.
- AshUK, on 12/11/2007, -2/+2They forgot #11:
fdisk. - Coolcat01, on 12/11/2007, -2/+2Nice story--- I will try some of these tools.
- gekofish, on 03/09/2009, -0/+0You may also want to check out a goal-oriented GTD app, http://www.GoalsOnTrack.com - a very nicely built web app designed for tracking goals and todo lists, and has time tracking. It's clear, focused, easy to navigate, worth a try.
- dannielo, on 07/03/2008, -0/+0With the new added iCal feed, now you can subscribe to Gtdagenda with third party services like Google Calendar or Apple iCal, and stay up-to-date with your Gtdagenda tasks.
http://www.gtdagenda.com - Phlosten, on 12/12/2007, -1/+1#1 - Install a crapload more RAM and maybe a faster CPU, and probably a faster graphics card?
- svio, on 07/17/2008, -0/+0http://www.taskwriter.com
definitely the fastest - 2015, on 03/07/2009, -0/+0http://sites.google.com/site/rocketdm/gtd-software
can be used as GTD as well - dannielo, on 05/18/2008, -0/+0For implementing GTD you might try out this web-based application:
http://www.gtdagenda.com
You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.
As with the last update, now Gtdagenda has full Someday/Maybe functionality, you can easily move your tasks and projects between "Active", "Someday/Maybe" and "Archive". This will clear your mind, and will boost your productivity.
Hope you like it. - echolyean, on 12/11/2007, -2/+1Yes, and much, much more efficiently than I ever did on Windows.
- schestowitz, on 12/11/2007, -6/+4for those wishing to use cross platform (RoR) application, see Tracks: http://www.linux.com/articles/61548
- Ramble, on 12/11/2007, -4/+2Or harden the ***** up and remember your important *****.
- Microdot, on 12/11/2007, -5/+2#1 GTD for vista: install another OS.
- 31213121, on 12/11/2007, -4/+1interesting, though somethings missing... The best program to get things done with Vista is called osx... Maybe you don't know it, but it's an operating system, and the installation allows you to remove Vista! Now, that was the first thing on your GTD list you wanted to do, wasn't it?
Install using these instructions: http://osx86.thefreesuite.com/ - inactive, on 12/11/2007, -6/+3from the description, i couldnt help but ask 'people actually get things done on a mac?'
