  • se7envii, on 09/25/2009, -0/+2That was probably the best interview I've seen with Steve Ballmer. His answer about MS not wanting to make a phone seems very logical. Obviously since Windows Mobile is allowed to run on many phones MS would just be stiffing out their own partners by creating a phone (especially if it was superior to other phones and other partners may be upset because MS has a natural advantage and look elsewhere for a mobile OS).

I've owned a zune since it launched and sure it had it's pit falls but it certainly has come a long way, especially with the Zune HD. Why don't you actually go use the device.

    He is stuck in this continual maligning and contempt for anything not MS. He rolls his eyes when he mentions "books" are digitized (ala Google) and just cant help hide his mindset of FUD.

    MS will always make billions and yet, they act as though everything else is crap. You'd think he could at least acknowledge the good points about Apple and Google as well as Linux. Instead, he has to firebomb it all. Yeah, I get that he's a salesman and all but, I tend to think he is more a destroyer than anything else. That Linux is free probably keeps him on blood pressure meds and gives him recurring nightmares. I would have loved to see Arrington's iPhone ring in the middle of this.

    Grow up Ballmer. You're up to your neck in cash and stocks and feel threatened by Apple, Google and Linux?
