- ShadowofAres, on 08/09/2008, -3/+195It's because most Diggers have firefox.
- mearom, on 08/09/2008, -20/+193McCain supporters overwelmingly use stone tablets
Or AOL - wyldraven, on 08/08/2008, -5/+132Firefox is a browser from Mozilla. It's free and open-source.
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ - inactive, on 08/09/2008, -6/+111And makes IE look like a software abortion.
Also, stop burying him - we get converts with carrots :D - inactive, on 08/08/2008, -46/+129OK. I'll be a guinea pig. What the hell is Firefox? I can admit I'm being ignorant--I truly don't know. I guess I could google it.
NEVER MIND. - str1fe, on 08/09/2008, -3/+76Obama? Firefox? Instant front page!
- t0x25, on 08/08/2008, -38/+99"EyesOnObama's had about 500,000 visitors over the past 3 months, of which 61% use Firefox, 23% use IE, and 11% use Safari."
Who cares? - conorkirk, on 08/09/2008, -3/+64In other news:
Obama uses his hacked iPhone running Linux with Firefox to read XKCD. - bensone1, on 08/09/2008, -9/+69...why is this crap on the front page? how about more of the russian/georgian conflict?
- j1ggy, on 08/09/2008, -6/+61You must not be an Obama supporter.
- ancientshoes, on 08/09/2008, -12/+53jesus, enough with the obama felating already
- livefree12, on 08/08/2008, -10/+52John McCain supporters used to use Netscape and aol browser hehe and McCain keeps putting those floppies in his computer. Heck, what am I saying, I think McCain uses a good old ascii browser... or stone tablets like moses.
- ieee, on 08/09/2008, -20/+60McCain supporters think Firefox is an old cold war era Clint Eastwood movie
- S68x, on 08/09/2008, -5/+36And this is under Microsoft why, now?
- Mohdoo, on 08/09/2008, -6/+36My guess is
Netscape 4.0 - 35%
AOL 6.0 - 30%
Internet explorer 6.0 - 30%
Firefox - 3%
Safari - 2% - inactive, on 08/09/2008, -21/+51Get. A. *****. Life.
Lamest story ever!! - Rolcol, on 08/09/2008, -12/+39McCain probably finds it nifty that most computers come with cup holders.
- klitzbtc, on 08/09/2008, -8/+30who ***** cares? honestly?
- zdiggler, on 08/09/2008, -4/+26You don't even know how to use a Abacus!
Most McCain supporter probably don't use the internet, they get all the information they need from FoxNews!
- sdizier, on 08/08/2008, -10/+31[tongue in cheek] Rebublicans don't know what a browser is or what this internet thingy does.
- nsmiller, on 08/09/2008, -4/+25You mean there are people out there who still use Internet Explorer? Are they Amish?
- Gemfinder, on 08/09/2008, -3/+23Floppies?
No, man, he's wondering where the punch cards go.
But at least it's a step up from the abacus. - inactive, on 08/09/2008, -4/+22not me
- inactive, on 08/09/2008, -6/+23So the ***** what?
- Auraness, on 08/09/2008, -10/+28What'd you expect? McCain hasn't even discovered the internets yet.
- somestranger26, on 08/09/2008, -3/+19@hungryduck
I bet they're the kind of people that go to Best Buy to get games installed on their 360. - calidor, on 08/09/2008, -13/+28you cared enough to post a comment
- hungryduck, on 08/09/2008, -7/+22I'd say
IE - 90%
Other - 10%
I don't think McCain supporters are capable of installing software. They're the kind of people who have to go to Best Buy and have them install it. - dupems, on 08/09/2008, -1/+14Who gives a *****?
- MadOgre, on 08/09/2008, -3/+16It is...
- indiancompanion, on 08/09/2008, -2/+15completely irrelevant statistic, might as well poll people on what brand shoes they wear in correlation with their political preference
- DimitriVetra, on 08/09/2008, -6/+19What does this mean? Absolutely nothing to me...
- inactive, on 08/09/2008, -2/+15Because of all of the browser elitists on Digg.
- infinitus64, on 08/09/2008, -5/+18they do not have the internet because their tubes got clogged with all the wiretaps to catch the mehican turrists that are trying to to take thur jarbs.
/sarcasm and intended uneducated misspellings. - Iaianrocks, on 08/08/2008, -6/+18AW yeah about time ... wish my site was the same. would make life easy
- Haecceity, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1154% Morse code
21% telegram
15% parchment
10% carrier pigeon - DOPPELGANGING, on 08/09/2008, -1/+12Wow....most worthless front page item today!
Buried. - digitalpencil, on 08/08/2008, -12/+22i wonder what specs are for http://www.johnmccain.com/
- noahgelman, on 08/09/2008, -3/+13Im gonna assume it can't run Crysis
- brianjlowry, on 08/09/2008, -3/+13The stats behind connection speed are even better.
They are all measured in baud!
http://instantrimshot.com/ - Barackalypse, on 08/09/2008, -4/+13The real story here is how many are Mac users.
Firefox has 42.6% browser share on the Internet at large, while Safari is only 2.5%, therefor this site has about 50% greater concentration of Firefox users, but over 400% as many Mac users.
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.a ...
I guess this isn't surprising, they accuse Obama of being an elitist, therefor the elitist Mac users would be likely supporters, they've already shown they're willing to overpay for something based on style. =) - norman619, on 08/09/2008, -2/+12Obama supporters wipe their asses with their left hands....
WTF?! Why is this stupid ***** news? - Galaxylander, on 08/09/2008, -4/+13There's a difference? The both move about as fast as eachother.
- diemunkiesdie, on 08/09/2008, -0/+9Possibly because you chose to toss in your website address at the end if your comment! "Shameless" promotion is annoying as hell!
- sup34dog, on 08/09/2008, -4/+13completely wrong.
- Mossmaal, on 08/09/2008, -0/+8actually that would be an interesting statistic if you had the price of the shoes, it would answer some interesting questions such as do the 'hipsters' of society vote for the younger better looking candidates, the firefox statistic shows that obama supporters are more likely to take the time and research what the best programe/person for the job is and not just use the incumbent ie. Republicans/ Internet Explorer
- arjie, on 08/09/2008, -0/+8Because, eh, you're just randomly multiplying numbers and adding them, dude. You have no understanding of statistics whatsoever.
- tito13kfm, on 08/09/2008, -1/+8How about middle class people who don't want mommy government running their healthcare, retirement, and lives. How about intelligent people who seem to realize that tax and spend isn't a good option. How about people who actually support our military and their efforts to keep the world in order?
- akchrs, on 08/09/2008, -9/+16It just means a lot of people use firefox. I'm sure the McCain websites get the same numbers. It's kinda funny how the Obama supporters think they're so cutting edge.
- inactive, on 08/09/2008, -3/+9why are people digging this down? its the truth.
