XP was likely not counted in their total, which makes sense given that it's Windows 5.1, which brings our list to:
Windows
Windows 2
Windows 3
Windows NT 4
Windows 2000
Windows Vista
The minor releases weren't counted, and 7 is a "minor" kernel change. It's still nuts and confusing. - sidebargeek, on 10/13/2008, -1/+1The name does not need to reflect the kernel version. XP wasn't Windows 5.2 by name it was named Windows XP.
- jaimyp, on 10/14/2008, -1/+0Great, I like the name. It's simple and professional. As it should be.

Good job, Mike. Good job. - PoorLad, on 10/13/2008, -4/+0http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5193/sevencq1.j ...
