To help provide a single link that randomly chooses a mirror server to download from. It's a ~300MB download so perhaps the owner wants to keep bandwidth usage down once a few mirrors are set up. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://nubuntu.thedataprojects.net/nubuntu-live-i386.iso
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1^ mirror...forgot to say that...lol
- DarkSenay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sys, we can add that to our list if you dont mind
- NtroP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WTF!? I try to download and all I get is an empty click.php file (Linux+Firefox).
Why can't people use plain old download links anymore? They always have to get cute and fsck with what works until it's broken. - gonffen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Catullus, in the future it is planned to be a full OS and if you full the directions on the forums you can install it to hdd if you really want to
- gonffen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Please seed the torrent if you have it downloaded: http://tinyurl.com/dfs9a
- T8y8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great! I've been trying to branch away from Auditor, we'll see how this goes.
- spy1325, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone have a fully downloaded version that is willing to upload a torrent? or anyone have a torrent link?
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'm getting about 730 KB/sec down on the http iso... don't see what the prob is
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0question, i may be a bit of a nub at linux, but is nUbuntu a full OS on the liveCD or just a "collection of network tools"?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I haven't tried nUbuntu yet, but using Fluxbox is an excellent choice.
One question: Why isn't the official nUbuntu IRC Channel on Freenode.net? ;/ - spy1325, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no its and x86 iso
- spy1325, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yea,but im only getting 150 kb/s
i hate you, and your damn fast connections ~lol - spy1325, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its a full linux live boot disk
- metalrock76, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lets you choose the mirror now.
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0aight cool. hopefully the collection of network tools will mean it will make networking easier than in other setups, like Kanotix that i tried the other day
- dhp1080, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The original founder is good friends of the network's owner, so it was just kind of natural to do that.
- degoba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Love this distro. Best part about it is that is used apt-get, and utilizes fluxbox.
- h3adstr0ng, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0screenshots use that new css thing rather than opening another window.... sadly the picture is choppy since its sized down :(
- dhp1080, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it's a livecd
- middy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The direct download link works fine for me right now.
- n3tfury, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"damn i wish there was an undigg button."
serves you right, you digg happy bastard. - Flood_of_SYN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Anyone know where to find that Jessica Alba wallpaper in the screenshots section of the nUbuntu site?" By hcastro
Here yea go.
http://www.google.com/images?q=Jessica+Alba&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&imgc=gray
http://www.jessica-alba.com/plugins/gallery/albums/Entertainment%20Weekly%20Must%20List%20Photoshoot%20Outtakes/Jessica-Alba.com-Entertainment_Weekly_Outtakes_2005.hq01.jpg - dotuplink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0is it mac compatible?
- hcastro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone know where to find that Jessica Alba wallpaper in the screenshots section of the nUbuntu site?
- cyfer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yay!
- spy1325, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i can't get it to boot all the way, it sticks after asking which video driver to load, and then scrolls alot of text, but gets stuck .. lame
- nbx909, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nubuntu is also looking for a debian based server ( perferably ubuntu or nubuntu) to run their repositories from, contact me (nbx909) threw the irc chat or by email at nbx909 at gmail.com
- funkytaco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can't think of a time I would personally need this distro as a livecd.
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@gonffen: aight sounds good, i just burned it, so i'm trying it now
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dammit. is there some way to have it auto-config wifi for you as easy as xp does (i know that sounds bad, because linux and windows shouldn't have the same set of expectations held of them, but i can't seem to get wifi working so mehh....)
- dranyam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no and that's why the front page system is flawed
- jerikom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nUbuntu really is a good distro. I even installed it onto my main system using ubiquity (an ubuntu live cd installer). I run my webserver on it and haven't had any problems, yet. The only fault is that you can't compile straight out of the box, but that isn't a major problem. Setting that up is easy enough. Not only has the developer made it an excellent network distro, but has leaned towards making it a nice desktop OS also. My girlfriend even uses it. If my dog had thumbs, and a fully functional human brain I'm sure he'd use it too.
- 8^)Jung, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't people actually look at a page BEFORE they digg?
+digg - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"damn i wish there was an undigg button."
hmmm...there is a undigg button in your profile dumby - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this distro would be useful for war driving, checking the security or your or your companie's network etc.
- raxial, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this'll be useful....+digg
- mikeod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont see this as something that people need or want. I can install the same software on top of an existing Ubuntu installation. It is nice that it uses fluxbox. I just dont see this distribution getting popular or going anywhere.
- Darth_tater, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0haha... someone should make a front page story telling everyone that there IS an undigg button
if i had a webpage/blog i would HELLA do that - 7of7, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1What they really need is a Noobuntu. I'm sick and tired of people with Linux problems coming into the tech support hotline that I work for. If you don't want to spend 1000 hours digging through web forums trying to make your OS work, then don't use any variant of Linux.
- calebdesu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0damn i wish there was an undigg button.
- bjtitus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0heh. They're using lightbox.

lets see how this turns out - sneakywombat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Lol, sorry, should have been more specific - i wish there was a way to vote down a digg - not your own digg. Sorry lads.
- spy1325, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0haha... someone should make a front page story telling everyone that there IS an undigg button
- sneakywombat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0ugh, i wish there was an un-digg button.
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0there *IS* an undigg button! why do people keep saying that. go to your profile, and look at your dugg stories. there's an undigg button next to each one
- verucasalt, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0never heard of it. no digg
