- tombee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I think you're missing the point of a LiveCD for Security testing... please explain to me where Open Office comes into testing security?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7will there be any snakes on this flight?
- mubix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You can also digg the story to help spread the word about these awesome videos at
http://digg.com/security/Missed_ShmooCon_Go_now./ - Duelus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6great job tom!
- tombee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5For those of you interested in Security and stuff, check out the videos of some of the speakers from Shmoocon earlier this year: http://shmoocon.org/schedule.html
- dhp1080, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6You don't quite understand that this is a Live security based distro. If you want to include these things on a small bootable cd, good luck keeping it within a resonable size. If you use the availiable harddrive install script, you can easily apt-get open office and anything else. Read before you criticize. Thanks.
- stephen2417, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That's done with lightbox:

Going to download nUbuntu in a bit and try it out, looks awesome. Though resembles phlak ( http://www.phlak.org/ ) - djoek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5haha this rocks, hopefully next flight will have the latest nessus as well but for the rest this one's a winner! dugg!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6this great, can't wait to see what Tom has in store for us this time.
- tombee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I need to add up to date screenshots. Those are like pre-xmas screenshots
- gonffen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Apparently you missed the point of nUbuntu.
I'm sorry.
The idea of it is so that you can have an optimized iso for security related operations.
Web browsers and communication tools SHOULD be included because
1) securityfocus.com
2) IRC
Okay so you have a problem with the massive amount of packet sniffers?
Who cares? The iso is ~350MB which being WAY below the 700MB a cd holds gives room for such bloat.
Not EVERYBODY likes to use ethereal and since it doesn't affect the operation of the live-cd to have the binaries for another why shouldn't it be there? If you can give me a reason please do.
nUbuntu is not meant to be used by the paranoid. - HomeDawg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Awesome, cant wait!
- cphuntington97, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4cool... I *heart* fluxbox and ubuntu

- dragulaaeop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3For those that don't get the allusion, here: http://imdb.com/title/tt0417148/ and http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=info&id=1808718760
- xswag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This will be a nice addition to the Auditor-200605-02-ipw2100 disk ( I don't really like the new combined project with 'Whax and Auditor' ) but nUbuntu looks SWeet!
- blandthrax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://www.nubuntu.org/screenshots.php

Nubuntu's goal is to remove unnecessary packages like Open Office? WTF? Ok, this is retarded. No digg. Undigg. - lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2What?
- ivachen, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2isnt it a bit too paranoid? Is it even worth running that many security package for surfing, aim, and chat?? Not to mention that a lot of those packet sniffers are redundant.
- gonffen, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2LAWLERSKATES!
