  • da_bradler, on 05/28/2008, -4/+37it's not the white square it's the thick blue menu bar on the top of the white square. That's the default theme for windows XP and has not been used on any other OS.

    Of course they could be running a custom theme on a different OS. but what's more likely, that it's windows XP default theme or some other OS with a custom theme?

    When the cylons rebelled they used windows 2000 and the colonials switched to Linux to prevent hacking.

    When the cylons wanted to eliminate the human race they upgrade to windows xp. The colonials went back to telephones.

  • staticneuron, on 05/28/2008, -1/+10Independance Day was just a modern retelling of War of the worlds..... just done in a campy way. I liked it. Alien invades.... fries the capitols with their weapons, none of our weapons work and as soon as it seems all is lost....... a virus takes them out. the big difference is that in ID4 humans creaded the virus and in war of the world it was dumb luck cause we sure weren't getting close enough to the aliens without being killed.

    Of course I like war of the world better but ID4 has charm.
