- telepheedian, on 12/13/2008, -12/+114MS confirms that all versions of IE have critical new bug: their mere existence.
- mysticalone, on 12/13/2008, -4/+88I don't see anything wrong with using IE. OH ***** MY MOUSE JUST MOV-
- TritonX, on 12/13/2008, -4/+80And you think those people will be able to disable a .dll without calling you ?
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -12/+76Thats why i love mozilla and chrome :)
- DarkShroud, on 12/13/2008, -4/+67You can't uninstall IE. You can try and it will appear uninstalled but it's still in the system. It's best to keep it up to date and locked down if you're using Windows.

- d0nkeym0nkey, on 12/13/2008, -6/+40IE is integrated in the windows shell. You can't remove it completely.
- hawk3210, on 12/13/2008, -7/+41IE is the bane of my existence, as a web tech-help/customer service person.
- neutronphaser, on 12/13/2008, -1/+27They store everything you did ever.
But really you should treat everything you do ever on the Internet as if it is being stored. - jvincent08, on 12/13/2008, -3/+29"Firefox. Opera, and Chrome are not nearly as polished and secure as IE is."
I lol'd. - netneutrality, on 12/14/2008, -1/+26Dear Internet Explorer users,
We hate to say we told you so, but we told you so.
Love, Mozilla/Opera/Safari/Chrome/Konqueror/Netscape/Lynx users. - CalcProgrammer1, on 12/14/2008, -1/+25It's a program designed around one basic function: crashing. They've been working hard to make it crash well, but it keeps having this bug where it browses the Internet. With every new release, they fix this bug, and it browses the Internet less while crashing more. Hopefully by IE 10 we won't have to browse the Internet at all before crashing.
- Wang, on 12/14/2008, -2/+22I love Firefox, but don't get cocky folks - Firefox (and other browsers) have had their fair share of security scares (and will continue to)

- netneutrality, on 12/14/2008, -3/+19I misread that as HOUSE. I lol'd.

- Black6x, on 12/14/2008, -0/+15Nuke it from space. It's the only way to be sure.
- nrox653, on 12/14/2008, -2/+17IE replica? Seriously, have you even seen the way IE 7 copied the "extension" idea from Firefox? You're an idiot.
- falafelkiosken, on 12/13/2008, -3/+17those are the ones who don't care, if they did they would've switched already
- thomasonfa, on 12/14/2008, -4/+18This is about as shocking as news as:
1) We are in a recession.
2) Clay Akiens is gay.
3) There were no WMD in Iraq.
Thanks M$ for the obvious. - inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+14aw come on, m$ is keeping you in business!
- DjOverEZ, on 12/14/2008, -2/+15I'm gay.
- CalcProgrammer1, on 12/14/2008, -0/+13More like driving a car with no steering wheel straight into a solid brick wall while you're asleep
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -1/+14People who need to use SharePoint (IE Tab in Firefox doesn't really work, before you say it).
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -10/+22no, that wouldn't work, then how would I play all my games and use all my software? oh, right, that wasn't a serious suggestion.
- yetAnotherCroc, on 12/13/2008, -5/+17...will simply have to learn the hard way. They've had ample opportunity to try something else these last few years.
- codyjoe, on 12/13/2008, -8/+20can't believe you thinks 70 per cent of the people on the INTERNET are stupid!

- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -2/+13hey, I'm a windows fanboy m'self, but if you don't know how horrible IE is, I suggest googling it. Any of the browsers are fast with a broadband connection, that's a weak argument there guy.
- js281, on 12/14/2008, -1/+12I wish! More like:
Dear IE,
GTFO.
Sincerely,
35% of the internet - akchrs, on 12/13/2008, -6/+17I clicked on a link in an email and it opened up IE, I use Firefox. I didn't know they used tabs now that's how much I don't care.
- barktwiggs, on 12/14/2008, -2/+13Using Opera since before that...
- yetAnotherCroc, on 12/13/2008, -4/+14A horrible horrible thing that is best avoided. If you ever see one, run in the other direction as fast as you can!
- RBrenner14, on 12/13/2008, -3/+13now when will recommend disabling proper spelling of grammar because it sucks
- magus_melchior, on 12/14/2008, -1/+10See, that's where you install Firefox Portable (or heck, even Chrome) and make a shortcut that says, "Internet"...

- sebby2022, on 12/13/2008, -5/+14now when will recommend disabling grammer because it sucks

http://i37.tinypic.com/29kosvt.jpg - magus_melchior, on 12/14/2008, -1/+9Office peons are generally forced to use it, if there are services that have to be accessed from the Web. Thanks to Microsoft's ham-fisted business dealings in the '90s, many of them still use ActiveX controls to do business, which all but kills off Opera, Gecko, and Webkit. IETab is hit-or-miss, which means "unusable" in an office.
